- The Florida United Numismatists (FUN) was back for their Summer Coin Show here in Orlando Florida at the Orange County Convention Center. This coin show is always a bit smaller, and our friends at The Elongated Collectors (TEC) Club won't be there. However there was still plenty of things to see and do. In this video we walk then entire show floor checking out all the vendors and club tables while keeping an eye out for some elongated coins.

Thanks for taking us to the show! I hope to come down next year.
I think you'll really enjoy it. Lots to see and do!
Last time i went was 10 years ago and I acquired the 1932 D quarter it was a lot of fun though those rolled coins are really cool thanks for sharing your experience
It's really amazing what you can find at these shows!
Had fun there as well. Picked up some proto currency for my collection and had fun letting my son fill up some of his Lincoln cent albums.
That's fantastic. I usually bring my daughters and they come away with plenty of items for their own little collections. Some of the clubs and vendors are really good with the kids in trying to get them interested in the hobby.
I enjoyed the coin show. I was finally able to finish my Buffalo nickel collection. As for coin shows in general, my biggest pet peeve is when dealers don't have prices on their coins. I don't want to have to ask, "How much is that? How much is that one? How much is that?"
That's fantastic I'm happy to hear you were able to finish off that collection. I'm sure that was quite a project to complete. I do agree with you about the absent prices. There were a few I had inquired about and the people working the table were all conversing with each other before coming back with the price which is definitely an inconvenience.
Kind of a nerd thing. People used to collect coins way back in the 1950s. I never had the will power to save coins when I was a kid because the coin could have bought something useful like a soda and candy bar. 😂
You might try coming to one of the Baltimore shows--always seemed to have elongated coins for sale somewhere--been there several years--great show if you can make it.
Thank you for the info. I would love to visit some other shows around the country. I'll have to keep Baltimore in mind.
Fun
Cool video. 👍
Thank you!!
Awesome video looks like a awesome coin show 🎉🎉
Thanks for checking it out. The FUN shows are always a good time and so much to see.
Lots to see at the show, glad you was able to pick up a couple of elongated pennies 😊
Great stuff DCT 👍🏻
I always kind of forget that elongated coins are a very small niche. When I visit the shows I assume I'll be able to find a whole bunch but that unfortunately it not always the case. But I was happy to find a couple and give them a good home.
Thanks really enjoyed I've never been to a coin show can't wait till my first 😀
They can be a bit overwhelming at first with so many vendors, but I always say just take your time and enjoy. There is always a lot to see and do.
Dang it! If I had known, I’d attend! Maybe if it comes to Orlando again I’ll attend.
The next FUN Show will be their winter edition an it runs January 9-12th, 2025 back in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center. Admission if free, and the winter version is a much larger show. Hope to see you there!
Looks like a cool show!
The FUN shows are always a great time.
What date was this?
It was July 11-13th, 2024 in Orlando. The next FUN coin show will be their Winter edition January 9-12th, 2025 also in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center.
just novelty items, worth nothing
Value isn’t always monetary. Collectors can collect anything they like. Whether it’s a 1804 Bust Quarter or a pressed penny, it’s all about collecting and enjoying a hobby.
