- "How is Amara without Revoltor though." JUST FINE! Infact Zerker gun Amara has been one of the steadiest setup throughout the game's life span. So even now if you strip away all the DLC guns or skills, it still rocks!

It’s funny I’ve never done the Takedowns and just started the Director’s Cut stuff now, since I got everyone I want to 72. Jackpot, Bounty, Marriage and Kreig all have amazing gear but I much prefer a story mode build anyway. Gives me more chances to torture my good buddy Traunt with base game stuff.
Okay I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s been getting fake Phasegrasps. I was thinking I was just missing them.
Also thanks for showing base game Hellzerker Amara can be good. I recently got my Amara to level 72 and have been working on grinding up weapons hoping I didn’t really need DLC. I just wish Sandhawk wasn’t my only good m10 weapon right now, since I keep getting bad anoints…
I appreciate highlighting base game gear. I hope to see more base game builds. I'm tempted to try and go for a terror anointed crit with the ammo regen to avoid dropping it.
Videos like this prove you don't need dlc, and really triggers me when some dunce says "Borderlands 3 is pay to win". I think two things, this person has no idea what pay to win is and that this person just straight up never took the time to even consider looking into what can work without dlc. Nice vid as always Lazy.

I kinda agree, only character that would continue struggling kinda is Zane. The updates for Zane since release really helped him, but no seeing dead or spy on Zane could be difficult. Amara's purple tree is just for better melee/action skill builds, and no one really uses Fl4k purple tree or Moze's. I personally do because those first few skills in Moze's purple tree are good. Zane's purple tree is amazing though. To me Zane would be the only possibly struggling character without DLC.

It's 100% not pay to win, but to say the game doesn't have a powercreep would be incorrect

I bought the first season pass a week ago (bless those PS4 sales) and the only difference I've noticed is that you only get more options, my FL4K build used to delete everything, now it just deletes everything faster
I've been playing a lot of Gamma Burst Fl4k lately. He destroys with Rowans calls in all 3 elements. It does help that I have a Red Fang with AR dmg/Jakobs crit dmg/Jakobs reload rolls of course
I have had major crash problems traveling to sanctuary since the last update. And fake rack attack too

PS4 CE 34878 is on the rise for console play... Haven't noticed a trend towards what's causing it, but I'll see if there's a correlation...
Zane is the only one seriously penalised by removing all DLC. Losing the Seein' Dead, Spy and purple tree limits things a lot. Most builds would be clone / drone tree and half the green.
factual statement right here. losing the shoulder cannon and eraser is a huge nerf to him
People did want a DLC character :D

I crash when I open a vending machine before it loads. There is some kind of lag/hiccup as it loads the preview and if I try to open it too fast I seem to crash pretty consistently.

vendor crashing is ludicrously common on this map. it's obscene.
Base game Amara can still do Psycho Stabber, Brawler Ward / ASS Stinger, Fish Slap and Unleash the Dragon 🤷🏻♂️

Yeah but that shit is boring af. You just one shot everything becauss M scaling OP. Boring playstyle and some annoying farms too. Psycho Stabber never drops and the Shields never drop with the right anoint. If you are unlucky you are looking at 10k+ in rerolls

Vending machine crash is back? Haven't met it yet. If it's the same that was before, it mostly triggered when opening/closing inventory (maybe any menu) near vending machine.
That opening closing one has never left. Been having it every now and then throughout. The one im talking about triggers just looking at a vendor (no interaction). Happens to both me and Quag 3-4 times a stream.

Considering that the games been crashing from launch on consoles leads me to believe there won’t be a fix…The only game in my library that overheated both my Xbox One X and Series X to shit down. Typical 2K answer “ we are aware” aka we don’t give a shit.
never had issues as bad as that on PlayStation but yeah sucks you Xbox players gotta suffer
With the latest patch I was crashing sooo much when farming the black market. About every 15 to 20min on ps4
Have a base PS4 never had that issue, I really only crash now when sliding into teleporters within dlc 3. So that's my weird crash thing.
@@CentauriTT Yeah teleporter crashes from sliding is a classic. That one is well known.
I very rarely crash from vendors, can't even remember the last time it happened but i do crash a lot from fast travel or from loading screens, at least once every two days. This last patch was very wierd, introduced a lot of very confusing bugs and crashes.
I haven't met it this time, but when this bug (if it's the same) was active it was triggered by opening/closing inventory(menu?) near vending machine. Walking away from vending and everything was fine. At least not looking at vending machine when open it.

No nerfs. and yes GTD is possible too.
I dont get it im copying a lot of stuff and still do like no damage. Does the class mod with +weapon damage really make that much of a difference? (I have + splash damage and +torque.. torque weapons still suck!)
It shouldn't especially if you're using Consecutiuve hits or killstack anoint on your gun

how do you have such high hp and shield pools, mine at level 72 on mayhem 10 in TVHM is legit only 6k hp and 12k shield, is my game bugged or something?

The kill stack annoint: Do I have to use the gun with the anoint to proc it or can I use any other gun equipped to proc it.

I'm having an annoying crash, when using the safe in Sanctuary.. Started 2 weeks ago and It's the most consistent error, I'm seeing now.. Also, the phasegrasp thing..
Similar problem. Seems to be when I either start the game in or travel to Sanctuary. I'm on Xbox if that makes a difference
Hi there, I'm new to BL3 and I wanted to get a build for my Amara, I just hit lvl 72 and I think this build will work wonders for me. I wanted to ask if is there any better gear in the 4 "normal" dlcs (not director's or designer's cut).
Try looking at my lvl 65 hellzerker build video and check what kit i use in it. Rven the lvl 72 one, though therell be some dlc 5/6 stuff.
Off the top of my head the old god shield from guns love tentacles is a no brainer. The pearl artifact from the same dlc is a big boost. Lightshow pistol from bounty of blood. Hellwalker from base game.

Speed demon, healy avenger, drone ranger. Then for very hard post mortem really is the least impactful. But i guess whatever you're comfortable with. Roguelite is fun. But if you don't like nay of them just play Mayhem 11.

you'll be hard pressed with some like boring gun but yes. This build has a very wide weapon diversity

I've had multivitamin for 50 or 53 level, it was very good back then.
It's very good, though it doesn't provide enough buffer for me personally.

So does this mean just without season pass 2 dlcs? Since old God is still dlc
If i mentioned old god during the video at any point that was a mistake. You can see at the start i don't have one in my inventory at all.
@@LazyData ah OK thanks for your response. I got season pass 1 and not 2 so it's a bit confusing for me. For example is the hellshock better than the beacon from dlc? Or is the light show a good thing for me as a season pass 1 user
@@derfloh8986 They're on par. I personally prefer hellshock because bullet speed but beacon is very strong too. However I'd use Lightshow over both. and ofc though im not using old god here. I'd definitely recommend it if you have it.

why x4 instead of x8 on the monarch?
Its better in every way the moment a fight takes longer than 4 seconds. x8 only wins if you kill a boss within 1 mag. After that it has worse damage application and dps after reloads.
@@LazyData doesn't that depend on fire rate, mag size, and reload speed too though? fire rate favoring the x4 but the other two favoring the x8. And since getting ~100% mag size is easier than getting 100% fire rate most of the time wouldn't this kinda balance it out? This is kind of assuming top notch gear tho.
@@LennonnJohn No it doesn't. you're also forgetting x8s damage penalty per pellet, which is very large.
@@LazyData yes it does. Just did some calcs to make sure if this was right or not and came with some results. Calculations are based on the monarch. Won't be rounding since that won't change the conclusion of the calculation
gun1: this gun will be the one with the 30% damage loss but with double pellets (8 but 2 ammo consumption).
gun2:this gun will be without double pellets but with 5% damage increase (4 but 1 ammo consumption).
we will assume a base damage of 100 giving gun1 70 dmg and gun 2 105 dmg
amara gains ~27% firerate(skills and guardian rank), 93% mag size(relic+skills), ~50% reload speed (skill), -13,04% reload time (guardian rank). these are as far as i know the relevant numbers to calculate the value of these two options.
dps=damage per mag/(time spent shooting+time spent reloading)
magazine size=40*1,93=77,2
fire rate=11,43
reload time=(2,9-(2,9*0,1304))/(1*(1+0,5))=1,68seconds
fire time1=77,2/(11,43*2)=2,659
fire time2=77,2/11,43=6,75seconds
gun1:70*77,2*(8/2)=21616/(2,659+1,68)=
4980dps
gun2:105*77,2*4=32424/(6,75+1,68)=
4632dps
as demonstrated the x8 does more dps than the x4 given good relic with mag size. might have made a mistake somewhere.
