It is BROOKLAND.. Brooklyn is in NY. Born and raised there. Visited CUA often. Never dangerous
Beautiful area of NE DC. However the crime in the area is bad and has gotten worse.

In the late 1980s, I attended CUA, and Brookland was getting rough. It was dangerous and at best risky to walk around. Has it improved?
not really..
I occasionally do work at Brookland Manor right up the road. It’s pretty bad. The guy running from the cops with the super Mario. Sound effects was filmed there.
All of DC is bad and getting worse. Homocide rate up, car jacking up, theft up….. real estate up too.
Pretty sad when the locals accept that’s the way it is.
