Looks interesting. Really curious about the "colossal life forms detected" line from the ending. Earth already looks like a toxic wasteland, now they're adding giant monsters, too?
Can't wait for this to come out.
Here's the thing, my first knee jerk reaction was "why on earth is there aerial subnautica", but on further thought regarding how plausible this would be, it's actually a fair idea. Seeing as there's life (normal plants, not tundra vegetarion) at these altitudes, and seeing as the prospect of the surface being not fit for life would imply that all surface level plant life should be in pretty poor shape as well, thus implying oxygen amounts should not have increased drastically, one can probably safely presume the altitudes here to be low enough for the atmospheric pressure to be very livable. This would absolutely make it a fair place to try and live in, as breaches and stuff would only cause influx of pollutants, rather than causing rapid efflux of pressure as it would in higher altitudes or in space, or rapid increases in pressure and rushing in of water like under the sea. So based off the circumstances depicted, the idea is actually reasonable plausible.
The airship, however, is almost comical. I can maybe excuse the fact that this thing is literally a cube and yet somehow it flies, but I cannot agree to the fact that the game thinks that one singular engine on one side of a box makes it a stable and controllable flying vehicle. I'm hoping this is a beta feature which will receive major overhauls, cause if they made a little effort on that front and worked on making it feel a bit less like a direct subnautica derivative in the pda voice and behaviour I daresay this game could be pretty damn cool
That prologue is short and crisp, yet heavy. Four fantastic lines.
9:18 I absolutely LOVE that whoever was playing this, put a poster on the wall, and then gave a little nod like 'yup, thats good!'
This is very similar to soma, the ability to gather information about dead people, the post apocalyptic envoyronment, and the presence of a not yet encountered saboteur, all of those giving deja-vu's.
It feels like the ambience is missing something. Like heavy breathing or loud wind to demonstrate just how insanely high you are. Now that I think about it, it's also missing some kind of music. It's giving me real Raft/Subnautica vibes but the lack of any music just makes it uncomfortable, not in a good way either.
Yeah, however with wind the little moths flying by nonchalantly don't make much sense.
There is ambient music though, and it does it very well. Survival games shouldn't have music being blasted.
Ears. Do you have them
Hi Forever Skies dev here, there is music in this. Its just subtle to create the ambience.
I feel like you can’t hear it because of how subtle it is. And games and movies in general have in the passed amazingly incorporated a lack of wind or ambience in the environment. Signaling that there’s is no longer anything there. It is void of life of air.
Subnautica but for the stratosphere!
Looks awesome.
Exactly my thoughts
Skynautica :D
Reminds me a lot of subnautica with the gameplay and style I mean let's be real that's the same exact PDA voice but this definitely has a much darker tone interesting to see what a game like that can do leaning more into the horror vibe
Subnautica but above water.
Very strong SUBNAUTICA vibes, down to the scanner thing and overall UIX.
Fantastic! 👍🏻😊 Looks damn good.
Looks as if Earth is turning into a Venus atmosphere wise. 😲😳😱
Hey, love the new intro. Haven't watched your videos for a while.
the way he walks when he's not holding anything, his hands just at the edge of his vision. it makes sense if he's like running but when casually walking? in my head he's doing the theresa may walk everywhere.
Thank you for the upload! Interesting palette and style...
Ooh I've heard about this one this time. I'm excited
Subnautica vibes right here, and the full game will be a loooooong game, like, it'll take 8-10 hours. Loopy could be doing the longplay of this in the future.
Subnautica but flying
10 hours is "long" now? I've already spent 60 hours in Subnautica, and I played BotW for 220 hours before dropping it!
how do you keep finding these awesome games!? ...but still keep up the good work :)
@@TuriGamer im not surprise...what better way to show off your game then letting ABG showing it off
Yeah, it's a mixture of devs/publishers reaching out and me just searching for interesting games myself. In this case I was sent a preview build of the upcoming Beta. :)
@@AlphaBetaGamer same as Civvie i think 😅
@@MisterDraken7609 Nothing like him. 🤨
@@AlphaBetaGamer For good renumeration, I presume?
Did you ever imagine you'd be living this fantastic life?
i'm not even sad the little logo guy in the beginning got eaten by the many-eyed thing
i'm just sad cuz that marshmellow's gonna burn XD
(also i feel like a lot of these 'survival' games should include a 'sanity' meter. not if it gets too low you start seeing sh!t, but if it gets too low your character might want to just give up and let the wilderness kill them. that, and probably a stress meter)
(human beings are capable of so much stuff and able to endure so much hardship, but only if you have the mindset for it. drop someone who has no one to go back to and nothing to live for and they'll succumb quicker than if someone is 'fighting to get back to their family'. And stress is one of the largest things to manage in any survival situation. And I can imagine all sorts of awesome new situations that could spawn in a game like Subnautica.)
(You have to deal with your character's sudden phobia of deep water if he's ever going to survive. Or maybe after a horrible, barely survived jumpscare encounter with a creature of the deep, his stress will spike if he's back in that location or if he spots it in the wild. The opportunities are limitless XD)
That sounds awful
@@MumboJumboZXC yes
Yeah I've thought about this, would be interesting if done right. The Thing had fear/trust for teammates and that was fun/unique. Having to adjust/plan for your well-being like in Stalker Anomaly (in a sense) or other survival experiences work with this.
In a more casual experience it would probably be too much unless it just offered an alternate narrative, but in a more hardcore experience where sanity is dependent on player choice I'd like to see it. For example if you choose to kill without reason or opt for cruelty over diplomacy/avoidance your character would begin to unravel, hallucinate, what they say to themselves would change, certain dialogue would be locked out or introduced etc.
I love your new intro :)
Nice thumbnail tho
This should be an wallpaper of it :)
One glaring irritation: the players hands which appear when he/she is simply moving without carrying anything or reaching forward.
We do NOT see our hands when just walking.....they hang loosely down each side. Try it and you'll see what I mean.
When you're thousands of feet up with a toxic bog wasteland below you, you keep your hands ready at all times.
Reminds me so much of Subnautica and looks great.
That pun at the end was great😂
Subnautica and Dying Light vibes!
It somehow feels like RAFT. Apocalyptic mood, salvaging, steering. Anyway, it's good.
So this is basically that Build-your-vehicle Angry Birds spinoff with Pigs that takes itself seriously.
I'm surprised the monster didn't eat ya for that horrible pun! :)
I seem to remember something about this coming out on the oculus quest. Is that correct?
Oh boy, another "Fallout" game to spend millions of hours building and flying hobo airships, drinking dirty water and radiated food on my first play-through then never again on all future trips to post-apocalyptia, going OCD/kleptomaniac, and making my radiation suit look like Buck Rogers. I hope they make this game MASSIVE! Can't wait! XD
This game could use a soundtrack. That being said, it looks quite nice.
Interesting concept. Audio needs tweaking. Ambience & overall balancing was...odd. Will be keeping an eye on this
LOL @ that outro!
Supernautica! Very interesting.
Well that was a slow burn.
Please keep doing things like that during the outro. It was bad, but still made me laugh.
Game looks really good. Really curious as to whats going on for sure.
Was that Corey Cruise voicing the intro thingy
This can't be good for me but I feel great
Desert Skies got green.
This looks like it was made by the same people who created subnautica
👍✌
Is this game made by Sabnautica dudes? Im getting the vibes.
Last skies.
So they be making this for real?
it seems so
Yup! They're releasing a Beta soon too. You can sign up for it (link's in the description).
Yeah! yo!

It’s rare to see an indie game that actually looks like a new AAA game and not a game for ps1 these days.
not really. 3 videos uploaded before this one on this channel are indie games with realistic graphics. I’d say indie games with stylized graphics are more rare
Has promise.
Is this some Subnautica mod ?
Abovenautica
tell me there's weapons, don't you fucking tease me with these graphics and tell me there's no weapons
Looks like Tower of Fantasy but Super Extreme FPS Hard Mode.
The map looks like Asperia Tower of Fantasy already
Looks incredible! Biggest gripe I have right now is seeing the character’s hands pop into frame while walking empty-handed.
Umm... Toxicnautica? Or Skynautica.
First skies.
This game looks amazing. Please tell me that it's going to be on consoles...
It never will be. It's just sad to see people waste money on no-games living room toy boxes this day and age.
@@GugureSux it’s not that deep lol
What an odd game. Apocalypse subnautica?
Oh hey, another Subnautica clone. At least it looks... decent! I think I'll get myself a copy when it comes out.
dear youtube...you cannot just go around removing my video 'when i sacrificed' because its terrible quality claiming its "a scam"...[yes you can]
this world ended centuries ago? And those buildings are still standing? Woo!
But i guess having a game with a 'apocalyptic' feel with piles of rubble covered in moss, dirt and sand would be boring.
First
It is insane to see that among the garbage of triple A titles games likes this still pop-up.
Looks bland. Gameplay isn't there, writing isn't there, audio isn't there. Feels like this is one of those games you come up with overnight but then don't really expand upon it further, only fully implemented for some alien reason. Must admit to grinning at the first note too: "hmm we dead. But if there happens to be a hero about for some reason, Noah is OVER THERE! He's important to the plot!". Just A+ writing
Absolutely sick and tired of survival games
Crap game
