What a great video! I liked the way you flew the plane with the cowl off first to be able to make adjustments. The P47 is a very stable and forgiving plane. You are a very down to earth person and I love your sense of humor and you just being you. Awesome job Sir.
Thanks so much for your kind comments.
Great video with the way you edited and narrated it. Love your work and cheers from Sydney Australia
What a great review. I really enjoyed both videos. I've never had a thunderbolt that didn't fly great. You need to do as many reviews as you can, because you do such a thorugh and concise job. Thanks!!!
I agree Scotabot!
People have it so easy these days, back in the 80s when I was big into RC we had to design and build from 3 view scale drawings, although sometimes there was a kit available but if wanted bragging rights at the field you did it the hard way.
I do that, too. Check out my scratch built Q-Tee video: czcams.com/video/ELZKBqxJkpY/video.html
Nice one! This guy sounds like the Bob Ross of the RC world - & that's a compliment!
I really enjoyed your two videos of this plane. Your anxiety on its maiden was contagious. I was anxious with you. Great job!
You remind me of a kid on Christmas morning as you watched your P47 fly for the first time.
Wonderful!
Your narration is as great as the video.
Another balancing option is to either create a compartment or attach a small container such as a pill bottle. Into either you can gradually add lead shot, steel shot, or any available hardware to any exact balance. Harbor Freight has very inexpensive hardware assortments suitable as weight. Larger Walmart stores has some similar. Tractor supply sells common nuts and bolts for $2.69 per pound for any size.
I laughed when you imitated the firing of your machine guns. It shows that we’re all big kids and just want to play with our toys. Keeping it simple and fun!!
Just found this on my feed... now can't stop watching... I quit the hobby years ago... but watching this is getting me hyped up to give it another go... Great Job!
My Brother, I'm so happy that I ran into your channel and it nice to and very refreshing to see and here a intelligent Black Man in this hobby. At one time in the 70's & 80's I built and flow RC planes but being in the Navy for 21 years didn't give me time to get deeper in the the hobby. but now i just fly Drones and i try to give back to my community by teaching at risk kids to fly.
Happy and Safe flying. You got a new subscriber here.
Love it....the machine gun sounds whilst flying. All good men are really kids at heart!
These kits seem so easy these days. When I was young we had to use so many bulkheads and stringers epoxied and pinned to actually build the fuselage and wings. Now it seems so easy. Very tempting.
Great plane, excellent assembly and loved the way it performed and looked in the air.
Thank you sir
Seeing this fly gives me inspiration for my Hangar 9 P47 I've been building the past couple of years!!!! Keep up the great video's and flying!!
Well done, nice plane, nice build, nice video etc etc...
I used to fly radio controlled helicopters 40 years ago, after graduating high school and enlisting in the military and life since I haven't been anywhere near the RC hobbies but am very tempted to get back into it, watching these videos I'm amazed at how far all of this has come.
I'm looking forward to more of your videos for guidance and insight into getting back into the hobby.
Very nice and keep up the good work 👍👍👍.
“Just don’t crash your plane that I built!” Hahaha 😂
Fantastic Video!! Thank you for taking the time to produce it. I've been considering a Hangar 9 P-51 and this may push me over the edge. Look forward to more videos!
Hahah "I almost FW it" clasic mate 🤣
Super flying. Watched the build with interest. Great presentation all round! Soft landings, and Stay Safe!
I felt that knot in my stomach as it took off for the first time. Beautiful plane. Nice work
Outstanding video and channel! I've been working my way through your videos since stumbling upon them and they have been very entertaining. Your videos remind me of the hobby programs (generally model railroading but a bit of RC as well) that used to air on PBS when I was a kid. Informative and genuine - enthusiastic presentations showcasing model aviation. Thank you for creating and sharing such quality content.
the razorback is one of the most beautiful planes ever made i think! absolutely adore your channel, always cheers me up while im awake at 4am struggling to sleep, thank you sir.
Loved watching both part 1 and part 2. I would have been very nervous on that maiden flight (I always am anyway). I've never flown a GP aircraft, yet I have two of them out in my shed that I have yet to finish.
Loved your review, and I especially enjoyed your knowledge and thoughts on this build. Thank you for another great set of videos.
I wasn't the biggest fan of the p47, but after I flew mine it became one of my favorite planes to fly. Handles very well and good fun to fly.
Great landings! I've watched too many crash compilations so I'm nervous for anyone who goes to land
many thx, really like how you talk us thru your thoughts. good job!
Great job, really enjoyed the build and the maiden.
Enjoying the fun you’re having! Well deserved buddy.
Sounds great and looks even better! I love the Razorbacks they are one of my favorite warbirds to fly! Very nice assembly and review flight videos! Thanks !
Looks and sounds amazing! Your builds are inspiring. Please keep up the good work and great reviews.
Very cool 2 videos. Glad everything worked out great. It was cool to see it all come together.
I really have enjoyed watching your channel you have a real nack for this and some great workmanship.
Beautiful. Man you know what you're doing. Subscribed.
Terrific video, Sir. That took a ton of work, and it shows.
Congrats Fitz! Excellent job, as always!
Excellent pre-flight check!
Thank you very much for the post of this fanatical video with a lot of information. I like to look at your "posts" because I find the way of your presentation incredibly relaxed. No excessive fuss and shouting but very pleasant. By the way, you have a very nice voice and the models you choose are always up-to-date. Thank you for all this and I hope you will make many more videos.
Genuinely great videos. You are very good at explaining things and the camera work was brilliant. I shall subscribe. Thumbs up! 👍🏼
Man does that sound awesome in the air! Great video!! Excited to see more of your content, thanks!
Picture book landings ...very nice ..well done that man
I’ll be starting the build on this model this month with a satio fg21. Can’t wait. Great flying!
Got some amazing flying skills man, well done
Great video! It flew very well and im glad the aileron from the other video did pop out again.
P47 Razorback. My favorite warbird. Nice job!!
Always enjoy your informed videos, appreciate all you do 😁👍
Nice looking model and well flown too. Congratulations. Thanks for posting
Always loved the P-47, Nice revue, Cheers...
You're really good at this whole thing.
Pretty good maiden, all the parts were still in the correct place when you landed. I can't be sure, it's been a long time past when I assembled this ARF kit and it looks like some improvements have been made. They do fly well but the warbirds aren't my favorite.
The 47 and 38 are still my favorite warbirds though. I think I would enjoy assembling another one. Outstanding video by the way!!!!
Great job on the build and very impressive maiden.
Much gutsy-er than my maidens which are pretty tame but love that feeling going from trepidation to confidence to joy.
I love my P-47 Razorback and have over 50 flights on it without a scratch. Stay well and keep flying.

Really enjoyed your construction and flight videos ! Very well done. I have been looking at this plane and after your vids I believe I will be flying one of these this summer. Thank You and all the best ...
Really enjoyable to watch and listen to.
Nicely flown, and excellent video.
Merci pour pour la suite de la vidéo, très beau P-47 😉🇫🇷
I really enjoyed your two videos on this plane! it fly's super nice good job!
Great job, great plane.
My first gasser was a H-9, PT-19 with a G-23, great combo.
Beautiful plane!!! And great job building it...
Clean looking flight! The Maiden flight on my P-51 years ago ended very poorly. Never built another P-51 out of frustration! Lol
Great flight, you did a top job 👍🏻
good job guys and great flying skills!
That looks a very well mannered war bird!! Didn't seem to have any bad vices, great video👍 I like the relaxed way you present your videos!! Well done 😄
Great review and it shows the plane is designed pretty well. I hadn't seen one before and now I feel like I would know what I was getting in to if I did get one. Hysol 9462 is your friend and I trust it's ability better than epoxy - especially when each control surface connection only has a single G-10 arm instead of 2 in parallel with a Dubro ball link in between per surface. It doesn't run so you can also lay a small fillet around each arm for a little extra help. It's also a good idea to drill a few more small holes through the surface that goes inside the control surface to give it more 'rivet' like capture points inside the control surface. Don't be shy about slathering up the surface and filling the hole before install it. Use painters tape around the hole first so it captures the over flow and painless cleanup.
Very nice flying!
Great commentary on the maiden...top job
Great video, you made the build look easy also, thanks
Awesome, I enjoyed that ! always have wanted a larger Gas powered warbird !
Nice job on build and solo flight...hope you many more nice flights
Thanks for your video. I really enjoyed it! Great plane!
awesome model well done from the UK
What a beauty, I was a bit sceptical about the servos not being powerful enough but seems to do the job.
Nice plane. As a small engine mechanic, the burbling drove me nuts. I know its a new engine and probably set up a bit rich. I love the new 4 strokes. No mess of oil everywhere. I was suprised at how much weight it took to balance it but thats what it took then thats what it took. Its best to use more epoxy when gluing on those horns than not enough. Good thing you caught that!
Purely beautiful to see she fly nicely perfect! Great warbird. Fly high .keep'em flying!
Very cool man! Thank you for sharing this.
I've got a nice NOS gas motor I just might try out now that I got the bug after watching your nice video. Good job!
Great build and great flight sir

Nice maiden flight and kudos to you camera man. Great video!
Excellent flyer.
GOOD WORK MY FRIEND
Nice to see it flying.
Cool videos. I like the WW2 war birds to. I have a Corsair and a Spitfire. I put them together from kits. Assembling them is half the fun.
As a Canadian I dig the Avro Arrow behind you.👍🍁
Good performing airplane. Nice flying.
