- A Ring home security camera captured a special moment in Matthews this week when a FedEx driver noticed a fallen American flag and stopped to hang it back up before giving a big salute.

This gentleman is obviously a veteran! He stands up straight, saluted the flag, snapped his arm down and turned on a dime. Yes, a true American (Veteran) 🇺🇸!!
Sadly, my FedEx drivers are young, have no regard for property, can’t follow directions or be respectful. It’s truly sad with some of that younger generation. Not all, some.

Looks like the FedEx guy might be retired military. Based on how he stands at the salute, and the way he turns after. Guy has clearly been on parade before.
Such a beautiful site. The home owners reaction is exactly how I felt watching the video. We need more people like this in our lives.
No doubt he is ex or current military, It doesn't really matter he took the time to pick up the flag and return it to its mount then salute it. We learned this first in the Cub Scouts and later in The Boy Scouts. My maternal grandfather taught me and my brother about the flag before any organization did. How to raise it in the morning and bring it down for the night, carefully not letting it touch the ground, and then how to fold it for placement in his closet ready for the next morning. We learned proper flag etiquette from him, he was a veteran of WW2 and Korea and a patriot in every sense of the word. I'm glad he is not here to see what has happened to his beloved country and the way the flag is disrespected around the country and especially the professional sporting events. I never saw him cry but I think he would today with grown adults that get paid millions of dollars kneel down and disrespect our country, national anthem, and flag. Do any other athletes on sports teams in other countries disrespect their flag?

My parents fled Communism in Cuba 60 years ago.I was born in the US but I also heard how Cuba was a great place to live and how cancel culture and Socialism destroyed it .when I visited Cuba in 2019 for the first and saw the ruins of Havana and the fear of the people of Big brother and the ineptness of Central government planing .it scared me that could happen in the US with all the socialist cancel culture. We as Americans must push back against Socialism because if this country falls to the socialist .WE will have nowhere to go .There is no PLAN B .We must defend this country to the End. This reminds me of the video of a little boy who was caught on a ring video reciting the Pledge of Allegiance all by himself! Truly awe inspiring! God bless the United States of America! God bless all who have been in Military Service!!! All are heroes!!!

My neighbor has a Fed Ex van driver who likes to listen to talk radio on blast when he drives through. I heard this myself when he drove through the street delivering packages. The caller was dropping f bombs and threatening violence 😳. I reported him because this neighborhood is full of families with young children. The next time he drove through, he still had the music turned up so loud it sounded like a concert, but at least no more f bombs. Wish we had more like this guy in this video.
God forbid those kids here an F bomb. The lifetime trauma is extensive......lol
