This is making me appreciate that he pitched it up, as i think it fits more, thematically to what he's singing as well as just making it more charming overall
i wish he included the original album cover, it just fits him so well every time i keep listening i hear just those years and days where he didn’t see him in his creative process with making videos he’s letting his pain speak and show through his music
I think this sounds a little lower than he probably actually sang it. I personally love the choice he made to pitch his voice up on this track, but this sounds interesting too!
My theory is that he pitched the master recording up +6 Semitones. So I lowered it 6 semitones (or a half step). The key structure is still the same. However I can tell in his original recording he has his vocals layered with original vocal track and an octave (-12 Semitones) track. There force why still he sounds lower.
This song has the best beat and lyrics and I feel like it would be so much stronger if he released another version without the voice pitch. Thank you for this!
my favorite song on the album… so so good and serves extremely well as the climax of the record. really glad he pitched it up i absolutely love how it sounds.
It's awesome hearing it this way but the album version makes a lot of sense because he's singing from someone else's perspective so the pitch change adds to the narrative. It's very creative.
this is cool, but I think that deciding to do an entire song pitch shifted is one of the approaches to production that set the album apart from his earlier releases.
@@ADH.DREAMING I am willing to admit when I’m wrong, lol -5 Semitones is in fact the correct scaling. Looks like Jakey bumped the master of Tommy Hanks up +5 Semitones. However unsure if RoundedWaffle decreased by -5 Semitones as it does sound a wee bit off in that version as well. Looking at the track in CAPO -5 maintains the scale correctly, not -6 If I was able to replace the audio on this video I would change it to a -5 Semitones edit.

good shit
holy crap its jesus christ
Did you like the rest of the EP?
Jesus Christ. He’s actually here
Even Jesus is thinking the same as us
Literally finished the album and was like man I wish tommy hanks was with his normal voice because it’s my fav one in the album
Facts
If only he included it on the album D':
Literally the only downside of the album but at least we got CZcams :)
this is my fav song on the album and personally i really like the high pitch, something about it makes it feel way more somber to me.
@@ki7roy i wish he would release the normal pitched version, I love both
It’s something I was surprised by but I much prefer that version over this one. It also helps kind of switch up the sound on the album.
100% worth listening to both at the same time.. you hear things you never saw.
I did that when I was editing it! I could upload a version with both Left Ear original and Right Ear this version
@@deadwav Yes please, i'd love to hear that!
I just did it.... Sounds like a horror track. Very unnerving.
@@BlackParade01 thats what I was gonna say its just not good like that
@@deadwav please do this

The man thing I loved about Tommy hanks was the fact it sounded like a kid singing it. Now this just sounds like he's actually in pain
This adds a whole new layer to the song.
The original is something I wouldn't listen to normally, so I like that it made me branch out. My favorite song off the album.
i wish he included the original album cover, it just fits him so well every time i keep listening i hear just those years and days where he didn’t see him in his creative process with making videos he’s letting his pain speak and show through his music
I prefer the original but it's fun to hear it like this
Just sounds like edgy Alvin and the chipmunks

The part starting at 1:38 hits 🥺
So glad this version exists but now I can’t decide which one I love more.
I’m gunna cry, thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you for this hot boy. Dog bless
Dog bless you, don’t eat glass
«your voice is living in my mouth and it refuses to get out»
best song on the album imo fast or slow
BEST SONG I EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE
This may hit harder than the regular one
I have been wondering how it would sound normally, thanks for doing it!
damn yeah dog bless
I hope we get this version in the future
This sounds so good, favorite song on the album. Would see live to hear this
Dog bless 🙏🙏 this is heat, I love both versions
Obviously not the way he wanted it but always love exploring from diff perspectives. Thanks for the upload!
Gives me the same feeling all the Igor edits did. I wonder if he planned to pitch it from the beginning or if it was a later decission
I thought he had a female friend sing this and was trying to find out who he got 😂 This is a very pleasant surprise
I love this song so much
So damn sad at this pitch, my feels are glad he pitched it up.
the new pitch makes the song soo much better
Damn thank you, the video is great too. Dog bless
yeah I think it's my favourite off the album
Much better
Y'know I was imagining this version in the shower the other day. The internet is the matrix. I need to get outta here.
Also thx for the mix lol sounds pretty good. I think I like both mixes. They both have their own place to me.
I wish this were the official version, goddamn

The fact for the first 30 seconds I thought he let his sister record the vocals is actually impressive as fuck
dope
Bruh yeah
Like this ver a lot more ngl, the original pitch kinda weirds me out. A shame cause they lyrics and instrumental are both wonderful.
beat drop 1:15
This is fi
Actually prefer this one over the original haha.
Wrong pitch I think, here's mine czcams.com/video/hn6rR2boNqM/video.html
Lol yours is incredibly wrong
@@deadwav Nah their version is the actual pitch of Jakey's voice. Your version, while good, is slightly too low.
