lmao that you included the “fight them on the beaches” voice over for a battle happening 4 years later.
bluds added that audio in every video

Incredible work as always
Another great video!
My respect to General George S. Patton for came to the rescue with the Sherman Tanks.
At this point even if this offensive succeeded and then the Germans manage to do this 10 more times it wouldn’t have mattered

Your videos are as good as Mapsinanutshell's videos, but more frequent, keep up the good work!
those 2 channels are the same
You should do the battle of dunkirk
Adolf Chudler on the right pointing and yelling, Eisenhower and Chadley on the left stone faced and not even a little bit scared
is there a tutorial how to make one of these
By this time the allies had become experienced in fighting the Germans that they were able to fight them on equal terms.
I mean… the germans fighting this battle were children, old men, and soldiers who got wounded on the eastern front.
I like how Hitler and his Marshals tried to use their old tactics in the Western Front from 1940-41, but still failed.
The issue was the quality of troops wasn't there I wouldn't say It was impossible but it was a very ambitious offensive
@@KR0TE7 The real issue was that allies had air superiority but not during foggy weather and Germans had a bit lack of everything.
@@KR0TE7 The Germans were very equipped, they had their best troops and tanks pulled form the fronts to do this last great offensive to turn the tide of war. But still, it was far from the quality and advantage they had in 1940.
Allied aerial and artillery supremacy decimated german logistics and Heavy tanks in the ardennesse forest.
@@neymarjr_.the issue is their tanks can only go so far with their oil issues
yep equiped but the tanks needed oil and air cover.@@neymarjr_.

They were so brave that they lost. 😂
You're welcome for all the food, medicine, and raw materials that American Lend-Lease sent to your people to stay in WWII, even though your people also invaded many Allied (like Poland) and neutral countries (like the Baltics and Finland and even Romania, which turned them Axis) at some point.

NUTS !
Why did they miss out British military contribution from the film Battle of the Bulge?
Because they barely did anything compared to the Americans.
@MrJohansen the video actually contradicts what you say. It appears that British forces actually plugged the gap. If what you say is true, it doesn't mean to say that they don't deserve some recognition.
@@Brian88920 i mean, most of the fighting was done by the Americans during the battle of the bulge, yeah the British was also there but they only did a quarter of the stuff
although it would be nice to show some recognition to them
This was an American sector
the speeches this guy put in the video were WAY before this battle. churchils speech was during the frances surrender in 1940
So The 101st Airborne were not surrounded at Bastogne and the British fought on the South of the Bulge. Nope.
Yeah...the British were in the north along with American units. The Americans were alone in the south.
yay
Where is the encircled pocket of Americans at Bastogne?
0:10 look closely and you will see it

It is a good thing for us that the Third Reich didn't have anywhere near the recourses the allies did.
Well for about a year the British were the only man standing against Germany and even with much larger resources the Germans failed, the air battle was a failure and Germany could not build up enough forces needed to invade the British isles proper and had no air or sea dominance. I am not sure resources were enough it was bad strategy from day 1.
@@drscopeify Germany wasn't trying to completely devastate Britain. They were holding out that Britain would join their cause, as Germany had a great deal of admiration for them. "A bad plan from day one" is arguable. In many ways it was the third Reich's only open window to set their sights on defeating their ideological enemy in the east. It was a tall order, but not impossible for the German military as it was.
@@Lycurgus1982 that wasn’t why they bombed Britain. The Germans hoped to knock out Britain’s air superiority. Doing this was the only way for Operation Sea Lion to have a chance of success. Of course this was a poor strategy because Britain could make up their aircraft losses much quicker than the Germans could.
In the last World War, there are many sacrifices and consequences to bring peace, freedom, and justice for the world. A moment where many brave Men fight and die for the liberty of many and to bring a beautiful future for the future generations. Too bad, the modern world, society, and even the current generation didn't value it and wasted it like it's their right
0:46 missed opportunity to flank the American army
Winter made movement a bitch, that's the reason why Germany was able to "surprise" the allies in the first place.
The panzer divisions were probably focused on not being annihilated from allied air
Can't see Antwerp XD

I mean this just shows you that it wasn't just the Americans taking part in the Battle of the Bulge.
nobody ever thought it was, but the majority of the troops were from the United States. around 610,000 American troops with around 55,000 British troops including the 1st Canadian parachute battalion.
@@callsigndisciple626 The Germans whole plan was to cut off The British and Canadian forces anyway so you just did there job.
Reminds me of Ukrainian counteroffensive
What is the number ....???
this is 2nd battle of bulge

this is wrong...there are no major british units directly engaging in combat. Just some screening force.
Bastogne?
No thank you...
Give me a heart rn!
No idea there were so many British units involved.
Plzzz ind-pak war 1971
The germans made great despite allies only spaming troop
Not really, it was a somewhat unexpected attack along with the winter and they failed their objectives before the allies started to "spam troops"
The allied total air superiority made this a suicidal dash and only bad weather prevented massive German losses which did happen after the weather cleared up.
More troops + better air + better navy + better logistics*
@@smtandearthboundsuck8400 cant u see its 1944 germany already losing the war but at that situation still offensive was acceptable
Usa almost losing to germany in belgium: 😅 meanwhile ussr : 🗿🏃 berlin : 😢😭🔫
Funny considering the 250,000 German troops involved here are from the east
Except for the fact that the Germans were outnumbered by about a million on the eastern front in 1945 and right after the bulge the German lines collapsed and got annihilated by the western allies
@@idklol6553 not even close. On the western front they were outnumbered by 3 million(4 million vs 1 million 💀) and on the eastern front by about 3 million too (7 million vs 3 million 💀)
@@HilpaniousXI “💀💀” You literally just proved my point because the ussr had a 1 million troop difference and had a massive land frontline meanwhile the USA had to ship thousands across the ocean in order to combat the German forces. Also I’m not sure if you saw, but the German lines bogged down and took massive casualties almost immediately after the battle of the bulge and after the victory at Bastogne. The USA didn’t “almost lose” in Belgium. By 1945, the Germans literally didn’t have a chance to counterattack and take France back considering the fact that he tried the same tactic that he used in 1940
@@idklol6553
I mean it could've worked....
Staying on the defensive was a bad idea.
Fun fact: Supposedly Hitler used the rest of Germany’s resources and manpower
It makes me laugh when I see brits saying "we won the war" while its Americans who did MOST of the job...
At the time British population was about 41 million, USA about 132 million naturally during *latter stages* of WW2 an exhausted Britain who had been in the fight from day 1 and 28 months before Uncle Sam decided to participate would have less divisions deployed.
Less than half of troops landing on DDay were American.
"while its Americans who did MOST of the job..." No! No! No! the Soviet Union did most of the job.
You forgot to mention that the US had to pay for 100% of russia's war effort, so you can go ahead and make that correction.
@@williamstephenson8250 The USA joined the war because they were attacked in 1941, the same year the USSR was attacked, also what is it with people thinking the ussr did most of ww2 alone, the Americans, British, and many others did a ton too, lets not forget lend lease, where the soviets were given tons of food, boots, tanks, planes, trains, trucks and tons of other stuff they needed, also you can look up pictures of soviets in berlin and in half of the pictures you will see an american/british truck, or tank
Why does this dude always make sure that the Attacker starts off with a ton of forces first and then all of a sudden the defender gains new forces, this aint always the case, during this time the Allies had a Larger number of forces already present in the area, Thats not how the Battle of the Bulge happened, in fact it was a reattempt at what had happened in the Beginning of the Invasion of The Benelux and France. The Germans quickly used several units that they had left(meaning they shouldve been the one increasing numbers quickly as it began happening) and they smashed through tons of Allied Defenses Right there, but then failed not as Reinforcements arrived, but they just reorganized, Reinforcements had already been happening across the entire Western Front of the Allies anyways.

winston churchill is no less than hitler
in fact worse...
everyone sees the bright side seeing allies with britain won the war but at what cost??
millions of indians lost on the battle field and 10m+ in famines
literally every part of your comment is wrong. there were an estimated about 1-3.8 million deaths in the bengali famine, which is terrible, but not even half of the number you said, 10 million+. and no millions of indians did not die on the battle field thats pure insanity, 87,000 indian troops died in world war 2. and no winston churchill was not worse than hitler or anywhere close to as bad as hitler, he did and believed many bad things, but he did not want to genocide millions of people, whereas hitler obviously did want to and actually did so. please dont post shit you pulled out of your ass with no basis in reality
Yeah well those deaths happened to destroy the axis
@@memesarethednaofthesoul would you defeat your enemy but sacrificing yourself? thats what I thought you wont..
@@shockingbruv8723 yeah well things happen
- 70,000 Indian soldiers were killed in the war not millions.
- 2.5 - 3 million died in the Bengal famine not 10m+
- The Indian famine was caused by bad management not malicious intent to murder as many Indians as possible. This is backed up by the fact that Churchill wrote telegrams to FDR demanding wheat be sent via American ships to India. This was denied because there is no way shipping would make it from Australia to India without being destroyed by the Imperial Japanese Navy.
- This means Hitler is worse because the Nazis wanted to exterminate Jews, Slavs, Poles etc. They diverted resources from their war effort to aid their mass extermination programs. Find me the British version of the final solution to the Jewish question at the Wannsee conference, I'll wait.
I never knew uk put so many troops into the bulge I thought it was only an American battle but they acc did there fair share 🇬🇧🍺
I think the number of Unit Cards slightly overstated the UK contribution in terms of sheer manpower, as a number of those were Armoured Cavalry units (aka tanks) if I recall correctly, but yes, particularly on the northern flank of the bulge UK/ Commonwealth Forces held firm to key locations denying the Germans encirclement of the Americans holding the rest of the bulge.
About 60-100k men were deployed. The flags are about right.@@alexlyster3459
