few month earlier i came for asmr ...but u videos inspired me to learn more about this fantastic game. im 51 years old , early retired. than i start learning more than i knew. now i have so much fun to play chess. i know im little bit to old to get very good. but i wiil get so good to have more fun. u accidently put a new part to my life.

last year if i'm not mistaken there was similar type of sacrifice in some aleksandr predke's game, also for dark squared bishop, but in king's indian as white. he just completly positionally destroyed his opponent, playing like 30 moves without this piece, but having incredible pressure.

at 10:25, why can't Qd8 be played to defend f6? After Nxf6 Rxf6 Bxf6+ Qxf6 Rxf6 Kxf6, or even with Bxf6 first, the material is equal and the position could end in a draw. White's minor pieces are more developed but black's king is active for the endgame.

At 12:50 if the king captures the knight couldn't they block checkmate with the bishop?
Rxf7+ would follow instead of Rh3+, leading to a very strong attack from white, possibly lining up a discovered attack to pick up the queen after Kf8 Bxe6 or getting a strong attack after Kh6 with Bg7+ Kh5 Bxe6

So why exactly did chernikov decide that sac'ing his knight for a check before recapturing was the best idea? It practically makes the material even.
15:40 - they are literally even on material. White has 2 bishops, a knight, and a rook, for a queen and a rook. They are even on pawns.
Assuming that is, white captures the rook with the pawn, and black recaptures with his pawn, and Bishop takes that pawn.
