If he's in California (looks like he is-might be Florida) he really is just begging for charges. The bar for assault charges in California is _super_ low, you don't need to actually hurt someone-not even close-all you need to do is make physical contact.

For what it's worth, it doesn't really matter if he's in California at all. The general definition for criminal battery pretty much anywhere in the US is (1) intentionally (2) making harmful or offensive contact with another person (3) without that person's consent. That's why something like spitting on someone would open you up to charges, it's unlikely that you would hurt them but the ordinary person would consider that offensive.
@@iambisone Battery and assault are completely separate charges. Battery being the more serious charge. Assault is merely the _attempt,_ alongside the ability, to commit physical harm-while battery is _the actual act_ of using force/violence.

@bad grammar THANK YOU! I’ve been saying that the Karen meme is pretty sexist for a while now. I understand it’s origins and whatnot but you’re right it’s just made it easier for folks to dismiss a woman’s legit concerns at this point
bad grammer that comes from people not knowing what words mean. It was (like Susan and Becky or tim and Todd for men) supposed to mean a specific yt woman who uses fragility as a weapon to harass poc and poor people and usually when they instigated a fight in the first place. It was never supposed to just mean an angry woman. Kind of why I wish people would stop appropriating words they barely know the meaning of like “woke” or “cancel.”
