  • Is Qinwen Zheng the New Chinese Tennis SENSATION?
    At the 2024 Australian Open, Qinwen Zheng reached her first Grand Slam final, only topped by an unstoppable Aryna Sabalenka. But that's not all - Zheng didn't just make waves in Melbourne; she also celebrated her breakthrough by clinching her first two singles titles in tennis back in 2023, marking her arrival on the global stage. Zheng's promising results have led to comparisons to Li Na, the only Chinese player to ever win a Grand Slam.

    The sad part of the story is when her previous coach left her to work again with Osaka. Not sure the why the guy left was the nicest way, quite nasty from his side...

      Tim Wisette is the guy, yeah, not really fair play from his side, Qin is too nice for such a person. Let's go Qin!

      I find this quite a sad story, not a funny one, not sure about you guys?!

      Tim was not fair, maybe Zheng needed to have a better contract with the guy, just sayin'

    Zheng is good mostly on hard courts, maybe she'll grab some more important throphies in the coming months...

      I'd say she can do well on clay as well, but she's not spectacular, of course

      Guess we gonna find out in the Middle East and at the Sunshine Double tournaments...

      She's actually trained mostly on clay courts in Barcelona, not on hardcourts. Her very heavy topspin forehand and backhand are really formidable on clay more so than on hardcourts, even though she can flatten her groundstrokes when she plays on hardcourts. Her serve on the other hand will be more dangerous on hardcourts

    Can't really tell what's her trademark move. Is that her serve?

    • @user-te9rw8ev4l
      @user-te9rw8ev4l Před 4 měsíci

      that's it, yeah. But she's got nice movement on the court as well

    • @thomasmn9965
      @thomasmn9965 Před 4 měsíci

      Her forehand is actually the heaviest among all the WTA players, with more topspin than any other players, and is among the fastest too.

    She is emotionless the equal of Rybakina. Literally everyone is talking about how emotionless & cold she is. But nobody is talking about how emotionless Zheng is probably because of asian stereotypes?

    • @TennisExtra1
      @TennisExtra1  Před 4 měsíci

      Emotions are like tennis serves - some players have a killer backhand while others play it cool.
