@@JorisHermans I’m in Scotland, so the sun can be so rare to see here that when it does come out we all go crazy and just want to rush out into it, sit and relax and have a cool beer… heck, maybe now I can integrate using the camera as well! I've been looking for a solar filter for the eclipse and this one seems to fit the picture!
A very well put together and interesting test Joris! Most of my filters are from K&F because they are one of the best value for money. It's especially good that the colours are not shifted as much as other similar class counterparts. Very useful if you want to capture the sun or an eclipse. Amazing filters and interesting Idea! I didn't know there were 2 ND filters that were so black. Probably with a 1000mm lens on a APS-C camera and maybe also a CPL you could get a better photo of the sun! Happy to see another giveaway of you about filters again for your comunity. I would be interested to see what kind of dreamy long exposures these filters could create when used like regular ND's. Like wild cityscapes that are so long exposed that they seem empty. Fantastic. I live in the path of total eclipse in Toronto. I remember in 1965 as a kid, there was an eclipse but it was so cloudy there wasn't much to see. This will be the last in my lifetime. I just got a new G9ii and would love to capture this .Thanks

Thanks for the clarification on the warning. No one that I've come across yet has been clear on what kind of viewfinder it applies to. I'd be curious to see what teleconverters you use to make that lens a 1000mm. Hope your solar eclipse shots come out great.🌘

I'm new here, so thanks for posting this! Subbed! I was just looking at the K&F 67mm this evening for my Sony a6300 and Tamron 70-300 FF lens. I can get 450mm on apsc and 2x digital zoom at 900mm. It's worked great for moon photos and video.

Would be sweet to have. But the "budget" 500mm optics, would you recommend it?
All depends on your standard of course. I think it's a very decent lens. One thing, though. Because it's a fixed focal length and such a long one, it's difficult sometimes to find your subject. Being able to zoom out first makes it a lot easier to find the subject.
Been watching for a while, but I think the most amazing thing I learned was that there’s a 500mm lens for less than the GDP of earth
