🖕: Worst Toilet/Urinal Ever
My grandparents house used to have PA cadets but then they replaced them with eljer diplomats when they Heard about the flush mates exploding.
Good
I've always wanted one of these, not the best flushes but I really like pressure assisted toilets, I find them interesting
Honestly, as a guy with male anatomy, I agree with you about toilets that have shallow bowls and large water lines. They seemed to be very common in the 90s and early 2000s. I noticed that the American Standard and Gerber fixtures from this time period are the worst in this respect, especially those on a pressure vessel or flushometer. Other models I find constricting because of this are the Afwall and Glenwall, and the Gerber Ultra Flush.
I prefer the high water lines because it makes them easier to clean and I haven't really had any bad experiences with them.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Understandable. I do see the point, I just feel like there are trade-offs to any design. I don’t hate these and I will use them, but think it really needs to be a deeper/taller bowl if the water line is that far toward the front edge, more like every Kohler until to the early 90s have.
the siphon hole looks cool, and they were very common back in the older days... i miss these toilets, not because i think they work well on bowl rinse
The bowl rinse on these is not good but they are sort of cool
Awesome testing
Thanks!
I don't think I would go with a gravity fed toilet anymore cuz of its clogging issues I would suggest going with a pressure assist version what do you think would that be my better solution what is your opinion on that Owen I need answers thanks I would appreciate and like your help on this so much thanks
I replied to your previous comment
Are pressure assisted toilets safe to use in a residential house I'm thinking about purchasing one and putting one in my bathroom downstairs now my concern is why do they blow up I know they use less water and reduce clogging but why do they explode I'm getting very sick and tired unclogging my old toilet like it's so hard to unclog it I'm not sure about this I would hate going with a gravity fed toilet that clogs very hard and wastes a lots of water than a pressure assist toilet so I'm considering a pressure assist toilet so what is your opinion on this Owen what would you recommend me
I would never install a pressure assist toilet in a home because every time the tank refills, it's putting pressure on a plastic vessel which will wear out over time. Then there is a chance they will explode and potentially cause serious injury. I have also owned a number of these myself and found out that they don't really work any better than regular gravity toilets. I would recommend either a ProFlo Calhoun or a Project Source Pro Flush as a replacement. Do you know how old your old toilet is or what is causing it to clog? It may be a problem you can fix instead of replacing it.
I actually like this one!
I've only seen 1 in my life, at a starbucks, the other bathroom had a toto front flushed but now they have 2 mansfield quantum's
There's nothing wrong with the performance of this pressure assist cadet - powerful like a flushometer toilet as it took most of the items (except the grocery bag as it aired up) in one go but I do certainly agree with you on the bowl rinse (it is garbage as it left dirt when it should of cleared it). So I rate this as "Average" not all that bad but certainly not great either!
I'd easily take most gravity toilets over this
Can you make a vid of the toilet getting a punishment day 2006 AS pressure assist cadet.
Ask BTR Plumbing, he has it now.
My job is full of previous gen maderas, they're quite good performers, however the bowl rinse is not very good. Theres one in our employee bathroom and I boosted it to improve the rinse. once anything gets in front of that siphon jet, its gone so no complaints here.
That jet has super power tbh .
Usually, the pressure assisted toilets have a short flush and don’t swirl so I hate these and it has crap in there the whole time I see at public places and rest areas and I hate these things with bad bowl rinse.
Same, they should have never been made.
Thats a pretty nice toilet. I wish they had stuck to tank cadets too and stuck to the 60's/70's we design for them and continued to sell rhose.
That was my dumbass a year ago. Boy was I wrong.
Nice! This is now in my collection!😂
Do you like it?
@@jsnxbskscnskcnskcjbzjzjbvd I do!
@@BTRPlumbing yay
CoOl cAd3t
This toilet is garbage
Decent
if you tell me i dont want that toilet stool in my home and i hate it too.
Uh, flushmates are explosive!!
That flushmate is recalled right?
Yes I believe so
Where did you get this from?
A Craigslist seller
Ok
What would have been worse is if the flushmate has been recalled. All 501-B and some 503 units have been recalled. Thank god this one wasn't recalled because then you'd have to get a repair kit if it was. Btw I looked at the serial number on it and put it in on flushmate's 503 recall website.
Yeah, I've gotten some recalled ones but I never hooked them up.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations then if you wanna use them, get a repair it (for the 503) or get a replacement unit (for the 501-B)
@@TakoElevators I've just been using the one from my Yorkville
Press assist cadets are a little more common in my area in the panhandle I’ve seen at least 10 or 15 here
I've seen a few since this
My Kmart had one of these
I've never been to Kmart
I actually had a weird dream where i was walking and i saw this cabin and it had this toilet in the bathroom and it was clogged so i unclogged it with hot water and dish soap
That's a good way to do it
I hate the fact I found this at my local long John silvers. Thought they could do better
That's surprising, they seem to like flushometer toilets.
I like those
They are kinda cool
most powerful pressure assisted toilet you have tested?
I think they all have about the same amount of power but I think my 1994 Cadet was the most powerful.
Those look like they’re over powered
Im pretty sure they stopped making those. I used to see them all the time but never anymore
Yeah, they came out with the new design in 2009 I believe and stopped making these in 2010.
Filters filled that fast
What filters?
These are good imo, Rating: B
I found wall hung ones today! Ill send a video tommorow
Interesting!
The performance is okay
3:22 did you lift the handle up?
I just didn't press hard enough
Oh lol
I have those in one of my areas
A Walgreens near me has them
Like the Madera
Yep!
The new ones suck more
I mean, some of them just swirl around you know
I've seen them with defective jets like that
Now this one you can call a "crapdet." Not mocking you or anything, the pressure assisted cadet is the crapdet.
Yeah, these are horrible
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations The gravity fed versions are better.
@@TakoElevators By far
It's a tank Crapdera, right?
Yep
And mines!
Do you have one of these?
I videoed an American Standard 6.0 Gallon toilet too
It was an American Standard Afwall from the 2000s.
I feel like this toilet passed the tests, but the bowl rinse like every other pressure assist toilet is not good.
Yeah, that's pretty typical
OCC and I: Tank Trashdera.
Other toilet enthusiasts: why did they replace something vintage like 30-90's Cadets among other toilets.
ME: Flush is powerful, but junk.
I have those at my school
Oh gosh
What?
@@IkkyuD They suck
They look so strong
It's not very strong
O k a y
I'm gonna look into my research and see if pressure assist toilets are safe to use on Google and what flushmates don't have recalled backs
None of them made today have been recalled but I have seen issues with Flushmate 504 vessels so I would definitely stay away from them if you do decide to get a pressure assist toilet.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations alright yes don't wanna hurt myself
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations I'm not sure how old my toilet is but I can check the date on it if I can find it then I'll let you know how old it is
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations I looked for a date but I didn't find one it flushes fine but when my parents pass away I'm not saying they're dead right now but once they pass away my house will be up for sale the one I'm currently living at right now and once it is it'll be mine once it is then I'll replace my older toilet then I'll consider purchasing the ones you recommended and suggested one of them meaning I'll buy one of the toilets you recommended and suggested me does that sound like a very great plan Owen
@@joepajewski6858 I'm glad I could help
trapway looks like a madera
It's essentially a Madera on a tank
Your reasons for hating this model are as good as mine. A newer Madera would be better than this tbh...
I completely agree
I was saying it was filling up fast
Oh
You are lucky
Tank crapdera.
Make it a Madera
I don't have a flushometer setup
Flush (F-)
Definitely
garbage toilet but amazing video
Thanks!
I spelled it wrong
Junk! Ratings: D-
terrible toilet it absolutely deserves an F- rating Madera tank version
try it on a gravity tank
nothing will happen
@@slurrkies tru
It would ripple.
@@charlesrodriguez7984 I've done it on my newer pa cadet and it did absolutely nothing
Ain’t smash worthy I like back spuds / floor spud toilets
Sadly there is no siphonic in the uk their realy hard to find the only toilets I see are flipping washdown but I also saw some original wash downs with wooden seat pads
EWWW TANK ASSDERA
Ikr? These totally suck.
Absolute garbage. Like no joke, even Ferguson Altima’s are better than these.
I absolutely agree
