UPDATE: I did keep Bobbi Brown Freestyle and Urban Decay My Dude! I don’t need both because they’re so similar so I will be keeping one, I’m just not sure which one yet. I also kept the Flower Beauty Desert Lights Palette to see if I can make some of the other shades work as a one-and-done. The formula is AMAZING and I love the way it looks on camera.

Hey Kait, Em Cosmetics' Heavens Glow actually looks nice on camera, but it might be different in person for sure. And I really like Persona E-Balm on you! Also, I love how raw you always are and how candidly you describe your experience and feelings💖 Especially, when talking about trauma-related sotries, people tend to me "Yes, this happened, but I'm okay, everything will be okay." And that's not really true. It takes a lot to be okay, and therapy can be so beneficial during that process. I'm not happy that you and others have gone through ordeals, but like you said, I'm glad to know that I'm not alone😌 So thank you so much!

I love tapping the lightest shade of the Desert lights palette over the pinky Rimmel liquid shadow you love. It gives a very glossy, rosy look that I love for every day just paired with mascara. 🥰

So agree with you about the Saie bronzer. It was such a beautiful formula, but it looked so orange on my cheeks. I decluttered it to a friend with a deeper skin tone. I am hoping they have a cooler toned bronzer soon. I loved this video! Thank you

Love the eyeshadow- the slight red tone brings out the blue in your eyes. I vote for the Persona lip and UD my dude. I have the Bobby brown in smoothie move and it’s one of my faves- I put on much less though, and I love how it stains my lips a bit as it wears off

The Em cosmetics blush is totally like a blonzer. I always get compliments when I wear it but you’re right! It barely shows up on the skin.
I’m totally down for a barely there blush, but it’s like no color but allllllllll the shimmer on me
I also hate the format of a lip crayon BUT the Beauty Pie crayons are my one exception. Great formula that lasts surprisingly long (on me, at least) and the shade Baby Bare really does something pretty on the lips. Berry Jane is also a great deeper ruddy berry shade that’s easy to sheer out.

@@StateofKait it was also interesting to see you use the Chantecaille foundation. It doesn’t feel to dewy to me but I basically like to look drenched in makeup lol! You also have me curious about that saie bronzer but I’m not sure I’d enjoy the undertones on myself either.

I never comment on shit, like ever, and your previous vid was the one time i felt so compelled to and I'm really glad i did, just so you and the other viewers know that none of us are alone. I hear what you are saying about the Desert Lights palette, but it made your eye colour really pop!! As for the UD/Bobbi Brown debate: I think the UD made your lips look a bit shinier & smoother than the BB. Strictly based on colour, I think they both look great on you.

If you haven’t tried beauty pie before my favs are the luminizing wand, triple hyaluronic acid moisture cream, happy face cica relief moisturizer, wondergloss collagen lip oil, and the future lipstick luxe shine. As for a dupe for the Em cosmetics lip cushions- yes! I have a video on my channel of the Charlotte Tilbury Happikiss lipstick balms and I compare them to Em Cosmetics. Yes to Saie releasing a lighter, cooler toned bronzer! I have the Em Cosmetics Baroque blush and I'm still getting to know it, or trying to get to know it. So far I like it best layered with a Patrick Ta blush that's so close to my actual natural flush it practically disappears on me. I use the Baroque a little higher on my cheekbones for some glow, and then put the Patrick Ta over it more on the apples of my cheeks. I really do want to try other shades of the Em Cosmetics blush, but I think I'll be searching the resale sites instead of buying directly from them given recent developments.
I know a lot of people love Baroque but for some reason it’s like all shimmer in mine!

Yes, I love a good "what's on the chopping block" video 😄 So odd though, I use the Saie Sun Melt bronzer daily, and I'm quite a bit fairer than you, but I guess because I have warmth and yellow leaning olive in my skintone, it works like a charm ! Bronzer ranges should definitely be created based on skin tones as well as skin undertones !
Totally! It's all about undertone! The formula is so good, it can definitely be sheered out, it's just that it leans a little orange on me
I vote for UD My Dude. They do look very similar--both stunning on your lips and skintone--and while I could make a case for the nuances between them to be different enough to keep both, you hate the way the BB smells and you don't like the texture/gloopiness on your lips. To me it seems like UD is the clear winner.
I also agree with you on the Desert Lights palette. Hearing you talk it through solidified what I've been thinking, but hadn't really articulated. That e you put on today really reminded me of Mac Amorous Alloy. Are they close or am I way off?
And I also agree with you on the Em Cosmetics blush. I have several of the other blushes in the same formula, and I hadn't been able to figure out why I wasn't reaching for it, why it didn't do the same magical thing on my cheeks that the others do. And what the hell color is that blush anyway?!?! I think I'll be decluttering mine soon as well.

Totally agree with everything you said. Funny enough - when I was editing this video this morning, I realized the desert lights shadow looks like amorous alloy. I’ll swatch side by side and if they’re similar I’ll declutter the palette

I need to go back and read the comments that were added after I saw them initially. I like the UD lip gloss better. Maybe it’s knowing the horrid scents she added to her BB products and now the Jones Road line that’s skewing my opinion.

@@StateofKait I tried a few things way back when it was launched. There was a kit with 4 or so products. They all have been passed on or thrown out. You know it’s pretty bad when you can’t even pass on a pink glittery lip product to your preteen daughter. It was GRITTY and watery and terrible tasting. The miracle balm was even worse. Smelled like a rotting vegetable garden. Nope nope nope.

I completely see the niche for someone with an edited makeup bag. One base product, concealer, eyeshadow, etc. just functional, luxe, and beautiful. But for beauty junkies who have 5+ of each category, it can get so steep!

I think the Fitglow brow gel is bold. I love it but I have to brush it out quite a bit - I wear it when I want a power brow. I went one shade lighter than my eyebrow hair and it’s still quite dark so I wonder if they just formulate them quite dark? I’m glad I didn’t go for the black even though my hair is jet black.
Definitely bold. I really like it, I just have to be careful with it!
So don’t hate on Beauty Pie for their lip crayon because it’s definitely not drug store like packaging as all drug store lipsticks are conventional bullets. At the same time it seemed like wands in lipgloss were unappealing but the Dior lipgloss had a wand. A bit contrary to me. Also you should try Beauty Pie’s genius under eye corrector which comes in a fair pink and a medium peachy color. They’re both slightly iridescent to reflect light from the under eye area. Not sure if I should mention my new love which is a lipgloss by Persona in the color Hybiscus. Absolutely breathtaking which I don’t say lightly. In the past it’s been difficult to find a red color that suits my fair skin but this one is perfection. Edit: I happen to like Baroque but generally use it as a blush topper to add dimension or in the case of Bubble to ever so slightly tone it down and give it more sheen. Different strokes for different folks I guess. We can have different opinions but let’s be respectful to one another. ❤️

I have the jungle lights palette and am also underwhelmed. The green, for example, has a rather sooty base, which I think works for an olive green. But then the glitters are all bright yellow gold, which feels incompatible with the base color and unsophisticated somehow. Fine tapped out in a sheer layer, but really doesn’t feel like it delivers on what it looks like in the pan or even in a hand swatch.
Agreed, super shimmery and a bit ashy. Just not flattering so now I sent it to a friend and she loves it!

You have to put so much of baroque on to see it. Not the most flattering. Like Mac beach please, but not as pretty, without the mauve , maybe? I would like the cherub blush, but it is STILL unavailable.

Kait, sometimes I just think you over think things. For example all those lip products looked great on you and honesty the scent of lipsticks never lasts long ( I have tons and all brands cause lipstick is my weakness) and the difference between the BB and UD textures is negligible.Just use the damn products. No offense.
