Mikey was my guitar teacher when I was 15. I remember when he bought this guitar. And even got to play it a could of times. So glad to see it got revived.
This is my dream guitar. White Falcon is a piece of art.

Wow, this is basically what I would make myself for a custom Gretsch. Dude hit the nail on the head.
All of my life I always wanted a Gretsch guitar because I like to listen to Chet Atkins. Finally,in my late 40's I can afford one. I just bought the 5410T and love it. I took a picture of it and taped it to the dash of my truck. I like to bring it to the living room and just stare at it. Sometimes when I'm holding it I end up with my nose in the F-holes just smelling it. Now I just have to learn how to play the damn thing. Hope I'm not too old.
Never too old. I'm 60 & am just learning to play guitar!! I've just bought a G5655TG in Cadillac Green.
Have not heard of this gentleman before but after watching he definitely is deserving of his own model.

This was awesome! I’ve been a fan of Hillsong United for a long time, but they almost never film him or interview him so it was nice to get to know him a little bit.
Love the White Falcon sound on the Of Dirt and Grace album. I like all of Michael's work with Hillsong, but that sound particularly is one of my favorite Gretsch sounds of all time.

Finally. I remember listening to the early albums of United and hearing that sound.. saw United live more than I can count, and every time he pulled the falcon out I would say “that guitar was made for this man.”… and I was right. Congrats, Michael!

Gretsch just gave the next signature model to the right guy. Maybe it's a sub-section that listen to Praise and Worship's Hillsong/Hillsong United, but they're the reason for modern P&W genre, and maybe some people haven't listened to it, but in the last 20 years, everyone knows there was the P&W explosion on the guitar scene. And my first electric guitar was a Gretsch hollowbody.
Pretty much hillsong & hillsong united made the grestch sound popular for praise & worship music. Theyre not as bold as gibson in sound & not as iconic as a fender in sound. Mgc & nigel hendroff took grestch's sound n they made it a go to for alot of modern p&w music
Later Jesus Culture solidified the presence of Gretsch in North American church music and now Chris Rocha is expanding the G-tone into Latin American churches

What a stunning guitar! Imagine being able to just call up Gretsch and get them to design a guitar for you! That's a level of luxury that for me would be far more exciting than buying a new car.

Beautiful guitar! Gretsch is easily my favorite brand for electrics. I would love someday to have a custom built -- but, then, I don't think it could surpass my 2006 Dyna-equpped Country Club. You can't beat perfection!

From what iv le heard comparin his news songs and the old ones, the 90s falcon sounded more warm body idk how to described and i fkng love that tone, this new ones arent the same but they are big open and even and charmy belly enough. Wich i like that, but idk i wish they could nail the same tone

How is a White Falcon superior to a Nashville?
They aren’t really, just different aesthetics plus a larger body (17” wide vs 16” wide - actually 15.75”) and matching longer scale length (25.5” vs 24.6”). It’s personal choice and a matter of how bold you are: some 6120s/Nashvilles are relatively discreet but there are no unnoticeable Falcons. Some prefer the 6120/ Nashville’s slightly more compact size but others go big and brash with the Falcon. In reality you can’t go wrong with either, but I thought you could so I’ve ended up with a 6120-55 (and a 6121-55) a Brian Setzer Nashville and a White Falcon double-cut.

@@Walks-With-Pride thanks! Sounds like you’ve had a great Gretsch collection. I also had a players edition Anniversary for a while but swapped it (plus a Tele and an SG) for the 6120-55. I’d love to have a Penguin!
Nifty looking guitar, although I would prefer Billy Duffy’s (The Cult) signature White Falcon, it’s the same price and Billy Duffy is a guitar god, while apparently Chislett plays for god (apologies, never heard of Chislett, so relying on Google). Gretsch or it’s retailers, engaging in the same profiteering as most corporations, bumped the price in the last year from ~ $3500 to $4100, still, Father’s Day is around the corner, and there’s always my birthday, were anybody so inclined…
