2006 Twin engine power Catamaran Trawler Fountaine Pajot 35' HIGHLAND Trawler boat new to market preview and walk-tru of a good Looping power Cat would be very Economical to do America's Great Loop in a power Catamaran 35' boat. rare to market 285k Trawler new to market power Catamaran.
220 Gallons of fuel Range 1000 miles at 6 knots top speed 10 knots
100 gallons fresh water
2) 20 gallon black water
2) 75 HP Volvo engines
8 KW Genarator
So many cool boats. Like you said I bet with the wide engine spread it would be easy to maneuver. Really great video (of course I still am in love with the traditional trawlers but sweet boat)!
Thanks for watching!
Very nice boat
It sure is! it opens your eyes and it is a very cool boat
Very nice boat, very elegant and modern inside. Not sure I'm a big fan of the Cat layout and the wet heads. Thanks for sharing.
Yes it is a cool boat for sure
Did miss the interior helm position or does it not have one?
It does not have one but he does have a remote for the autopilot so it can be steered from anywhere on the boat with the remote control
What is the head height in the salon and in the staterooms? What are the dimensions of the beds? Thanks
Head room was good 6'5" and matterss 60" wide so same as queen berths
Whats its Draft and Fuel Capacity & Range & Speeds
230 gallons of fuel 1000 miles at 6 knots 3' draft air draft 15'
Very nice looking boat! What is the air draft on it?
14' 10" to the top of the hard top
That looks like an incredibly elegant, and comfortable boat, but a catamaran concerns me going in big waters? It definitely looks like an awesome loop boat, but I’m wondering how good it is going offshore? P.S. I’m aware this is out of my budget, but it’s still cool 👍
Typically a power cat will handle big water better than a monohull of the same size. I believe the MY4.S (the current equivalent of this one) has an open ocean rating under CE certifications, although it also has twice the engine and speed.
@@michiganengineer8621 I’ve heard of a cat would do that, but I’ve never experienced it. Cutting through the water with a big bow somehow feels safer to me?
Good point!
I am with you boys maybe some day I will get to deliever one and know first hand how they do. But talking with the owner he says it does awsome he got caught in some big stuff and said the boat did great
@@Russellsperry As far as big bows go I can't really argue. I spent most of my blue-water time on an aircraft carrier. Other than that it was a 27 foot sailboat
Volvo Novo..
So 14ft is just over 4m beam??? why are sail catamarans so wide at 7m+?
I don't know the ansawer to that, but thanks for watching
@@NoRegretsLifestyle probably so the sails dont heel them over and capsize them, methinks
Where is the boat located?
Wharf Marina in Gulf Shores AL
Great builder! but this one is not fat boy approved for a big guy like me. :-)
I can't help thinking that is a massive price tag for very few amenities with very average finishes? Is it just me?
Yes but that’s what those go for.
Most of the FP 35 Highlands that have sold in the last year are about half the price but we’re slightly older. In my opinion this boat is overpriced and has now been in the market since April. I’m sure the contracted price will reflect the slowing market.
