Performing this was the first "big" test during my violin lessons a little over a decade ago. I had already been playing guitar for a little over a decade at that point, and quickly saw the benefits of this practice. It's one of the world's easiest songs to play, so once you have the notes down you can then work on getting your body to work as a unit to accomplish rhythms. I saw that these variations are great for learning any instrument, and thus make it my first priority when I pick up a new instrument. I am currently doing these variations with my brand new ocarina, and it is helping immensely. The Suzuki method is brilliant.

I don't mention a piece anywhere herein, so I don't believe you are correcting a spelling mistake. Do you mean that I should have replaced a word word with "piece" or that I have omitted it where it should have been included?
