About Cole & Charisma:
Welcome to the official Roll with Cole & Charisma CZcams channel! Since the start of our relationship we've gotten a lot of questions about our experiences as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. My parents kept in touch with the person who bought my grandma's house after she passed away last year. He's been renovating it and actually let us walk through! It's so insane to see what he's done, and I am very grateful that he's allowed us to be a part of the renovation. He doesn't have to, since he owns the home now, but he has kept us updated the entire time and that is amazing!
While I will congratulate you, too, you seem like a lovely couple, and I have been watching in the background for years, now I must say when you're bragging to people and saying that you bought a house when 90% of Americans out there can barely afford rent that is in terrible taste. I'm a Canadian, and our mortgage prices are higher here with our renting. Prices for most apartments that are one-bedroom are around $2,500.

It would be weird to congratulate me for my parents selling my deceased grandma's home.. it's not something I'd like to be celebrating since her passing away has been unbelievably hard for me to deal with.

Here are some tips that helped me.
1. Plan towards it
2. Be frugal and minimal on spending (don't buywhy you don't need )
3. Save money towards retirement (Roth IRA/401k)
4. Build an emergency fund
5. Save to invest, this is the most important because it's a proven way to get richer. Very important to financial success.

Congratulations Cole and Charisma! In doing our bathroom remodel (for my multiple sclerosis) we made our tub/shower combo into a roll in shower with a flip down wall mounted bench. There are no towel bars. There are strategically placed grab bars throughout. We hang our towels on the grab bars. I also encourage you to put in a communications system so if help is needed it can be summoned from the shower. Enjoy your new freedom of California home ownership! Welcome to snow and rain and sand and palm trees! The land of opportunity!❤

Yes, raise all the floors and if you’re going to put a new roof in have them to check to see if you have room to raise your ceilings. Sometimes there is additional space beyond the drywall in the ceiling. Congratulations!

My husband was a foreman for a roofing company for 25 years. You can go over a roof, but today many times the shingle company will not warranty the roof if you have not torn off the previous roof. Be sure to check that out! So happy for you two, this is so exciting!!

Make sure to grill your inspector on everything!! We bought a condo and ended up paying about $30,000 dollars extra on repairs we thought either were not there or would be a lot less!
