100%! But he comes from an angle much of the music listening world hasn't done, Nor other artists, And so it's a damn shame the hate he does get.. But it is what it is. This man is on a level above everyone.. Including Eminem! (I like the guy but he's just a product of the industry now), A level that's beyond people's true understanding. or connection. He has worked hard though and has a huge following now, Deservedly so! And still keeps to his true self... Even turning down big contracts to do it himself. Not only is his talent amazing but is integrity truly is too. However long Nate is around for, He will hold a special place in my music library forever that's for sure.
@@danimayb Completely agree! And understand what you mean by a level above.. Not saying he's some music god that is the best artist in history, It's his level of human rawness and the artistry and lyricism that back it's up perfectly.. it's of a place deeply relatable to many but not understood by many also. There's no-one on his level, others have their places and their styles I'm not discounting, Nate is just a different zone. I'm not gay but I love this man! lol And the fact he does things his way, slaps aside big music contracts to stay in control, And keeps it real.. Just cements the story.

This song still gives me chills to this DAY. Oh my god. He gives me chills. I found out about him in 2019 and I used to listen to him during very dark times, now I’m getting through something that affected me a lot but this gives me strength. All of his verses are just cold man. The last line too… “Say you want a drink, don’t wait for people to pour it on you, cut out the lives stay close to people you know were loyal, grab your own glass and fill it don’t let your fear destroy you.” that ALWAYS gives me shivers down my spine.
