For people who don’t know while he was healthy and the starter the Sabres were
9-6 in a season where they went 15-34
He had a .917 save percentage on the Sabres.
Wish he got to stay and hate that he went to Boston but as long as he’s heathy he’s an elite tender who I’m glad has a good chance to win a cup now

Ignore the majority of the Bruins fans on the internet - those of us who know hockey and have been around are THRILLED to have Ullmark.
Last night's game against Oilers, will hopefully finally get him some respect that he so much deserves.

Yeah he just got his 40th win of the season. Tied for most ever in a season. He was definitely a very good trade. Thank you Buffalo!
Man, I am from Sweden and I remember the day where Ullmark enlisted to Modo Hockey, a small swedish hockey club dear to me. It's amazing to see how long he has come in the span of a few years, good luck.

Some of his highlights make me feel like I'm watching Tim Thomas.
There's something about this guy -Jeremy gets the headlines but this guy is our backbone this season

found interviews of Linus explaining everything. Including, he nearly quit hockey because of his father's health. He gives good interviews
When we get a new player in, don't go to Bruins fans or podcasts, go to their fans.
Sabres fans were more upset at losing Linus than Hart winner Taylor Hall and I wanted to know why.
I could clearly see that Linus was playing injured the past three years, his recoveries were painful. Sabres fans told me he was called up early after his double hip surgery because their goalie got injured.
Then I saw him moving very differently November 2021 in Canada, started spinning like a Tasmanian devil. I found out he just got his brand new custom gear... The hip rehab had kicked in & That was it.
6 months with Goalie Bob and the top rehabs in the world? With that chip on his shoulder being told he never ever make it to the NHL? That's a perfect storm for success.
Goalies have been my thing since Gerry cheevers and Ken Dryden
Now let's see if he can reproduce a season like this next year. Then his jersey might hit the rafters-
bruins don't retire goalie jerseys in the rafters. I was surprised they gave Jeremy swayman #1, that should be retired, Tiny Thompson
So Linus' # retired would be a first also.

Too many fair-weather Bruins fans don't understand talent - most of them can't even bend over to lace-up a skate.
So I've been going towards sabres videos to learn about Linus from you folks.
Cuz I can't get any reasonable Boston Bruins fans to open their eyes to see what gift we just got.
They're stuck on Jeremy swayman for some reason.
But, as Bruins are fair weather fans - after last night's performance in Edmonton? maybe, just maybe they'll cut Linus a break.

Seems to me that the Buffalo sabres are being treated as a minor league team - their role is to prepare players for the NHL.
I hope you get some decent Management in there - we need Buffalo to help represent the East.
I don't think he is a bad goaltender but he has lapses where he is hesitant and sometimes that pays against the goaltender, he has a good coverage capacity but still I congratulate his performance since it is difficult to be a hockey goalie!!
You right, and there are so many underrated goalies
Double check that hesitation - he's actually playing chicken
he stays like a stone and doesn't flinch so the scoring opponent doesn't force him to commit one way or the other.
Very effective in shootouts - Connor McDavid has got nowhere with Ullmark, in two games, because of that "hesitation"
You play chicken with oncoming opponents - nobody wants to commit first. Cuz you'll tip your hand.

They have no idea how to assess a goalie. They don't understand they create breakaways, run the defensive lines - help the player shoot on opponents.
- I find that across the board for most internet hockey fan sites.
99% of them don't even own a puck or a hockey stick.
So yeah - there is one comment on here from another Bruins fan - it's rare. I will admit.
Some of these young fans don't remember Gerry cheevers being spit on, Tim Thomas having shoes thrown at him - they're very good at using Rask as their pinata.
Most likely that was their parents - and they're carrying on the family legacy of assolic Bruins fans.
But those of us who first saw Ullmark at work? Lifted the hood on his stats?
Are absolutely THRILLED to have him playing in black & gold.

But we've got to understand the perspective of the sabres fans, and the reputation of those who choose to call themselves "Bruins fans" -
this comment is absolutely correct.
Bruins fans did not want ullmark - maybe after last night's performance, those fair weather fans will do a 180° flip - but they'll flop right back next time he's between the pipes and the Bruins lose.
@@TheFoolintherainn Gonna be honest. I think this wasn't the best now that I see it, but. I genuinely thought he would be good and would look nice in the Bruins' sweater, however his performance is a bit lackluster from when we got him at the start of the season. I didn't think we needed Ullmark I think Rask and Swayman or Vladar and Swayman would be a better option then what we have right now.
@@anth_00 gotcha. we need both. The difference to me is ullmark is a veteran, he knows how to correct his mistakes - got a better idea where he's lacking, doesn't need to learn anything new.
Jeremy is still green. His learning curve is a liability.
To be fair, my eye is as a goalie skills coach. Defense. So you probably know the rest of the game, the forward lines better than I.
There's amazing instinct, sharp sharp angles,
Yet a lot lacking in Jeremy's details - he's perceived as a weak link, as demonstrated by the coach's decision during the Vancouver shootout - they never would have pulled that with Rask or a seasoned goalie.
He's not defending his crease - ullmark was pushing Oilers out of his crease last night, tuukka puts his paddle up their crotch 🙃
Jeremy is still in the learning defender mode. Our defenders have to knock the guys out of the crease for Jeremy.
Part of the liability is the perception of a green goalie. They're going to scrutinize him for his flaws - which are easier to see right now.
The entire reason Jeremy and Daniel were called up was because the covid knocked out our two goalies.
They weren't called up because they were ready.
That's my biggest red flag.
Bruins were still going with the Rask - halak tandem with options to bring up vladar and swayman and they didn't until they absolutely had to
They weren't ready to put Swayman nor Vladar in over Halak at that time, until halak was ill and struggling. Many don't realize, he was also injured & sick during the playoffs. He's actually doing pretty well right now.
I want Jeremy in the long run.
Not only for his talent - but he brings back fond memories of the East Coast now that I'm in the 49th

So I wouldn't mind watching Jeremy over the next decade... Watching that talent grow.
Bottom line - covid protocol means we need three solid goalies. I'm good with all three.

Made of glass. Did you see the amount of desperation saves he was making? Anybody is going to be getting injured doing that. Not his fault he was on such a bad defence that making several split and diving saves a night was just normal. On a better defence he’ll certainly be more healthy
