I recently went to the us and did the exact same thing at Walmart and Trader Joe’s, looking for rare plants is just so fun, also even if your channel is supposed to be about plants I personally watch your videos because I like you as a person and your life update is really something that I do care about and I think a lot of your viewers do!

I also started therapy recently and will probably get medication soon. I feel that if it wasn’t for plants idk what would have been of me. Tbh plants are my inspiration to live and the first reason for me to get better, because the idea of not being able to care for them is something I couldn’t handle. That’s not an option for me.
In this process now I found accepting my emotions and whatever sensations appear to be the best practice. Accepting my humanity and being thankful to be able to change my perception about things as you said.
I don’t know you Ashley, but I want you to know that I love you so much and that I’m very thankful for your content and for who you are in essence. I’m very happy that we are having the courage to take care of our health in this time again.

June 2, 2022 Jesus Christ healed me of 50+ years of complex PTSD due to childhood sx abuse, all sibling suicided, near deaths by guns/knives by criminals 3x in RX, loss of most if my vision due to bilateral retina disease and my clinical PharmD career 6 yrs ago. 62 yrs old now.

I found a Hoya Krohniana splash and a Hoya lacunosa Snow Caps at my local Lowe's. They looked pretty rough, seriously overwatered. But, I bought them anyway. For the prices, even if I only could salvage parts of them, they'd still be a bargain. I don't usually repot plants immediately but these were so wet and in such inappropriate media, I really needed to do it.

Bravo thank you for mentioning about therapy and mental health I am a big believer in that when my mother passed away I went to group therapy through hospice for at least a couple of years and my sister is a mental health therapist :-) I'm a huge believer in it. I will miss the mad dashes to our local Charlotte stores for the latest Ashley big box find. I know it's an adjustment to live in a different climate, but I think you will love it there. I’ve pushed away from plant buying a lot this summer trying to cultivate a better outdoor space.
That being said I hope you focus on some of that on your European travels and Michigan! Wow. Even they have tough winters I heard /seen here on CZcams what a great growing zone it is! Especially check out Jack Barnwell on the island up there!

I hope your full time transition to Michigan goes smoothly and that your plants adjust without much fuss. When I moved back to the Bay Area from Arcata I only had 130 plants, so kudos to you for making an even longer trip with over 200 plants. I also wanted to share that I got to live out a planty dream of mine and bought several Phalaenopsis orchids from Trader Joe's in a single trip. They're going to be centerpieces at my wedding reception next week and it was a lot of fun to fill up a cart with beautiful orchids.

Thank goodness you are fine health wise had me at the edge of my seat thinking you were sick. I did notice at the very beginning had you lost weight so dramatically fast. Congratulations on your big move. A. long distance relationship with your spouse Is really hard. We had to do that for about 6 months and it wasn't for us either. You'll know where all the great plant stores are in no time. LOL. Headed to HD now! I've been on the hunt for an Iron Cross Begonia but can't find one. Question... do you do anything proactive to treat your plants from big box stores for pests when you get them home? Many times the plants in Lowes or HD have spider mites... or the ones around them do. I just had the same thing happen at Costco this morning. I always isolate but I'm wondering if there is a downside to washing them with insecticide soap when I get home. Thanks again. Your videos are so informative.
