Jai Sri Hari 💛 Translation below:
    (1/n) 0:10 - 6:14
Let me tell that which can be done in the least required time.
Devotee - Please tell us something on Meditation please.
Audience/Devotee - How can we be in meditative state.
Swami ji - How can we be in Meditative state? What a beautiful Question! Everybody is trying to do meditation.
Audience/Devotee- But we are not able to meditate.
Swami ji - but when you stop making an effort to meditate then meditation happens.
Just today morning I was conversing with somebody... That think of mind (Manas) as a small child.
If you really want to meditate then think of mind as a child, if the child is angry/happy /sleeping / awake/ you can't prod/nudge the child (i.e. your mind) all the time. It is not possible to keep the mind enchained all the time.
But when the very existence of the mind is perished/finished only then one comes up on meditative state. Because the Only thing that shackling a Human is his mind and nothing else.
But when person go by his mind, he likes to do meditation as his mind projects meditation.
Rainbow has seven color in it. If you see a colour-wheel with seven color. When it rotates it shows White colour.
When the momentum of the wheel stops then you see it's seven colour.
Until the mind has existence one can't apprehend the mind.
When you begin to try and meditate.. Do you come to know that the mind doesn't stop it's chattering.
You come to know of it's chattering when you want to sleep in peace.
    *yogi yunjita satatam*
    *atmanam rahasi sthitah*
    *ekaki yata-cittatma*
    *nirasir aparigrahah* (Ch6v10)
    Meaning -
A transcendentalist should always try to concentrate his mind on the Supreme Self; he should live alone in a secluded place and should always carefully control his mind. He should be free from desires and feelings of possessiveness.
One thing is to just spectate another is to participate.
If you merely seek knowledge on the How to Meditate then there are many texts and literature on Meditation. I am not needed in that case.
But if you want to practice meditation then I can guide you.
But ultimately you have to meditate yourself.
I can not meditate for you.
Gautam Buddha had said.. "I have given you the knowledge my Spiritual Sons now your salvation is dependant on you not me.
    *yogi yunjita satatam*
    *atmanam rahasi sthitah* (Ch6v10)
The one who stays with his source(soul)
    *एकाकी यतचित्तात्मा निराशीरपरिग्रहः॥*
    *ekaki yata-cittatma nirasir aparigrahah*
The one who can rejoice in solitude - Only two types of people can stay in solitude, a yogi or ever lazy.
Because in Solitude mind incessantly nudges a person.
It pushes you to mingle, let's go and talk to someone. Let's hear a bird chirping.
But slowly slowly slowly slowly Slowly slowly slowly... Very slowly
*Shaney shaney uprametdbhudhi* *dhritigritaya atmasanstham* *manah kritva na kinchit api* *chintayet* (Ch6v25)
    Meaning-
(Gradually, step by step, with full conviction, one should become situated in trance by means of intelligence, and thus the mind should be fixed on the Self alone and should think of nothing else.)
If one thinks that if they starts to meditate today they will attain that meditative state within 5 days.
    That's foolishness.
If you think today I will start to meditate and in 15-20 days I will attain meditative state then you are being foolish!
Is it easy to break free of one's afflictions / deep imprints on the psyche?
The hardest path to self realisation is that of Meditation.
Because you need to break free of all those impression on your psyche that you have collected for million and million of years.
You are going against all that.
Rowing against the water current is difficult but to row with the current is easy.
So the most easiest way, if you can surrender yourself to someone only then, it is Bhakti + Meditation.
Until you can't concentrate, your God will not manifest.
If God does manifest it would be momentary.
That's the bare minimum if you ask me.
Whether you agree or disagree, only a Guru can tell you the method of meditation.
Either be so strong that become your own master. Or surrender so completely and become totally Theirs.
Treading a middle way won't take you anywhere.
    *samam kaya-siro-grivam*
    *dharayann acalam sthirah*
    *sampreksya nasikagram svam*
    *disas canavalokayan* (Ch6v13-14)

    Meaning -
(One should hold one's body, neck and head erect in a straight line and stare steadily at the tip of the nose.)
Bhagwaan says (in Gita) " Sit straight like this Arjuna, your body, head and neck should be in straight line. And settle your concentration and focus at the tip of the nose or see above (between your brows)
    *svam disas canavalokayan* (Ch5v13-14)
Don't observe in any other direction.
You tell me how long can you sit with your body head and neck straight?

      (2/n)
      6:16 - 15:55
I did sadhana/practice for 20 years, tried everything but no self realisation happened. Then I thought now I would do Sadhana alone. Can’t multitask like that. Doing daily chores and sadhana side by!
I can attend to one thing at a time.
Then I left (for penance/sadhana). Spent sometime at Guru’s place where I felt I won’t be able to do sadhana. Because penance/sadhana always happens in solitude.
      Even yesterday I said...
*Two journey are always done alone - Of Death and Of Self-Realisation.*
If you have company that’s not that journey.
Does a Lion walk in a herd ever?
Then I left the place of the Guru.
And by the grace of the God we are today sitting where I came first (Badrinath). I located a cave on the top and sat there for Sadhana.
I said.. Maa (Mother Divine)... I will call your name 10 lakh times, I won’t move from here. If even for once my cry for you is true then please come down.
Neither Mother Divine came nor Lord Narayan or any God came.
We are always taught that fault lies with us, we (Humans) are not worthy of God. If we are not worthy of God then why we are made.
Does fault lies only with us & not God?
Then I decided to move out of that cave as people had started to come to, pay visit. Then I left for the Forest carrying my satchel.
Don’t know how but favourable situation was created.
That place comprised a small hut with four planks joined to make a broken hut! There I took an oath - Till the time my God appears in front of me I won’t move an inch from this place!
I had already hurt my Mother, had left home and come. So, anyway I had hurt her.
If a Doctor opens up patient’s body and say shall I operate fully or partially? Obviously you would say operate completely.
Now that I have started to tread the path of Self realisation it’s better to complete the journey.
So the *fundamental to meditation is firm resolve.* Without resolve meditation can’t happen.
In the Face of hailstorm or absence of food... In the absence of cloth.....
Or in the presence of rats snakes lion or bear or any wild animals.....
Whatever happens I am not going to move from here!
What’s the maximum that can happen?
You (nature) would take away my body... Take it! What else is there anyway to take.. I am not my body’s servant to carry the load of it.
So Meditation fundamental is resolve and Firmness. I said I won’t move.
I sat day and night and did penance/practice/sadhana. I started to experience deep non-dualistic meditative state (samadhi). I didn’t settle for it. I started to acquire clairvoyance in Badrinath i.e. siddhi but I didn’t settle for it. I had God vision during the night. I didn’t settle for Night time Vision.
As and when I used to get vision I did not accept it.
I am saying if you ( Mother Divine) are The Truth then why don’t you come during the Day? I am calling out to you in the Day, Night, morning, evening..
You are visiting me at night. Am I a fool sitting here? If you Power/ universal Dominion is real then come during the day. You won’t depend on Light or Darkness!
      So I resolved I won’t move.
So I would sit at night 2 a.m. and conclude next morning at 12 noon. I would take my meal between 12 noon to 1 p.m.
After that I would resume my sadhana.
When I used to take out 17-18 hours. I used to feel... What? Just 17-18-19-20 hours for the Lord? Where did the 4 hours go?
As a result I started sitting at 9 p.m. instead of 2 a.m. 5 hours in advance. I would sleep from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. My sleep went away.
I started to sit at 7 p.m. instead!
One is tested in many ways but the third pillar of Meditation is yearning/restlessness.
The state where you are not desiring or yearning for anything is the ultimate state of meditation. That state is the outcome of the practicing meditation.
It is not like you go in deep sleep and are unaware of anything! Instead meditation is absolutely opposite to this.
      In meditation you go crazy.
      It referred as craze state!
      Ask me!
One can hear spider moving on the wall. One gets to know If someone clicks a pic far away. You get to know if someone walk past by. If an earthworm crawls you get to know.
      Super-consciousness! Super-consciousness is a state.
So trying to meditate and being in meditation is not an easy thing.
But the one who is ready for this path. There is no better way (of self-realisation.
In Bhakti, you need someone else. In Meditation you do not need someone else.
      One is enough in meditation.
      *yogo yogavidamneta pradhanapurusheshvaraha |*
      (Vishnu Sahasranaam - 3)
      “Who is Meditation in Himself.”
If you have awareness of two/duality your awareness of body will come anyways. When you think yourself and the God are different then it becomes two from one. Now it can be anything body, God, consciousness (chit) , mind (manas), intellect (buddhi) or ego (ahmakar) it can be anything!
In meditation the most important thing is to bring the thought that you have decided upon repeatedly in your mind.
This is meditation and nothing else.
Just like when two woods when rubbed on each other ignite fire. The same fire eats up the wood.
So little bit of smartness, little bit of intelligence, little bit of resolve, bit of firmness little and little bit of detachment. If you go along with these elements, these are the woods that would create friction.
And when you come upon that meditative state, the fire, it would destroy all these elements. Because these are not collected by you.
Who told you about Sri Hari Bhagwaan existence *?*
Who told you about the presence of God in Badrinath *?*
Who told you what is written in a particular religion *?*
Who told you about the existence and His power *?*
You have collected it from the other!
Samadhi/Meditation is that state when nothing of the other remains.
*Ekam Brahm, dvitiya naste* (Brahma Sutra)
      God is only One.
Today Vyas ji was saying ( during katha time; Link to Katha czcams.com/play/PLr1IjOKSXurRO8kBO4E2hR2fjOp8o6Rk-.html ) what does it really mean?
Who does not know if God exist or not! Who does not know that Kama (desire/lust), Krodha (anger), Lobh (greed) and Moha(attachment) are not good for us?

    • @tanvis4641

      (3/n) 15:58 - 27:01
But do you keep away from these afflictions knowing that they are not good for you?
What is the difference between a Yogi (renunciate/practitioner of meditation) and a Bhogi (worldly enjoyer)
The attractions/enjoyments of the world actually consumes the Bhogi (worldly enjoyer) he is not consuming various enjoyments.
Attractions consumes the (bhogi) worldy enjoyer!
If a worldly enjoyer (bhogi) wants tea. He needs it at that instant else he will become restless without the tea. He is not consuming tea. Tea is consuming him. If he is hungry he needs food at that very instant.
When I was doing practice/penance/ sadhana I used to pick ice from the rooftop of the hut. Eat it and resume my sadhana. The process of body should continue but once you have to finish yourself (Ego) unless you finish the old how can the new sprout?
But what does a Yogi do?
*apuryamanam acala-pratistham* *samudram apah pravisanti yadvat*
*tadvat kama yam pravisanti sarve sa* *santim apnoti na kama-kami* (Ch2v70)
      Meaning -
A person who is not disturbed by the incessant flow of desires-that enter like rivers into the ocean which is ever being filled but is always still-can alone achieve peace, and not the man who strives to satisfy such desires.
Arjun the Yogi is such that even if all his afflictions are perished He/She still remain firm like an Ocean. Many river merge in the ocean that does not increase it's boundaries!
This does not mean that you do not live in the world or leave all enjoyment of the world. But you should know when the enjoyment of the world is consuming you and when You are consuming the pleasures of the world.
The day you start to consume the enjoyments of life you will be a Yogi. Irrespective of practicing Yoga, you would be a Yogi.
Till the time worldly enjoyments are consuming you, you are still a Bhogi. If one is Bhogi naturally he is also diseased. Then how can he be Yogi? Not possible.
At one given time two things can't happen. Same person can be two things. But he can't be two things at the same time.
So the Fundamental of Meditation is just this. Reaching the meditative state (samadhi) is it's outcome.
Samadhi is not that we sit straight and that's it we reach the pinnacle!
That's a big fallacy in the world. It is results of listening Discourses and reading Spiritual text.
When I was young(as in young body). Someone told me Ramakrishna Paramhans used to like pakoda (fried snacks) very much. I was a kid I said alright...they said if he wouldn't eat pakodas he would start flying in the air. I took it to be true. If an elder is speaking he must be speaking the truth. That's what we assume, from where else shall we gain the knowledge then? For many years I used to think that in Samadhi one starts to fly and probably one needs to eat pakoda so you can come back to earth again.
*yada te moha-kalilam buddhir* *vyatitarisyati tada gantasi nirvedam*

      Meaning-
(When your intelligence has passed out of the dense forest of delusion, you shall become indifferent to all that has been heard and all that is to be heard.)
Oh Arjuna you mind is distorted!
*srutivipratipannaa te yadaa sthaasyati nischalaa* (ch2v53)
      Meaning-
(When your mind is no longer disturbed by the flowery language of the Vedas, and when it remains fixed in the trance of self-realization, then you will have attained the Divine consciousness. )
Because your have read listened and learned too much.
      *asocyan anvasocas tvam*
      *prajna-vadams ca bhasase*
      *gatasun agatasums ca*
      *nanusocanti panditah* (ch2v11)
(Sri Bhagwaan said) Are you trying to talk like an intellect in front of me? Tell me what is the source of your knowledge? Where did you collect this knowledge?
If around thousand kids are left on another planet who are very small without prior knowledge on anything and left with supplies and manage to survive. Then you tell me what will they consider God as?
      *What will they call him?*
      Waheguru? Allah? Rahim? Krishna? Ram?
      What will they call?
If nothing is taught to you what will you understand? Tell me that? And that is Meditation. That is Samadhi. It has been filled in your mind. It was filled in my mind too. Whichever book I referred I consider them to be true.
Sadly those seekers who didn't attain self realisation wrote such book. And the reader thinks I would sit straight like this and instantly I would experience samadhi (meditative state) and transcends in some other world.
If you want to reach somewhere you do not need samadhi for that. There is a small process of breath. One can master it in 6 months. I can teach anyone. You come out of your body and can see the whole world.
I have done that process.. In the day/night/under the sun/morning/evening/in rain & in ice.
Because I have only one measure for every thing. We talk about freedom. That truth is not dependent on anything.
      Truth is independent.
If my experience is dependent on something then I do not need that experience. What will you do with such an experience and God (which is dependent on something)
Living in freedom is the peak of meditation. Which is called (one who resides in meditative state) samadhist.
      *sthita-prajnasya ka bhasa samadhi-*
*sthasya kesava sthita-dhih kim* *prabhaseta kim asita vrajeta kim.* (ch2v54)
In the whole of the Bhagwad Gita nowhere it is said that sit like this and the one who sits like this is Samadhist.
This (sitting straight in meditative posture) is just a medium to meditate.
You work hard and strive give exam. And become what you desire..an IAS/PCS/Doctor etc..
It's not like you keep giving exam your whole life. At some point you would stop giving exam and go to office.
So it is not like you will keep meditating doing religious practices or ringing temple bell or reading text..
Don't you want to rise above all that?
If you don't want then it's your wish. What am I going to lose? But if you want to rise above this, it's sole medium is contemplation.
Contemplation happens once you are established in meditation/Concentration. Meditation is not possible without firm resolve. Along with little bit of detachment.
Detachment does not mean that I would say it's too cold here do not sit with warm clothes. Let yourself freeze in cold! That is foolishness.
      So what is detachment?
      *sthita-prajnasya ka bhasa samadhi-*
*sthasya kesava sthita-dhih kim* *prabhaseta kim asita vrajeta kim.* (ch2v54)
      Meaning-
( Arjuna said: What are the symptoms of one whose consciousness is thus merged in Transcendence? How does he speak, and what is his language? How does he sit, and how does he walk?)
How Samadhist (whose consciousness is thus merged in Transcendence)is like? How does he look? What are his etiquette?
      *prajahati yada kaman*
      *sarvan partha mano-gatan*
      *atmany evatmana tustah*
      *sthita-prajnas tadocyate* (Ch2v55)
      Meaning -
(The Blessed Lord said: O Partha, when a man gives up all varieties of sense desire which arise from mental concoction, and when his mind finds satisfaction in the self alone, then he is said to be in pure transcendental consciousness.)
The one who has let go of actions inspired by desires.
Not the one who has given up action/karma. That person is foolish. It is not possible to give up one's action.
He is lying. No one can give up his/her karma/action. But who is not attached. Implies that it's ok if I get tea at 9 am to drink it's fine otherwise also it is ok. That is being detached.
Being detached means we do not care too much about what is happening to us.
If it starts to make a difference that whether people are praising us or condemning us. Are we sitting among friend or enemy. That means that is not Samadhist state.
So samadhi.. Just like there are three states.. Sleep awake and dreaming.
Fourth state is called Turiya (explained ahead in this section). In Tantra Turiya is also called Teeta.
Most Humans are in asleep state. Some sleep when lying on bed. Some sleep while they are awake. That's the problem.
      Vartamane vartatoapi...
Sleep when you are sleeping. When you are awake be awake. When you sleep it's *(sleeping state) sushupt.*
When you are awake it's *(awake state) jagrit.*
There is an 'in between state’ - *dreaming.* One does not get to know what's truth and what's untruth.
Whatever one sees looks like truth.
When mind sees dream while awake that is mind's basic work!
What does mind do? Mind dream in waking state. When mind remain awake in waking hours & stop dreaming then come about the state called *Turiya.*
      And that is Samadhi(Meditative state).
I don't agree that Durvasa Rishi did Sadhana for 60,000 years.
And if he did it's a terrible thing. What all wrong did he do in his practice/Tapasya that He could not attain in 60,000 years!
Ramakrishna Paramhans attained self realisation in 12 years.

      (4/n)
Gautam Buddha self realised in 10 years.
It does not take extraordinary length of time to self realise oneself.
But it depends if you are just playing around or sincerely making effort towards self realisation.
If you kindle something it is bound to get heated. It is that simple.
So if you want to walk the path of meditation, the foremost thing is to be firm in your resolve and bring a sense of detachment.
To make your resolve firm one needs to take small steps. Take resolve to abstain from doing what you wish to stop for 30 or 40 days.
I am sitting for half an hour. Come what may I won't move from here.
So I was talking about firmness. When I started intense sadhana, my knees stopped working.
For a moment I felt I won't be able to walk again ever.
I am saying the truth. Whatever I say consider it truth as I have taken vow to be truthful.
So I said no problem. If I had sword I would have severe my legs, the pain was this intense.
I said no problems, let it be. whether my sins are greater or your mercy? My lord take account and tell me this today!
Let's see how long it will go on..
So from somewhere in the forest two sticks were arranged. I would tell sometime how...
It wasn't too hard if I had to place my foot on level ground but if I had lift my foot even 6 inches no even 3 inches it was a awfully painful task!
At that time I thought about those saint and siddhas... They all walked nicely? Did they really attain samadhi? Or whether they attained self realisation? Or post realisation they got better or not?
There was no one to guide there...
I used to think our country is the land of great Yogi.
Great saints could be found easily anywhere.
Even if not everywhere at least a handful must be present who would say yes I have had the Vision of God you come with me, I will guide you.
      But I could find none.
Most of them want ashram, arrangements, money, respect, fame and following.
All those things that I don't want they want them how could there be a match.
How can life partner stay together if they aspire absolutely opposite?
Back to where we were, in the forest, I started walking with the help of two sticks.
When Sadhana kept progressing and I could experience the deep meditative state - samadhi and
      when feeling physical sensation started..
I had read about (body's) chakras..
People think there are seven chakra (Muladhara) (Swadhisthana)(Manipura)(Anahata)(Vishuddha)(Ajna)(Sahasrara)
And they would sit for 6 month (in meditation) and all the chakras will start activating.
Not even single chakra will activate. That's all childish.
So much is written about chakras.. About their petals, their God & their corresponding beej akshar.. All rubbish!
      That is not siddhi.
      Siddhi is a Distraction.
When you are very firm whatever resolve you take fulfils.
This is the biggest distraction, a human being is taking resolve all the time.
May this happen or may that happen!
Just yesterday or day before we were saying... Human being is either irked or imagining!
      There is no third thing!
So if you can be happy in all situation then I am telling you the truth you don't have to go to the temple nor you need to contemplate on God.
You just do service for the society. Help people. You do not have to do anything.
Neither you've to chase after Meditation or Yoga.
Because the gist of it all is to be happy in all conditions.
If you are happy in all situation then you do not have to do anything else.
God has given you life. Live it fully and enjoy it totally.
This is the only truth nothing else.
If contemplating on God round the clock was the truth then you tell me how would Prahlad Maharaj would enjoy his Kingdom?
Why did he indulge in worldly enjoyment while chanting Hari Hari Sri Hari?
Let's say after Vision of the Lord if there is not need of anything.
One's mind (manas) don't desire anything but the body and worldly requirements still needs to be fulfilled.
Why did Dhruv ji went and enjoyed his kingdom?
The reowned sages and saints... For what purpose Maharishi Vedvyasa used to go to Hastinapur?
In Devi Bhagwatam their is a reference that Sukdev ji got married on his father's insistence.
He progenated as well and left the kid. Why did he do so?
Bondage is a state of mind and that's all it is.
And that is self realisation and nothing else.
If you start to see God in all. You are already abundantly blessed. And consider your time priceless.
I also feel the same because time wastage is not acceptable to me.
      Don't waste your time.
And if you don't believe what I say then keep doing what you have been doing.
      Do and see for yourself.
You want such a God who didn't come in 50 years/70 years?
Even if he appears after such a long time then what?
God Vision happens once you have transformed everything.
Either your yearning is such that you want nothing but just God.
And you keep changing until God manifest. Let's see.
Either you transform yourself and become the one you aspire for.
Or become him and you would transform.
If being Human is difficult then become God.
It's very easy you just have to Love everything irrespective of what they do to you.
      That's all.
      You become God then.
So did you understand about meditation?
      How would you begin?
      Resolve and Firmness.
And Meditation start with small steps.
You can't say I will sit for 10 hours on day 1.
First start with ten minutes and increase slowly slowly.
Think of a swimmer swimming in 100m pool and his record is always 1 or 2 min then how will he progress?
Do you want to progress or just stay at same level!
At some point you have to progress and not just stay stagnant.
It is not that you do not know about Lord Krishna.
I am sure you know more than me.
Still you are sitting here. So if you just listen the katha and leave.
Somebody's tragedy is your story. If you just leave after the katha and don't bring any changes in your way of living.
Then you have wasted your as well as my time.
Wasted money and struggles in this cold is a another thing.
What was the necessity? It was way better to stay home.
If a student appear for let's say PMT multiple times. At some point he needs to clear and start reading his subject isn't it?
So you have to discover for your own truth.
You should neither ask me more walk on my truth.
Yes, you may take up the path I have taken.
If you are really serious about self realisation than you have to take out some time in which you can be in solitude and in silence.
You have to do this. Isn't it?
If you want to experience your Divinity you have to work for it.
If you can't work for it. Then don't aspire for it.
Outwardly help and solace is always limited.
For self realisation you have to bring changes in your own life.
And transformation always starts with small things.
Once I read somewhere, Change is so tiny that it comes in immeasurable units.
Later on these changes look so big; glaciers have reduced to half and so are the forests.
But when transformation happens in small units.
Millions droplets form a gushing waterfall.
Because we are not able to see the droplets one after another and it seems like a waterfall.
So a miniscule effort will not make much difference.
So contemplate yourself what you want from your life.
If God was one then tell me how could there be so many religion?
      Could it be possible?
And if we say one religion is false then all would be a fallacy.
And if we say all religion are true then what is the truth?
Truth is that I'm which you have belief in.
I manifested my God with my emotion and concentration. And that's about it.
This world is made up of collective consciousness.
So when the world cease to exist its existence ceases only for the one who attained Samadhi. Not for others.
When your God will manifest. He will manifest only for you.
Let's assume your Lord manifested for you and you still are in square one.
No zest and zeal in heart or life.
That means either that was not God or it was your illusion. Who want such a God?
So to break oneself is the greatest of meditation when your mind is silenced.
      Everything is possible by tapas(practice)
      देवद्विजगुरुप्राज्ञपूजनं शौचमार्जवम्।
      ब्रह्मचर्यमहिंसा च शारीरं तप उच्यते।।
When you start to practice tapas through body, speech and mind.
You yourself would start to walk towards self realisation.
You don't have to go to anyone else for guidance.
What is the tapas of the body?
Respecting the elders, doesn't matter how they are. Example sake - don't take it word by word - irrespective of someone else's behaviour I would respond them righteously.
That is the tapas for me. (Of the body)
If someone behaves violently and I remain nonviolent that is my tapas for me. I refrained from being violent.
      And Brahmacharya..
If someone ask me which is the most misunderstood and misinterpreted word in our religion it is Brahmacharya

    • @tanvis4641

      (5/n)
I need ample time to expound on this.. What is Brahmacharya.
If Mother Divine Will's someday I will share what is Brahmacharya in detail. I can't tell in a min or two.
      anudvega-karam vakyam
      satyam priya-hitam ca yat
      svadhyayabhyasanam caiva
      van-mayam tapa ucyate
Such words should be uttered that doesn't cause rising of anger in another.
      That's the tapas of speech.
Once there was a man, driving on mountain sides.
And lady approached in opposite direction in another car.
She shouts loudly to him - Pig...
The man cried - You pig!
A little bit ahead the guy hit his car with a Pig.
      What did you understand?
She was alerting him to be careful as not to hit the pig.
He misunderstood that she was hurling abuse at him and lost his focus.
So if someone said something undesirable to me did I think before responding or not?
If one keeps his calm then that moment could well have been past.
But the man doesn't allow the moment to pass because he doesn't remember/ is not mindful.
This is the fourth pillar of Meditation is that when I sit for meditation I should remember what is it that I am supposed to bring in my conscious.
      How does mind gets distracted?
      A person forgets.
If you turn on any music of your choice and make up ur mind to listen to it, you won't be able to focus on the piece for more than 3 sec.
You would get distracted and replay it.
A made up lie has its importance because it's not all pervading only you know that made up truth!
It is very easy to influence by saying a lie. Because you made your own truth.
      Priyahitam.. 💙
Your speech should be pleasing to the other.
      If you find someone beautiful.
      Tell them.
He would feel good if you compliment him.
      Don't hesitate.
If you see them ten times.. Compliment them ten times.
Don't keep the good thing to yourself! Its better to express.
Swadhayaya - if one studies, that is no good. But if one studies themselves, I consider that as swadhyay.
      Studying the self.
If you practice tapas of speech and body then tapas of mind (manas) becomes easy.
      manah-prasadah saumyatvam
      maunam atma-vinigrahah
      bhava-samsuddhir ity etat
      tapo manasam ucyate
Means no matter what happens I will remain Happy that's it.
Who can shake me from my stance of being Happy in every situation.
What can happen in life that can reduce one to a state of sadness?
It implies Worldly enjoyment are still consuming you and not other way round.
When you do tapas from Mind (manas), speech and body then you would understand what is meditation and will then be able to attain the state of Samadhi
Otherwise you'll have to find happiness in spiritual texts discourse and devotional songs.
To keep the mind busy in one way or other...one need to engage in watching TV, listening to katha and so on.
So this is the basis of meditation.
But in life you should know the art of
      living.
One should just not keep doing one thing monotonously...
Mullas Nasrudin bought a special Bull who had won a race
      worth ₹15, 000
People were very impressed such a pricey bull.
After few days people notice that that bull was sowing the field.
The neighbors asked him why such a pricy bull is made to work in field!
Mulla said He should know only frolicking is not enough one needs to work in life as well!
If you have won a title then what happened? You have to work as well.
Do the work that you want to do.
That alone will bring inner peace in you.
What one person is doing, doing that same thing won't being peace to you too.
Inner peace is attained by doing what you truly value.
What bring happiness to a Mom? That his child should be fed well.
Yes, there is an element of attachment but She has given birth to the child it's not a sin to feel for her children.
One who runs a business find happiness in prosperity of his business.
Young boy or girl find happiness in having a girlfriend or boyfriend. Aspiring for the life they want to live.
There is no sin in those things.
If He is doing good for the society. Not hurting anyone. Is it any less a devotion?
One rings the bell in temple and slaps another once step out of temple!
What is the value of such devotion?
Everybody feels so happy listening to the time-pass of Lord Krishna.
He broke the butter pot. 🍯
but in one's own house if a kid breaks a glass just see how you react! 😲
And if he breaks one everyday (like Krishna) then think what will happen?🤯
Because you don't have to put up with Mischief of Krishna just feel good listening to his stories!
When one put up with challenges the one knows where one stands!
I think yesterday I was saying... If we offer food to the Lord and if Lord really take part in our offerings then people will quit offering food to God.
      Anyways people have stopped offering.
      What is surrender?
      This is meditation's 5th basis.
Surrender is in every situation I will be happy. Whatever happens to me is your blessings. Whichever way you want to keep me it's alright. I am doing my sadhana (practice)
Those (seekers) who believe in non-duality also has their belief rooted in something.
That belief is in themselves or in others that doesn't make much difference.
So I think it's been long now.
      It's 7:15 p.m. now
      Is it 7:15 p.m.?
Alright then food must be ready.
Devotee - One can only meditate on a form how can one meditate on formless?
Someone asked this question to Ramakrishna Paramhans. They asked him do you believe in formless or form?
      He said in Form.
The questioner said I believe in Formless. God is formless he does not take any form.
That is why I like to meditate on formless.
He says to the questioner have you ever seen an archer? Does he start shooting arrows in air from day 1 or start with shooting at an aim?
The dexterity one need to successfully aim at a flying bird comes with practice on still objects.
If I ask you to meditate on air? What would you do? On what would you meditate?
In true self realisation.. A person moves from form to formless.
      Because Form is limited!
      Why is it limited?
If we experience a power cut here we won't be able to see any form. So form is dependent on senses.
When things are happening simultaneously one can see..
There is light and eyes are open to see, then one can see.
If I create an image within then through the sense of the mind I am still watching a form.
Can I see the form that I have never imagined?
If I have seen the form outside ands imagined it the I can see it.
The question is not which is better - meditating on form or formless.
Some like jeans some like dhoti. What you like you meditate on that.
If I ask you to meditate on Krishna or Mother Divine and you don't have belief in them then what is the use?
There was a man, a very good devotee of Mahaveer Bhagwaan
He had kept His idol on the alter many years he prayed to him. Offered him his favourite things every Tuesday.
No self realisation nothing. He offered ladoo. All in vain.
He came to the conclusion that this Form is of no use.
He bought an idol of Lord Krishna.
He refrained from immersing Lord Hanuman's idol thinking what if He felt bad and showed him stars in the morning.
So he keeps his idol on the higher shelf in his temple.
And he start to pray his new Lord.
Nothing will happen with changing Gods.
After a while he notices that the incense fragrance was going up to Lord Hanuman.
He things to himself Lord Hanuman is still taking fragrance. But it should not go to him it should all reach to my Lord Krishna.
So he bring down the idol and start stuffing his nose when he stuffs his second nostrils he is taken aback. Hanuman ji manifests.

He was taken aback in surprise.
He says so Many years I prayed to you my faith had shaken on you whether you are God or not.
Then Lord Hanuman says it's today that you showed complete faith that I was receiving your offering (incense fragrance)
So your emotion had become so pure that I had to manifest.
      That's all it takes.
Actually everybody knows there is a God but they have a doubt somewhere.
Nobody really wants to Lord to actually that manifest in front of them.
Once I met a sadhu and he told me a story of Goswami Tulasidas ji to me.
Once someone went to Goswami Tulasidasand asked Have you seen Lord Ram?
      He said yes.
The seeker said even I want to have his darshan. Please tell me an easiest way.
Tulsidas ji said - do you mean easy or quick method?
Seeker said - yes a quick method..
Tulasidas ji said do one thing climb on a peepal tree and plunge trident on the ground below shout out Name of the Lord RAM... And jump on the trident 🔱 Lord Ram will come and catch you.
      He said that is it?
      Tulasidas ji said - Yes!
Seeker said - what if he doesn't show up?
Tulsidas ji said why will He not come?
You asked me the quickest way to have his darshan I told you.
There is no other way that is easier quicker and faster than this.
He strikes the Trident on the ground climbs the tree. Many times he shouts Ram and put his arms and legs down but never jumps.
Everyone knows their life to be precious.
Even my life is precious to as is for everyone but some are attached and some are not. That's all the difference is.
      So he never jumps.
From far a carpenter was watching all this.
      Approaches him and ask him.
That poor guy struck on the tree comes down not having anyone to share his story.
He asks the carpenter have you heard name of Goswami Tulsidas ji?
He replies - of course who doesn't know his name.
He has told me easiest way to realise God is to thrust a Trident on ground say Ram and jump on it.
Carpenter says then are you not doing it?
The person says what if he doesn't come then what will I do? Who will take care of me?
What if I neither die nor stay come out alive and hung in between life and death.
Then carpenter said ok the you go and ask Him of another way.
Can you leave the Trident for me? I wil return it in the evening.
      The guy said ok.
The carpenter climbs says RAM and jumps.
Then Lord Ram manifests and catch him.
But the sadhu who told me this story can't do this nor can I!
And I feel it's foolishness to do such a thing.
It is a matter of one's past life impressions.
God is not waiting for you to take a vow to end your life to see him
If the child says to his mother if you won't give chocolate I will jump. That's rubbish!
But when past lives impressions are strong then nothing can stop a person.
Then the man starts to move in his (Lord's) direction
      ....
Someone asked me the fashion Gautam Buddha left his home was it appropriate?
      Mahavir left his home.
      Was it appropriate?
It is not about being appropriate or not appropriate.
We weighing in the measure of appropriateness and inappropriateness because we think it's in our hand.
But when asceticism sprouts one doesn't have the sense of appropriateness and inappropriateness.
Then the man follows the path of his calling.
They say hindsight vision is 10/10 or 6/6 whatever.
It is very easy to suggest what could have been done better once we have lived through the moment.
I wonder if it's true but it's written in Bodhidharama, that after self realisation when Gautam Buddha came back to the palace to meet him and while He was returning his son and wife follows him.
The wife said until you pass on your kingdom with your own hands he can't be the King while you are still alive.
Your parents have already past away.
So whatever you have you must pass it to him. If you give it to him then it will belong to him.
Just next to Buddha stood a Monk holding orche robe. He gives that robe to his son and says take this (robe) this all that I have.
So prior to the times of Gautam Buddha for a woman to become a nun was not ordinary thing.
They weren't supposed to follow the path of asceticism.
So the foremost lady who came to him to become a nun and be in his Sangha(in his company)
So his monks said to him.. Hey Shasta Hey Bhante what are you saying that's a women?
Buddha said Sangha has been created without any biases attached to it.
Now you are desiring me to bring this gender bias so that females can't join this Sangha?
      Such a thing won't happen.
If you do not have desire and still enjoying them, it is not a problem.
You don't desire the ladoo (sweets) or water but when you drink the water and get over with it, that's the end of it.
But if you are thinking about the desire then it's matter of concern.
indriyanam hi caratam yan mano 'nuvidhiyate tad asya harati prajnamv Vayur navam ivambhas
A person can restraint his desire on the surface but deep down his mind (manas) is struck to those desires.
Sri Krishna says in that scenario a person meets the same destiny as a boat meets without a rudder.
So the highest sign of Meditation and most important base is neither firmness nor resolve nor detachment or letting go.
      It is One-Pointed Focus.
If you have to bring up a three storey building.
Work will start from the foundation itself. You can't build the third floor in the beginning.
So when you start to progress in Meditation you start to build focus and then you reach that meditative state.
Then the three - meditator, the object of meditation and meditation becomes One.
Knowledge, subject and knower becomes One.
Aspirant, guru and goal become One.
Till then the awareness of the three remains.
The human keeps himself busy in calculation.. 1...2...3...4...5...
By the grace of God I shall keep sharing few more things as well in coming days.
But you have to contemplate yourself. You have to walk the path yourself.
In today's time if we could walk the path for the other then the parents would set everything ready for the kids.
They need not do any work.
Nobody would have to struggle in life then.
But you will self realise when you walk the path not the other.
So no goal is big or small.
You should figure what really matters to you in your life.
If someone else, who is not even related to you, is being benefitted by what you aspire for, then it must be a good thing.
      Just do that, don't hesitate.
Are you getting what I am saying.
Let's say my life goal is to open a school.
May be it does not sound as grand as doing a Bhagvad Katha or we are opening a Temple or we are donating to a known saint.
It may sound ordinary that I want to open a school in a village.
It seems like a small goal.
But if I really value this and a kids future will change for better.
Everyone make efforts for people who are related to them but not for the others.
If you're working for the society then don't hesitate..you are doing a good thing it will bring you closer to God not far from him.
Because inner peace can be attained by doing the right thing not wrong.
You may feel the happy for some time doing the wrong.
But Inner peace is attained when one does the right thing.
That is why live with happiness.
      Live and let live.
This is the fundamental of religion.
Eat and feed. Drink and offer to other as well.
Not just your for your own work for others good as well.
      Country will be served automatically.
      That is God.
And then you learn to live in that moment.
When you are listening to the katha you would just listen and won't chatter
      Or get distracted.
That is meditation when a person start to live in the moment.
Because thought does not prevail the whole of time it arises moment to moment.
Bliss also stays in moment to moment.
So, I will rest the subject and speech else it will be morning really.
      (Laughter)
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare.
Hare Ram Hare Ram Ram Ram Hare Hare..
Victory to Lord Radha Krishna 🦚
      Victory to Lord Narayan 🙂
      Sincerely Yours Swami ji.
I am sure, you've, for this transliteration, done hand holding for me. Because one must know the sentiment of the speaker to be able to transliterate which is not possible for me as I have only spent a meager amount of time around you or listened to limited discourses and so on. Especially this is possibly , I guess, the first time you did katha and opened your treasure of knowledge and love for humanity. With Dhyan Yoga and Srimad Bhagwad katha.
      Tanvi 🙇‍♀
