- Merry Christmas, everyone!
This is from the actual performance of Sleigh Ride we did for the Christmas Gala concert, at the second concert, which happened on Sunday, December 11th. After our sight reading (the "rebellion"), our director decided we'd perform the piece anyways, and so that's how we ended up here. I've opted to upload it on Christmas, and not the day of the performance, for two reasons: (1) it's a Christmas tune, and (2) I figured it'd be a fun way to round out the year.
Hope your spirits are bright and merry this season, and that you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

If you haven't seen it, here's the original video: • Sleigh Ride, rebellion...
And I highly recommend seeing my good friend Kara's video as well: • Sleigh Ride, rebellion...
making the bari sax players proud
ive barely seen a bari sax sound good to me but you have a tone that isnt honky and ugly good job
Is no one going to talk about how good this part is 1:52
Great job bro! I love the Bari Sax and I hear an improvement from last time. 👍🎷🔥
fr...He's in way more control of his horn and his honking is much better than the time he sight-read the piece, which is fantastic.
Great performance! I loved it even though I don’t play bari sax, I’m just a normal baritone, but great performance
Do you sing?
@@JonathanTheTrombonist hes talking aboiut the euphonium
@@daddychill1027 I’m also a Euphonium player but a baritone horn is different

WHY SO FAST THE POOR CLARINET PLAYERS UP IN THEIR RANGE
It's okay, the underclassmen clarinet players are being carried by the seniors!
what mouthpiece is this it sounds great lmao
Not a fan of the jazz mouthpiece but love its sound
I'm not either. I've been considering getting a new one, which'll be especially useful for when I get my own bari.
🤣
😭✨🤌🤌
bro looks like Howard Wolowitz
(im using my brothers account this isnt really him) i love the song and great job but what sucks for me is im too small to play it
Help I don’t know how to play quiet without sounding airy😢
Part of that could be because of your reed; check to see what strength you're playing on, and see if it's been "broken in" (played on for a few days, rehearsal and practice). A harder reed that hasn't been broken in is gonna sound a lot more airy than a softer reed that has been.
@@j.mitch.8 it’s a 2.5 and it has been broken in but it takes more air and it has a better tone than my other 2.5s
@@combustion1041 First, I'd like to commend you for having multiple reeds (something I skimped out on in high school, haha). Second, it could be where you're biting down on the mouthpiece. I found that right above where the reed starts to touch the mouthpiece itself gets good placement for my lower lip and my tongue, and it doesn't sound as breathy when I play with that positioning.
@@j.mitch.8 thanks man
do you know what POV means?
POV P-oint O-f V-iew
no disrespect, but you look like yumi
I can kinda see it aswell lol
