I honestly think starlight is turning into the one thing she once stood against
00:00am EST aired time
Its great 😁
So disappointed only 3 episodes left! They're each so packed, but I still wonder how they're gunna tie it all together, & wtf kinda cliffhanger they gunna leave us with this season.
Then there's only one more season! Dammit!
@@shara1979 Its gonna be hard to tie up evreyones stories especially with solider boy still alive. By the end of season 4 im suspecting 3 major charecter die.
joe kessler is definitely a hallucination, right when he has neumans husband in the barn, the guy looks over to see who butchers talking to.
100% a hallucination after this episode
That’s what I was thinking but Joe could also be there. Sameer could of been looking at the man butcher was talking to. I was waiting for Sameer to say who are you talkin to but he didn’t. I def think he’s a hallucination
So Becca is the angel on his shoulders and Joe is the devil
I think is the brother of butcher that Joe
Now that u say that I think ur right I never thought of that
I think they missed an opportunity for Sam to connect with Ryan and Homelander
Agreed
Who sam?
@@magikarp1666 that gen v guy
@@magikarp1666Watch Gen V
why?
My mother is bipolar, boarderline skizophrenic, her father had alzheimers, and in the end he didnt know me because I wasn't a small child anymore. This shit with Huey hit me in the feels. Neagan is Tyler Derdan.
Same, my grandpa had Alzheimer's.i didn't see my grandpa since I had been 10 and I saw him again once I was 17. He didn't recognize me, especially since I went from Texas tan to Wisconsin atmosphere
Stan Edgar, the man who stared down Homelander, was scared by a chicken has to be my favorite scene
Ironic because in the alternate universe, he runs chicken restaurant franchise and a drug empire specializing in blue stuff that kinda gives users superpower
Chicken ain’t no bad product 🗿🐔
When a defeated boss joins your quest party lol
Lol Homelander never came at him like these chickens did. It wasn’t HL but a chicken that finally caused Stan’s heart to skip
this episode kinda brings light that compound V can create parasites or make it even stronger. Obviously the scene where butcher finds the rabbit and a parasite comes out of it, makes me wonder if Compound V can give users parasites or even AMP up whatever existing parasites they have him in them like butchers cancer that mutated due to his exposure to compound V
I’m just curious if the virus will effect butcher
No, I think temporary just gives you those type of parasites you’re getting it twisted whenever you take the green compound B I think that’s what happens. You develop those parasites inside of you and because that rabbit was so small sped up quicker.
There is a leaked screenshot that shows butcher with the same tentacles that were coming out of the rabbit hole
@@MovieFilesI just hope they not gonna use comic plot for butcher and not gonna turn him into a villain
I assume Butchers tumor got juiced with V once he used it so now his powers come from the tumor and that's why he felt bad for the rabbit and put it out of its misery because the same thing is happening to him
Maaan coming from a black guy.. I’d love to see “Black at it”! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That one scene with that parasite coming out of the rabbit was terrifying i hope we don’t see something like that coming out of Butcher.
I saw the leak from a magazine,we will
What magazine@@davudisbarkhanli549
I'm pretty sure it's a V'd up tumor
@@davudisbarkhanli549where did u see it?
this compound V thing is boring to watch
In season 5 homelander is definitely gonna take over america with a fuck load of supes and kill the president. Thats definitely what he ment when he gave that " when the time will come" speech
Sage definitely knows about A-Train but it makes sense not to out him,she clearly has her own agenda and is making anti-Homelander plans for sure... waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
I agree. The minute he showed up at her door she knew her clock was ticking. She knows the laser is eventually coming unless she can execute her own plan. The only thing that should be able to take out the smartest person in the world is catching her lobotomized.
She brought up Luke Skywalker with Ryan. Well Luke fights his father to be the hero.
@@leahcanton Good Catch! I never thought about it that way, very interesting.
@@Gamwthnmanasoujojoameakakwok she also compares Homelander to Caesar of Rome, but Cesar never gets to rule Rome as emperor. He’s killed and his nephew/son is the one who rules afterwards after.

i just finished the episode how the hell you got this up already
Compound V really does the trick

@@MovieFiles Can I have some? 🤔
Rip Hugh Campbell Sr. 😢
I was wondering why you would hire Simon Pegg if he's just ganna lie in a bed looking like he's needing a vent to breathe...
I liked the scene with Ryan and the director since Ryan's first act of intentional violence was performed for the sake of helping someone. It shows that at his core, he is still a good person , but his father's mindset is finally starting to erode his moral fiber
finally a episode without a evil maniac killing everyone rather it was about father and daughter (Stan&Victoria, mothers milk & his daughter)and father and son(Huighe and his dad) caring for each other.
Finally? Why are you even here?
don't forget Homelander and Ryan, kid was enjoying that slapping scene
@@prettywong4346 homelander finally cracked the code on how to make Ryan into Homelander 2.0..
Yea, Joe Kessler is 100% in butchers imagination
This episode was straight wild, but glad the season is getting better and better by the minute. 👍🔥
Oh, firecracker is going to press charges? Cool. So should Starlight for revealing her medical records to the world without consent.
Felt like they revived Hughies dad just to kill him for no reason whatsoever; kinda hard to feel bad after we watch him brutalize a hospital
Not like it was his dad's fault.
It was more significant for huey's character development than for the plot
The revival of his dad served as great character development for Hughie that will come to play in later episodes
And it adds some interesting implications in regards to the theory about Hughie and Butcher seeing imaginary people
It seems like there setting up Hughie putting Butcher down in a future episode
Butcher with Symbiote(Parody) would be awesome tbh
In my opinion i just feel like the whole Hughie's storyline with his parents was just a waste of screen time that doesn't bring anything to the plot. Giving his dad V and then kill him off ? I really just don't care about Frenchie's storyline either.
I liked the aftermath of Homelander's passage in the lab and his new approach with his son. And i hope we will know more about Sage motivations and her plans with A-train, which are the most interesting storylines so far.
I think Hughes story was about the way he has changed from the start and his ability to make the tough decisions. It will lead to Hughie becoming the leader that the Boys need to unite them and bring down Vought.
I believe it's quite a strong storyline, it's showing us that Hughie needs to start making the really tough decisions. It's also just a little piece of emotional drama in the show. I had a hard time watching it because it was quite emotional. Frenchie's is vaguely the same, it's all about the growth of his character and I believe his plotline will actually tie into the main plot with what happened in this episode.
It also serves to show what happens when someone takes comp V when they're dying, like his bestie Butcher is doing, & he'll have to put him down, a big decision. So it explains what's going on with Butcher.
I thought it was just about promoting assisted suicide as a good thing.
That Storyline with Hughie is more for character development than for the plot
And this character development will be used to further the plot in the coming episodes anyways
Only thing annoying me this season is the fact they keep bumping into Neumann a need she’s letting them live every time. So wouldn’t happpen
They're blackmailing her ..if she takes them out some files on her will be released and ruin her political career.
Agreed. She could kill them all in seconds
She explains it first ep. She cared about Hughie and doesnt want to get outted as a supe. Its also implied she is conflicted about being a super because she was forced to hide it.
@@PaulMichael-pp9ptshe cantt kill homelander
@@claudemaggard7162 and you know this how
The Boy is pretige level satire and will be emulated for years to come
This episode was a great reminder of that. Lots of funny moments this episode
I'm actually concerned that homelander and sage are only tricking A train. Kinda obvious but still. But I really want A train"s redemption to be complete.
A train is trash dude who cares about atrain. He will sell out the good to homelander to only get dogged by homelander at the end. He is a scared little boy nothing else
He is no hero at all. You got to have bravery to be a hero. A Train has none of that
I don’t think Homelander is tricking him. Sage is probably aware but Homelander is too reactionary to allow A Train to get away with leaking info
This was the best episode of the season
Glad you enjoyed it but to me it was the worst
Yeah.. finally a episode without a evil maniac killing everyone rather it was about father and daughter (Stan&Victoria, mothers milk & his daughter)and father and son(Huighe and his dad) caring for each other.
No but okay

Korean, actually!
Sage is a master manipulator .
I doubt she will rat out A-train because he might be useful to her especially because she knows A- train is the mole..
Yeah this season started pretty slow, but it's nice to see all the plots they introduced this season are finally paying off.
So I don’t get why they didn’t just use the sheep’s blood. If the virus is spread through bodily fluids, couldn’t they just use the bodily fluids of the dead sheep that got infected?
You buggin out brodie, this episode was amazing lmao
I just kinda thought the powers for hugie Sr. was a rife on the whole like father like son thing. Hugie could teleport while hopped up on V24 while his dad could go anywhere. Not the same powers but kinda similar. I only thought of that with the nature of the kills both did when super.
And also personally I wanna see Homelander: Justice served, say what you want about Homelander as a person but you can’t deny he’s a damn good actor 1:19
How hard is it to act a foolish monster
@@claudemaggard7162 yea I know he’s such a great guy
Frenchie is so dead
I get you with the Ryan point - but I mean look at his father figures on both sides. Taking enjoyment from somebody who seems like they deserve it suffering is appreciated on both sides
Yeah the boys kill people all the time and starlight just beat up firecracker so it wouldn't seem that bad from Ryan's perspective to hurt someone for a "good reason". It parallels MM's daughter getting in fights at school in defense of what she thinks is the truth.
1. You're the goat, even earlier than heavy spoilers!
2. After the previous episode, i was very disappointed with this episode. I don't feel it moved the story forward very significantly.
3. Homelander is manipulating Ryan. He wants to bring Ryan down to his level.
Wait why was Tek Knight at the seven tower in the last scene with Cameron Coleman?
Cuz he has his movie coming out
this episode hurt
spoliers below:
i still believe joe is just fake because he finally has a scene with another person aside from butcher and yet the person didnt acknowledge or look at joe i commented this before i watched
This show like HL can be really unpredictable.
I could certainly see A-train or Ashley being killed by HL before seasons end.
A-train could be running and along comes HL who picks up A-train and flies really high and then HL just drops him to his death for taking the V from HLs apt .
I'm just guessing I don't know what will happen.
nah i dont think a train will be dying in this season tbh. He's just too important and big big a part of the plot. Sage dying makes a lot more sense though. I feel like she will have a pretty brutal death by homelander.
@@jclive2860 Yeah I agree .
Also because Sage is supposedly the world's smartest person and HL has his god complex I could definitely see them having a disagreement.
HL hated having to get Sage to help him you could tell at her apt. so when HL feels she's no longer any use to him he will probably laser her.
tf i was tearing up when hughies dad died 😭😭
I think in the end of this season sage is going to have firecracker power up starlight to temporarily burn homelanders eyes out and then at the beginning of season 5 homelanders eyes are magically back with no explanation. Sounds about right
This episode was kinda meh. The v52 + Hughie hospital scenes were completly useless mostly.
Joe isn't there he's the thing in his brain
I feel like there running low on there budget cause i find it funny this is the second time they did a off screen kill i want the gore bring back the GORE!! I also have a theory that homelander is actually manipulating Ryan to start off with low punishments like having the woman slap the guy and start working his way up to murder without empathy and the whole talk about him not manipulating Ryan is BS to ease Ryan's ideas about homelander/his father not manipulating him so he thinks homelander knows what it's like to be tricked so why would he do it and kinda have him trapped in this idea.
This is my favorite episode of the season so far
A train into the multiverse probably better then flash
Lol
Homelander just having dealt with how he was raised could just be making a real attempt to be better raising Ryan but you know in the were better than everyone way
I’m soooo hyped to see what role of the parasite inside butcher is going to have. I wish it becomes like a knock off version of venom and covers his whole body head to toe, large mouth, gooey, big eyes etc, not just tentacles 👀 😊😂
I completely agree as far as the relationship between Homelander and Ryan. it just seems his character is very inconsistent. I understand he’s only like 12 years old and he still learning a lot about himself, but I kind of wish that they would pick an angle with him. I’m curious to know if Butcher is going to be some type of version of the venom character. With the whole good and bad side. I’m wondering if eventually he might need to be put down…
The KFCs were the outstanding moments in this episode: Killer F'n Chickens.😂
I think Joe Kessler is real actually, he was the one to saw off the leg, and the rest of stuff. I think only Becca is Butcher hallucinating but Joe is made to look to be the same until the end of this season when someone else speaks to him as well by name or he interacts with another person other than The Butcher. I don't buy the "He's a hallucination" scenario
Also Sammeer just lost his leg and woke up inside a barn, he has the right to look as confused as ever, or maybe he recognized Joe Kessler and that's why he gave that look.
“HOMELANDER’S CALLIN’ ☎️!
ARE YOU GONNA PICK UP?!” (*”PICK UP THE PHONE BABY 🗣️🗣️🗣️”*)
Butcher's friend is so obviously not real.
I wonder how many of the people who kept rationalizing hugheys mom being a hallucination are here like wtf bahaha
I was so sick of hearing she wasn't real; made zero sense.
@@shalinalewis2957 me too lol.. Now all there is are crickets
@@shalinalewis2957 the argument was oh you really think cuz hughey only took one less dose of temp V that he didn't have any damage either? First off we know he had a little damage yes but narratively they set up hard facts that taking one more dose was fatal where as not taking one more dose you'd be 'fine'.. Hughey thanked butcher many times for saving his life.. It wouldn't make sense story wise for him to have the same punishment story wise as butcher when the diagnoses was laid out so clearly lol. Hughey is supposed to be the real hero of this story butcher the villain
I feel like that scene where that girl slaps the director dude, might be like a foreshadowing of something, possibly Ryan beating up homelander.
About Sage, it feels like she's playing something herself. Since the day one the way she looks at everyone just feels like she got something going on behind the scenes. Maybe even had some kind of plan before she got into the seven.
I don’t think butcher has powers. It might just be the parasite doing the work for him
That kinda went right by me I thought she had problems with her power cause there was almost zero electricity where they were after that light bulb 💡 popped out. I don’t think there was any electricity in that barn. That what I thought atleast 🤷🏻♂️ dunno 😂 - and i absolutely love homelander and his boy now it was too fun to see it was too good to evil
lol 😂 but a really cool look into the future of the “vcu “and I have to say human look screwed 😅😅😅
I agree with you there are a lot of plot premises that dont make much sense just in favor of the plot.
Joe is definitely not real also remember when he was talking with Butcher about Ryan, he was questioning himself if he should kill him or not if things go bad
Great breakdown! Agree with most of it. GenV totally seemed like a forced cameo. Solid video. We need a Butcher unhinged episode.
this ryan fella is bipolar
We have old school comic book Bucher in the house now and everybody should be very ,very scared because Bucher is going to take everybody off at the knees. It's going to be a bloody ending, just like the comic, and no one may make it out of season five alive
Hope not.
But Cate can hear anyone's thoughts, she couldn't find out who's the mole?
i think its a similar situation to homelander trying to laser hughie, supes dont always use all their powers constantly
6:01 conscience, conscious is the adjective
Crazy theory, but Ryan will be the one who gives Homelander the virus, mirroring the scene with Hughie and his dad.
That might be true hey
That's a good take
JOE?! is the evil side of Butcher? Butcher is the evil side of Butcher...
I think Sage is keeping her cards close to her chest
They didn't even shown how they killed Cameron Coleman, I was excited to see that and then they cut to another scenes, C'mon!!!
Been loving this season!
Theory time....they unleash the virus and defrost soldier boy to burn the V from Starlight and Kimiko or any other supe that doesn't want to throw up their organs.....makes sense.
I think Ryan is well aware that his father is insane. They made a point in previous seasons to highlight how smart he is.
Homelander assumes that the manipulations that he was vulnerable to Ryan is also vulnerable to but Ryan had a mother and was taught right for a good portion of his childhood he knows if he doesn’t play along his father will lose his shit.
It will be interesting to find out who Ashley gave V to I think she is secretly trying to create powered people to take out the seven. It’s clear her being demoted was liberating as she still welds a lot of power but nobody in the seven is really paying attention to her.
I also maintain that the person in the noir costume is homelanders clone. It’s clear that he doesn’t have the same fear of homelander as the rest of the team does. He is almost trolling him because n the scenes we have seen them together in. Kripke says black noir would not be the clone as he was in the comics and that was true but black noir is dead and the guy in the suit could be anyone. It’s doubtful that homelander would personally select someone as they only needed someone to be in the suit to make appearances not actually function as a member of the group. Which is why he isn’t there at the end when homelander is giving his speech.
Ryan won’t be the one to kill homelander he knows his mother would not want him to be a killer he is playing along for now because he has to but now that he has no rules I expect he’ll take advantage of that and go off maybe to visit Butcher or maybe to find his own way of stopping his father.
Sage is going to be shown as insane as she seemed legitimately surprised that her plans didn’t quite work as intended and she hasn’t fooled everyone. Ultimately I think her goal is to make everything burn and kill everyone on the planet. It’s was established that she likes being isolated and just reading and learning but has never tried to contribute. She plans on the supes oppressing people until they finally rebel causing a massacre and then release the virus herself which she would have finished to be airborne.
I loved the convo bewteen frenchie and Annie
There has been a wide spread theory that Sam was the new Black Noir but he’s clearly Guardians of Godolkin, unless he’s playing double duty…who is under the costume. A Homelander clone like the comics?
I’ve mentioned in past reviews that I 100% don’t think Sam is noir. Doesn’t sound anything like the new noir and isn’t the same height.
@@MovieFiles Agreed!
I will be real this was easily the worst episode of the season by far. I feel like Sam and Cate didnt even need to be in this episode. I really thought Sam and Homelander would have a moment together. Also why cant Neuman kill the sheep herself, like she can control blood, so she can kill at least one or two by herself. Hughie and his family was easily the strongest part of this episode imo, I also like how they are setting up the eventual Homelander taking control by force situation with all the supes. I dont really know where they are going with Sage and A-train, like Sage has to know already that its A-train, maybe she is gonna hold him "hostage" with the information so he doesnt fully betray Homelander.
This episode was one of the best for me.
I thought Annie couldn't use her powers because she wasn't close enough to a strong source of electricity. She had her strength during the sheep scenes, but her light/electrical powers would have been more helpful against them. Regarding Ryan and other story arcs, all I have to say is the writing is really... really... reeeaalllyyy bad. But the characters are fun and relatable which more than makes up for it... for now.
Sage definitely has her own goals
Homelander is naive to think that someone like sister sage (the smartest person ever) would be completely willing to give him a hand without some sort of motivation
Obviously Homelander can just kill her because of the strength difference and survival could be her motivation with helping him
But sister sage has something he needs
Which is guidance and help running things like Vought
She knows if she played her cards right Homelander would not kill just her unless he’s inflicted with some crazy hysteria
As for what she’s truly after well I can’t say
Before this she was just living life giving herself lobotomies and reading books
Now she is the shadow that controls vought
Maybe her goal is entertainment
Super heroes have always had guilty pleasures and stuff so maybe she gets her rocks off by helping Homelander some way
Maybe she’s a good person and has a grand plan for systemic change to make sure people like Homelander are never made again (which would fit into the themes of the series)
Hell maybe she plans on becoming a god legit cannot say
How much compound V does one need to upload this quick.
I’ll have to ask frenchie, he’s my plug
Most definitely the best episode this season!
That episode was awesome🔥
They really shat all over Disney and Comic-Con with this… even tho I’m a marvel stan that was a highlight for me lol… also I HATTTTE HUGHIES whole arc this season it’s sooooo tired. How much longer will we have to watch hughie be such a wuss
I mean Hughes slice and dices that shining light dude last episode and put his own dad down this ep. I think he's getting tougher
The shots at Disney was hilarious 🤣
He is anything but a wuss he always ends up confronting his fears, being afraid doesn't make you a wuss, especially when you face them fears head on.
He literally had to put down his own dad? He's becoming more couragious throughout the show
Bro hughie has always been a wuss have you actually watch the previous seasons??
Such an amazing episode, all the parodying to marvel lol
Shaun of the dead is now dead 😑
I understand the producers would always weave in some of their own political kinks into the show, but having a character that’s clearly based off of Tucker Carlson get brutally beaten by their superhero creations is pretty low brow.
Next episode we will finally get the black noir in action I think only makes sense I think that’s missing from. The the trailer
Worst episode of S4 so far, tough since it seems like the first by a new(?) writer on the team. Loved Sage (watching), Deep (confident abuser) and A-Train (keep "cool").
Considering Sage keeps using a rockslide metaphor, if FC can beat her it won't be about smarts.
Episode 4 was very much focused on forgiveness, 5 didn't feel tight like that. Relationship with violence?
As for Ryan, he spoke Spanish and made lego movies. It's stuff that HL doesn't recognize that I like about their dynamic, as well as HL being a dad. I'm let down by most writing choices for Ryan and was hoping he'd make a less sadistic choice, a wholly Becca(?) choice leading to HL's unconditional support and irritated confusion.
that joe could be the brother of butcher talked to ryan?
the brother who died.
Butcher brother died a while ago. Season 3 covered that.
Last 2 episodes blanked
Last 2 were my favorite lol
I loved this episode I think it was really good. Funny and well acted
I was a bit disappointed with this episode it was ok but I had higher expectations, farm part was ok but it could be more and Hughie and the dad part was ok but expected zombies and (dont stop me now) scenes
WOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH HES BACCCk
Really find the Hughie subplot really boring... and same with frenchie
In my opinion everyone else is great but Hughies arch is so rushed and lack luster
Episode 5?!
Yeah episode 5
just finished the episode.... this was alot.
Your voice sounds different, care to share?
This episode was definitely filler, it was nothing but set up for the later half. Every season has to have 1 episode of nothing but set up and guess this one was it
this season is so poorly written. bunch of loopholes frenchie's relationship with kimiko is gone and shoved up lgbt sht to him for no reason. keep on making fun of the right but no jokes about left.
Media literacy
Yeah if there were a left that had any power that would be pretty cool.
He's been bi since season one when they show a flashback and his making out with a dude. God forbid someone be bi or gay
The show has always been progressive leaning even the comics
It’s not like South Park where they make fun of both sides
Frenchie and Kimiko had sparks but they seem to treat each other more like family
And Frenchies sexuality has been explicitly shown and told to us by other characters
He has a thrupple with other guys within the first few seasons if I remember too
It was the worst episode: boring suspense. Butcher is going nuts more and more: becca represents the orthodox path, joe the sadic path. He is split up. Nothing too much interesting happens. The v-compound sub story for the father of Hughie, just to say farewell...the appearance of the two superhero students out of the blue.
At least sage gives me hope, because i'm trying to understand what she is doing: she knows imo about A-train treasome. While ryan is being manipulated by the "I don't want people to manipulate you like happened with me" father. Seriously, ryan would not enjoy (at the moment) seeing people get hurt. This schadenfreude could have been better represented.
I can justify this episode to be less entertaining after the 4th, but I hope next one will be the bomb
Calling a rosary 📿 a necklace is wild it has religious significance. Do better
Yo im second
Appreciate you
