I absolutely LOVE this drone. It flies really, really well and it has an awesome range. Ive devoured it for days. I love the video record camera and the controls. 10/10 you should get it!!
I bought this drone recently on Amazon in the UK and I have to say I think it is one of the best value ones you can get for the price point. It flies really nice, as you can see in this video it is incredibly fast and flips real nice. A couple of things I really like is the durability, I have crashed this thing pretty hard many times and no issues at all. Secondly you can buy extra batteries super cheaply so your air time is essentially uninterrupted. I bought one battery set that came with 5 batteries and a charger that can charge 5 batteries at the same time for under £20! Controller is good and feels solid and the camera takes an sd card too. Really nothing negative to say about this great drone!

Got this for my birthday I had flown it for five minutes and I had so much fun. Then my dad tried it and lost control and we lost it after just getting it. I’ve been sad for hours now😢

What do you mean by lost it? You mean it flew away and you couldnt find it? I wonder what the range is. How high and how far and what happens if you fly it too far away? It continues on its own and you lose it? Walmart sells this now for $69 which seems like a bargain
@@johninjersey yeah if u fly it out of range then u will lose signal to the drone and it will drift away while performing the last command u gave it before losing signal it will go as far as possible until the battery rans out
@@thunderug5721 Yup. This happened to me. It flew off into another dimension and I cannot find it. Had I been thinking at the time I would have had the app installed and on. Then I could have walked in the direction it was flying until I got the WIFI signal and then hopefully the drone camera would help me find it :) But I didn't. It few off into the Drone Zone

Thanks for the review. I have to admit that it's a great drone I have just got it and I have never flown any drone but before the battery ran out I was already flying like a pro the only problem I have with it though is that the altitude hold works but the drone keeps drifting other than that it's money well spent

I flew it too high and then it drifted and I don’t know where it ended up (at this point it wasn’t responding to my commands). 🙄 Amazon was nice enough to refund me and i purchased another this morning. I should have watched your video before attempting to fly it. It’s important to learn the controls and get comfortable with them inside first...THEN take it outside. Thx again for Your video!
@@walt686868that's too bad but the good thing about buying from Amazon despite being more expensive than the Chinese vendors is that Amazon has excellent customer service and replaced it. Had that been GearBest or TomTop you'd be out of luck!

Great review, similar experiences with mine. One thing, you mentioned the video file was getting chopped up into 5 minute chunks. That's probably because you're using an SDHC card, which by default has a 4GB file size limit. SDXC cards default to a file system structure that supports much larger file sizes.
No, it isn't due to the 4GB limit that handicaps FAT32. The recorded video is only 45MB which was exactly 5 mins of video. 45MB is really small so it uses a very low bitrate. I believe the choose to chop it up into 5 min recordings to prevent someone from forgetting to stop recording and losing the entire video due to corruption. Thanks for watching!!

Yeah it was just flurries but for mid November that's unusual in southern Illinois. However, when did I say it was anything else but flurries or snow showers? I would never call that a snowstorm. Anything under a half foot isn't a snowstorm.

You guys have any issue with zero picture or video on the phone? Just got this thing and I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong. It shows me all the control features on the display but I get nothing for the camera on the drone. The camera is plugged up. Maybe it’s because I don’t have a memory card in it yet? Makes it really hard to know which way I’m going when I’m blind.

@@andreisolzh6050 did that. I get the controls all pop up on that function display and it even responds when I click the photo and video icon but I can’t get any footage on the screen at all just the icons,battery and WiFi. It’s like the camera is disconnected or dead.
Got one for Christmas great drone for first times to fly.crashed it a bit and still in one pice stronger than you would think.would recommend to anyone thinking of getting a drone.

Got this for 20 pound for my boy and I can't stop flying it, for the price it is a quality drone
This Drone is perfect for taking personal video's of your outdoor trips. It fits well in my hands and is easy to control. The photos snapped come out clear. I'd recommend this drone for personal and family fun use.

Sorry but I no longer have the drone. OKR works with headless mode. It just flies in reverse from the direction you are facing at takeoff so keep that in mind. If you fly behind you and press it then it'll just fly farther away.

I bought this on Amazon. It works really good in my room. You need a 32bit SD card. The camera is cool.

So it can fly for only 6-9 minutes? After that we charge the battery again?

Thanks for a great review, do you think the Snaptain drone would be suitable for a 9th birthday present for my daughter? It would be her first drone and I am wondering if it would be complicated for her to control/ fly?
I think you would be better starting her out with something smaller and cheaper to learn with such as the Snaptain H823H. Look up my reviews of that. There's no way my 10yr old daughter could fly the S5C but my 8yr old can fly the H823H. There's video of her doing so in the Amazon reviews. Thanx for watching!

Depends on what you are looking to do turn it but I wouldn't recommend this drone. It is old and outdated with a toy grade camera. Spend $400 on a Mavic Mini or at the very least a Hubsan Zino and you won't regret it.

You definitely want the DJI Mini SE. This is junk compared to the DJI and it can't record stabilized video, has no GPS or failsafe features. The SE is over twice as much but you'll be thank me for not wasting money on this toy.

I went ahead and bought this one. I dont want to go for the more expensive one straight away for fear of getting bored with it after a few flights :) Thanks for the reviews and for answering questions. I know a lot more today than I knew yesterday,. I have the snaptain app installed on my android and i bought a 32 gig micro sd cad. Walmart actually sells thiese themselves. The drone and all. $66 for the drone. WIsh me luck :)
Awesome and I doubt you'll get bored with this one since it takes some practice to fly. Honestly GPS drones are the most boring to fly because they practically fly themselves.

@@johninjersey no, absolutely do not fly in headless mode as you'll never learn orientation and how to fly properly. Sure it may be easier but you'll never learn and if headless mode become confused somehow then you may not get it back.

Don’t forget! Doing flips takes a lot of battery life. So If you want it to last longer, don’t do any flips! :)

This was very helpful! I just got this drone today, and tested it out (heh... emptied both batteries!) The only issue I'm having, is I cannot seem to get any video on my phone. I downloaded the app (obviously) and connected the WiFi to it... but all I get with the app is a black screen, with the various buttons on it. I followed the instructions in the instruction book to the letter, but still... no video feed to my phone. I must be doing something wrong. (at first, I thought maybe it just didn't have the feature, until I watched your video here, and saw it works for you... so it's gotta be me not doing something right)
Try enabling airplane mode on your phone then enable the Wi-Fi again and try connecting the app. I used to get this issue a lot and would this would fix it. Hope this helps.

Had I seen this review before I bought this drone yesterday (same day delivery... bought it last night, got it around 8PM today) I still would have bought it! I've had cheaper drones in the past (helicopter drones, and a tine nano drone that committed suicide by self activating, and flying into a cup of tea) and this one is amazing! I figured out the trim pretty easily (why can't the trim controls be that good on a real aircraft?) and wanted to learn to hover it before I took it outside to play around a bit... though... this neighborhood, the neighbors get a bit uptight over drones flying, and blinking red and blue at night... my cat isn't sure if he likes it or not. (roommates pet weasels want to try to catch it though, so they have to be caged when flying)

Thanks for the review. I don’t know if you’ll reply but I just started putting this together for my son today for Christmas and as soon as I plugged in the fully charged battery (I took the one already inside it out) the propellers started. Without the remote pairing with the drone it just turned on and I struggled to unplug it.
It did it again even with the drone power switch flipped to OFF.
I noticed one of the propellers was smoking so I stopped assembly and started looking for how to troubleshoot or if I should just return it.
Oh my, it sounds like the board is defective as it shouldn't do that. I would contact Amazon and get a replacement. It is unfortunate to deal with this on Xmas but thankfully they'll replace it no questions asked and you'll have a replacement in a couple days. Unfortunately with all of these toy drones there's a chance of getting a defective one. I assume you got it from Amazon? I've heard they are also sold on Wal-Mart's website.

Bro I bought this drone in November for Black Friday flew it one time and a bad wind caught it super high up in a tree. It is now January 27 and I found the drone on the ground there has been many storms and it has snowed here in Tennessee too and I got it off the ground put a newly charged battery in it and it flew like nothing ever happened it’s been in a tree for months and the color didn’t fade or anything it looks like right when I took it out of the box. Anyways this is a durable drone and can withstand any weather and temperature according to mine 😂 I almost threw away my controller glad I didn’t 😂
Just one question how long does one battery last for and what is max speed on the drone.
The flight time including the LVC is discussed at the 12 mins mark. Guessing you didn't watch the table review portion. There is no way to know the top speed unless you have a radar gun since the drone doesn't have GPS. It's not brushless so it isn't going to be too terribly fast.
i see that several people say that at some point it flies up and away and they cant get it to stop or return... have you noticed anything like that since you have owned it?

Yes you can find larger capacity batteries with the micro losi connector but you need to make sure they fit. Check eBay. Just been to measure the battery bay.
Just got one today. It comes with the 800 mAh batteries now. Fully charging batteries so haven't had time to really test the time on it. Once you get the hang of it though taking the prop guards off will help a little. Even minimal weight reduction helps with the little guys
Definitely good to get extra batteries and multi charge with the long recharge time.

Yes of course and the Wi-Fi is not Wi-Fi internet. It is just using the Wi-Fi connection to your phone to broadcast the live video from the camera.

It is one year and thankfully being from Amazon they should honor it. Normally these Chinese you warranties are useless buy Snaptain seems really good and they give you their contact email.

You can if the app supports it but it is a gimmick and you'll likely crash it.

No I'm not :) no sense to use anything besides the DJI Fly app.
If I buy two of these drones can I fly them at the same time? Cause in the past with other drones I couldn’t at the same time because the remotes would interfere with each other
Yes you can fly them at the same time as long as you power up each drone and remote separately and bind them. Make sure you have one binded to the remote before you power up the second drone. If you power them both up at the same time then turn on a remote it'll bind to both drones.

Bugs 20 is thousand times better! The T25 is garbage and is bushed with no image stabilization and a terrible flight time. Look at my review of the T25.

@@safy6435 these drones all use a rechargeable lipo battery. They don't use regular alkaline batteries are too heavy and don't have enough power.
The drone definitely use a lipo battery. You need to open the compartment on the bottom and remove it and charge it up.

After connecting the drone to my cellphone via the app, the camera display is grey and I can't see anything. Is there something I'm missing?
that is odd. If you're connected to the drone's wifi then it sounds like the camera may be bad. Something is wrong.

I can not figure out how to keep the control paired let alone pair the thing.. it doesn't seem that hard but it's next to impossible
Just turn on both the drone and controller them go up and down once with the left stick and it'll bind. If it doesn't then there's a problem with the drone.

You should be able to find one unfortunately Snaptain is no longer listed on Amazon. You'll have up look at Aliexpress. If you can get it to power on you can also fly it using the Wi-Fi app though that's less than ideal.

Sounds like either a motor isn't spinning all l well enough or a prop is installed incorrectly. Be sure you don't have a wrong prop installed. Also, do a gyro calibration.

Did you connect to the Wi-Fi first? You have to do that in your phone's settings before you open up the app.
Can you upgrade the 720.to.4k?
No you can't though you can upscale it to 4k in editing software but it won't look any better. It'll actually look worse.
What to do if it is blinking
That means the battery is low so land. If it always blinks then most likely your lipo battery is bad.
How far will it fly away from you? And does it auto land when it's low on battery?
I'm not sure the range but it should be good for 100m though doubtful the Wi-Fi fpv will work that far away. With it being altitude hold then yes it will autoland on low voltage.

@@Galvathorax hi, I had no range issues but I don't typically test range on non-GPS drones because when they get out of range they'll fall from the sky which could then end up on the roof of a house. If I notice the range is poor then I'm comment on it. This video was filmed last November during a freak cold spell so it was windy and there was snow in the air. It wasn't ideal for testing the range. Snaptain drones are notorious for having mediocre to poor range (50-80m) but I wasn't aware of that when I filmed this because the S5C was one of the first Snaptain drones I reviewed. This drone was sent to me by Snaptain to review but I was not compensated. I've never been compensated to do a review. I don't do paid reviews. I'm an honest reviewer so if a drone sucks I'll tell you so though I'm human so sometimes I may miss a problem but it isn't intentional. Sorry about your range issues. Snaptain is a solid company so if you email them I'm sure they'll mail you a replacement. You may have a bad transmitter because you should get much better range than that.
@@Galvathorax the poor signal warnings are in your app right? Is it just the Wi-Fi fpv that is dropping out at 10ft? If so that could be caused if you are in an area with lots of Wi-Fi signals or it could even be from your phone having a poor Wi-Fi antenna. It could also be a bad Wi-Fi chip in the drone. Try taking it to an area with no Wi-Fi interference and see if it improves.
Just got this drone in some of the reviews it says if it goes over 30 feet it has a mind of its own and goes crazy is that true?
