Just finished installing the Mulch Control Kit BUC10704 on my ’23 Z320M ZTrak. I watched your video about 3 times, so I just went right after it. I did do something different however, as I left the deck on the machine. I disconnected the two rear drives by pulling the pins out (that you showed in another video) and moved the operator control arms inward, so the machine would roll freely. Using two nylon straps chocked around each caster frame I attached a small chain fall and lifted the machine to about 45 degrees. This gave me complete access to under the deck to remove the blades and to attach the kit to the deck. I removed the foot deck to access the top area of the mower deck. Now the big surprise, John Deere has completely redesigned the handle mechanism. It’s now a very robust design with a big spring and handle is part of the assembly with a rubbery plastic piece slid onto the metal section that you grab to operate the door. It only mounts with one of the rounded bottom screws and the nut on the pin-flag piece provides the other handle fastening point. Also the pin-flag piece is no longer galvanized, just black paint. The other rounded bottom screw just secures the plastic deflector to the deck, no longer the handle. Thanks again for your videos, they helped this kit install a simple job to accomplish. If you would like to see photos of the new handle assembly as installed I’d be glad to share them.

This add on works well and is very easy to install. Unfortunately it's not worth the $150.00 (even more now I see) from a quality of parts perspective. The part of the plastic that holds the operating paddle/stud broke on mine halfway through the first season of use. I am now back to getting blasted by face-full of grass and dirt. Lovely. John Deere wants me to pay another $65.00 for a new piece. I thoroughly enjoy my X330. This is a lesson learned. John Deere, never again.

Your video is the best !!! So easy to follow 👍. However I’m personally disappointed with the product. I installed it 100% correctly and when I first ran it the blade chewed through the piece that opens and closes. Not enough where it went through the other side but enough where it may now be compromised in the future. I have a z345m . I told the dealer and they didn’t offer me any compensation because they didn’t install it . Bummer

The dry condition kit just helps to decrease air flow to reduce the amount of dust your mower produces. If you are looking to mulch then definitely go with a mulching kit.

My kit (for my Z345M Zero Turn) came with the mulch blades so I wonder if it's necessary now also? My kit though doesn't have the type of chute handle yours has? My handle is pretty much just a straight spring tension handle that triggers open/close and it's the BUC10704 found here...czcams.com/video/sQpL4Wos5Pg/video.html&lc=UgxSDDw7tgglDhedS5h4AaABAg
Kind of would like the handle like yours where it locks the chute in either position whereas mine using spring force that can kind of open if grass clippings clog in the discharge area.
