    It's been a few decades since I lived up in the Commonwealth and worked in Revere as well as Salem Massachusetts. It was back in the early 80s . I have some great memories of when I lived there and hoping on the T commuter rail from either Beverly ? Salem or up in Newburyport Massachusetts. I'm also a native born New Yorker from the Bronx. I've been living here in the Southwest region for a few decades now and here in the State of New Mexico they have a commuter rail but have struggled to get a strong ridership from the people here. I personally can think of a number of reasons as to why some the reasons exist . Anyway in close I miss the Northeast region there . The history ? The beauty? The great foods .... Lol particularly the Italian food . As well as the real New England Red lobster . . And how about the magnificent views and scenery around up there. I believe there wouldn't be too many to argue the sights riding on the commuter rail on the Hudson or either the commuter with North or south of Boston is spectacular at the various times of the year there. Anyway I truly enjoyed the video and the trains. I remember the contractor to the MBTA commuter was the B&M railroad company back in the early 80s. Anyway thank you. 👋🥸

    Hang on, the first clip is a reversed set and it's NOT a test extra? I know that sometimes tests get inverted, but what's 1116 doing on the north end of the train? She was facing inbound on the Flyer opening weekend, but that's just consequential.

    So if someone is travelling from Maine to NYC on Amtrak they have to take the subway down to this station or Back Bay to connect to get down to NYC?

      @chris928901 Před 5 lety +2

      Tallica 4Life Yes, that’s correct. You can also walk from North to South station in almost a straight shot but it’s about a half hour walk if you do it conservatively

    Why are the new locomotives so dirty already?

    • @NYTrainzchaser
      @NYTrainzchaser  Před 7 lety +9

      When they run them inbound, the exhaust blows back over the cab and makes them extremely dirty.

    • @bradythomas2136
      @bradythomas2136 Před 5 lety +1

      because thats how they were made

    • @bradythomas2136
      @bradythomas2136 Před 5 lety +2

      also because they enter enclosed stations and the locos are exposed to muchly to smoke and steam produced by locomotives
