I enjoy watching this past press your luck episodes. Great that Brad went out as a retired champion. His girlfriend sure is beautiful. I still miss this show today. It was a great show.
Yes i certainly do have the ultra exciting episode 174. (David/becky/paul i believe). With the highest single day win total to that point.... a record that stood for only a couple of weeks (untill mike larson came along).
It was 173. Funny thing about that episode, there was another cut from the CBS broadcast days, that focused more on the home player game, than on the drama, like the GSN cut does.
Although i was noticing there was something whacky with the audio. I think i might have tweaked the audio a bit too much when i recorded it. Picture is still pristine... just the audio is wacky.
I use to enjoy watching press your luck on USA after school everyday Peter and rod made my afternoon and scrabble along with go and pyramid what a treasure before gameshow network and buzzr existed
It was 182. I really wish it resurfaced. So far, at least three episodes of the first Home Player Game from the original CBS broadcast days, exist among collectors: 5/18/1984, 6/8-11/1984 (I count Larson's reign of terror as one episode), and most recently, 5/25/1984.
they actually did a study that showed television shows are about on average 3 minutes shorter than they were back then. the extra time cut is to allow for more commercial time. this is no doubt the case here. prime example of this is way back when the syfi channel was rerunning V : The Series they cut a good 4 mins or so from the first episode alone. i noticed alot of cut scenes on the dvd set when WB finally released it to home video.
This was a perfect example of TERRIBLE Press your luck strategy... 5 spins, over $10K and didnt pass -- he wouldve defintely whammy-ed on 1 of the 5 forced spins as he got more nervous. and would've never been able to catch back up...Then passing it with only 2 spins and only up 3500 is also boneheaded decision.... Granny deserved to lose that game....
You can't win in third place, you have to catch second place or she couldve just taken the spins. Pass early on or commit to pressing but after every spin ask yourself
12:37 Brad looked like he pulled a Michael Larson (watch the pattern). I've noticed through all 171 episodes so far, some players were trying to memorize the board (with little luck).
I miss this show. Peter Tamarkin and Bob Barker kept me company when I stayed home sick from school.

Both cuts of episode #173 were just a shade under 22 minutes. GSN had parts of the episode that CBS didn't show and vice versa.
Last I heard, he has every single episode GSN aired in the last decade, from 2/21/84 to 11/15/85.
Do you have Episodes 174-175???
Does anyone have the episode GSN didn't air a few days after Becky's BIG win, I think it was episode 180?
Does anyone know how many episodes of "Press Your Luck" there are uploaded on CZcams? If anyone knows, let me know.
Brad is one weird guy 👦.
Brad is a lucky man. His girlfriend is one smokin' hot lady.
I wonder how friendly she'd be if he hadn't won $30,000
brad, cocaine is one hell of a drug! lol

It was known that some of the players did figure it out, only Micheal made a killing on it.
Yeah, that was the patten where it goes from side to side. I bet they only knew a pattern or two, but it works out to win.
WTF is wrong with Brad? That face he makes. *shudder*
Too much drug
