Sometime I would like to try the electrolysis method. Up to now I have had great results utilizing the self-clean cycle of my oven. I just put the iron in there, run the cycle, let it cool down to room temp, and all that crust has turned to a fine dust. Then i can rinse, brush, dry, and start seasoning.

These pans were stripped clean using the electrolysis method demonstrated in the video. They were seasoned using vegatable oil.
After cooking I clean them with hot water and a nylon scraper and rub with a smal amount of oil before storing.

@@speedieguy you did not really clearly show how those electrolysis method put together. You just showed a container with some liquid. And the procedure is not shown.

@@sklee1644 I'm not really an electrolysis expert. I pretty much just followed what others have done. There are probably lots of better channels devoted to the subject.

@@speedieguy is that solution can be bought on the market without further mixing ? I did not mean to ask for how to mix them as I am no clue about what electrolysis is.

@@sklee1644 It is a mixure of sodium carbonate and water.
Here is a good channel to show you how to set up a tank: czcams.com/video/ZFnPaNgQbYg/video.html
