Trunks telling Buu to wait there for fusion is an amazing attention to detail. I do find it weird Buutenks ult isn’t the Galactic donuts into a Kamehameha, with a rush super attack, especially when they treated Teen Gohan SSJ so right

One thing I really love that they did and have mentioned is that they adjusted the mouth flaps to match what they’re saying in English. A nice touch among everything else they’ve done.

Yo fellas. I've been playing DBZ Budokai since Budokai 1 was released. Once Budakai Tenkachi 1 came out, it completely revolutionized the game. Let's say, Bandai Namco took the time and effort they put into Elden Ring. We might just get the ultimate evolution of DBZ games. It will go something like this and bare with me I know how impossible this sounds. I'm dying of RCC Kidney and Lung Cancer. Will be able to play this game but for future generations. If anyone can ever get this to Bandai Namaco. Pitch this as the perfect DBZ game to ever exist.
It will first need an online World Tornament mode w/ Earth DB/Z era, Cell Games, UN7 vs UN6 Nameless Planet and Tournament of Power stages. Just like Fall Guys each contestant is usered by random online players (also play with friends). AI bots are only replaced when players leave early. If you lose you're eliminated but you can stay to spectate till the end. Once a specific Character is picked all versions of that Character are locked. Also each Stage has the characters that were not yet available at the time locked. That way we only get actual possible " what if " matchups. We also need 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 online game modes with ALL MAPS AVAILABLE. 4v4's can either be an all out battle everyone fighting at once or you can choose turn based. So 1 at a time and the other players characters are spectating IN game until their teammate loses. A lot how they do in the show especially the Cell Games waiting turns. Order is chosen by teams before the match begins. We also need more than just repeated characters. It needs to match and or surpass Budokai Tenkachi's 3's roster. In both different characters and their versions as well. Finally a true Story Mode. True to the original game but this time with a Kakarot like open world just done much better. World to world traveling in space without loading screens. Any character available to play as but only once story mode is completed. Game doesn't even need to load in order to get into fights. Fights take place open world and can be taken anywhere. Dragon Balls have to mean something and should be needed to progress the story to make the same wishes made in the show. It will be like watching the anime but also playing Budokai Tenkachi 4. Trust me when I say, I know how unrealistic this is. Thing is Bandai Namco if you really wanted to. Speak to somebody like Rockstar or better yet work with Rockstar. Make it happen somehow and sell each game for $200 a pop. Unreal Engine 6 and throw in a turn off HUD completely or have it like RDR2 where Dpad has it pop up then shortly dissappear. You'll have game of the year and you'll make millions. Keep it alive with constant updates and DLC the characters fine even gouge us there. Also all the future Super yet to come can also be DLC. Just give future generations and Akira Toriyama the DBZ game they deserve. 🫶 you all can't wait to play this game

Overall this teen Gohan is one of the weaker interpretations imo- the model, animations, and aura feel lacking compared to the other games like BT3 or FighterZ. But man they cooked with Ultimate Gohan

Bro, Perfect Cell's VA really went all out with this one. He sounds so fucking cynical I love it.
Again I really hope they improve just a little on the size of the beams. There are a lot of them that don’t look as powerful as they really are for example that final kamehameha or even Cell’s solar kamehameha.
Some of the beams are a little bit bigger than the other demo build or probably it's bigger when the character is stronger because it's a unbalanced game 😅
Exactly that makes all the beams look so off. Vegito is doing a final Kamehameha and it looks thinner than Goten's Kamekameha. Plus where are the final flash rings that make it the final Kamehameha, all the beams look too thin even the ultimate ones.

one small critique i have is i think gohan's ssj2 transformation should be swapped where the red flash happens first then he rages. But man does this game look great and so far pretty faithful to the source material where maybe this sets a precedent for other anime games.

One thing I noticed is that in the old games when you do an in game fusion it used to heal you and then give you a ton of extra health. Maybe it just combined the characters health bars or something, but in this you just keep the same amount of health that you had before the fusion. Don’t know how I feel about that. Maybe it’s for a balancing thing this time around.
Edit: also I wish the beams were thicker. I remember in the old games you have some skinny beams but then some were really thick and I liked that variety, every beam in this game looks as thick as a pencil but this isn’t really a complaint it’s just another nitpick.

It's true, they do a good job at differentiating the same move done by different characters, but some of the variations aren't great.
I do think some of the characters being less muscular than their animated counterparts is kind of distracting, but on youth Gohan I much prefer his look here. The kid is 11 and it’s much more natural that his musculature looks the way it does in this game. Although, his rush move he does should have more impact and look angrier since it’s the move he uses on the jr’s

But keep in mind that Gohan is supposed to have a growth spurt after spending one year training in the time chamber. His model looking like a toddler with less muscle kinda makes no sense

god i love the way that gogeta and vegito have slightly different voice layering so you can see which has the dominant personality in the fusion; with vegito being vegeta dominant, and gogeta being goku dominant. With gogeta having vegeta talking slightly calmer; and goku in vegito sounding somewhat posh like vegeta does.
That SSJ2 Gohan does look a little funny 😂

Small detail I've noticed. Not sure if anyone else has pointed this out, but whenever characters talk It's actually synced up with the DUB voices. Just something I haven't seen in previous titles.
Goten most likely just isn't finished being made yet based on his lack of detail, but he was in a playable state, so they still kept him in the build.

Obviously they still aren’t perfect, but I feel that this new version where it slows down and zooms in every time the camera passes by each character is much better compared to the nauseating earlier versions.
It also looks like the camera rotates on a single axis now which fixes some of the problems we had with it

At around 15:00 Nano, when you're talking about how Gohan should have reverted back to base and did his iconic thumbs up or panting on his back. They are kinda doing this, so it's hope. Both SSJ (Mid) Goku's Angry Kamehameha & SSJ3 Goku's Dragon Fist have their respective finish poses. (Goku's disappointed / sad face and Goku's smile when he beats Hiru with Dragon Fist)

Some of these characters models look a little off and could have a good bit more detail but I trust them to polish them up before launch.

I don't know what other people have said, but as a young Gohan main I think he looks great. If you ever look at DBFZ from alternate camera angles, you can see how much the 3D models are exaggerated to achieve many anime style effects. They've done a great job here of making the 3D look great and using snappy transitions for the cool moments.
You gotta remember that you'll see these animations many times, so I think it's great that all the iconic moments are done with just enough time to let the impact frames hit and then it moves on. Some moves in the previous games took forever.
Also, that track for intro on SSJ2 Gohan vs %100 Cell was perfect. I'm so hype

Yea ppl are reasonably complaining because DBFz had the super clean rare dramatic finishes. This game being more about fully rendered environments and years after DBFZ you’d think they’d make the cut scenes next level.
They are fine though I don’t expect this to be better than Fighterz

Dude...wow. This is not just Tenkaichi 4. This is Raging Blast 3. This is taking quality of life from Xenoverse, with the specials menu to make combat more seamless. The sense of scale like Kakarot. This is lookin more and more like it's gonna be THE definitive Dragon Ball game of all time
I agree with you on all the Kamehamehas; they had no choice but to give it to so many characters because it's accurate to the show, but they did an amazing job making them as unique as possible with effects, expressions, and creative camera movement
My one and only complaint so far is that ultimate beam finishes don't vaporize the enemy and make their model disappear instead of showing them get blown back and smack against the wall and ground, otherwise it's perfect!
One detail I like they added is that when your character is charging up their key and about to go into full power mode the aura intensifies

I must say: I don't like, that the game resets your position after hitting with a beam ultimate like vegitos Kamehameha. On top, for me the beam attacks are still too small. They don't look much powerful, of course not any beam attack have to be like that, but at least a few of them should. Don't mean this as hate, i'm really hyped to play this game too!

i think the dance fusion should take an input so you can mess it up and get a failed fusion for like 30 seconds. i think its also fine with them just saying wait for us to fuse because a lot of dragon ball villains are like that. but there are some that would not wait, like for example namek vegeta lmao
