I love how great unifying puzzles are. Most require no language and can be enjoyed by so many people regardless of understanding of the original language.

The solution doesn’t look like sailboats or at least I don’t see any. Possibly a different solution? Either way great video. I definitely want to see you solve any puzzles you own.
That's a misdirection to make the puzzle a little more demanding. Also that all pieces can fit into the corners.
Those ideas hold you for a while until you start thinking outside the box again.
Only the four pieces each being the exact same shape points to a symmetry.
This is a major trait of good puzzles - the solution must be easy to see but hard to find.
Cool puzzle and that will be nice if you can solve the Latin Square (6x6x6).
For those not understanding: the white shapes are 4 white sails, the red ones are 4 boats. Is not the name of the ending figure!

I'm kind of curious about one thing in your video. At the 5:41 mark of your video if you had moved the sail pieces slightly so they were on an angle and touching the curved corners of the other boats would they have dropped into place?

I've been at the Merriam Webster page for the definition of 'packing' for the past 5 minutes listening how to pronounce audio again and again. It sounds exactly like the old way you said it which is exactly the way I've said it for decades. Now I'm just confused.

I wonder if it's a British English vs American English thing. I'm American, and I definitely pronounce it like the first version (the old way) of his. Packing, with the same vowel as in apple, map, or hat.
I hear a difference. To me his old pronunciation was 'pecking'. He then went for 'packing', and one time stressed/overcorrected to 'paacking'.
Depending on one's dialect, you may not distinguish 'packing' and 'pecking', but this is done in British (Queen's) English.
@@chalichaligha3234 It's not a merger we're talking about here, but a vowel shift. In my English, we also distinguish between packing and pecking, but his old version sounds like "packing" and his new version sounds like "pahking" to me. Neither sounds like "pecking" to me

idk who told you you're pronouncing "packing" wrong but the way you pronounced it originally is how I pronounce it but maybe its because I'm from Wisconsin and I say "bay-guhl" to say bagle

@@lukostello - I listened a few more times, and now I think you are correct. I don't really understand what was the original problem with the pronunciation. In English the word "packing" (pack) really only has one way of being spoken, since pack rhymes with crack, back and sack.

@@johncoops6897 i think he might have and just didn't say anything. if he didn't notice it's probably because in Germany you don't see that symbol anywhere and it's strictly forbidden to use it or to glorify those people. if you live in America for instance it's not forbidden and it's something you do see now and then.

Don't let people give you shit about your accent I think it's wonderful and smarter than most people including me for being able to learn a new language. Hell your probably smarter than most of the population because you're so good at these puzzles some of them you'd never think that be the solution but you figured it out.
Just need to be careful not to over extend the 'a' in packing, or it ends up sounding like parking. The way you pronounced the 'a' in the word 'Latin' at 9:40 is what you want to be aiming for. Needless to say your English is way better than I'm capable of in any other language.
