His earliest possibility for release if he doesn't complete the total 35 year and 10 month sentence is after serving two thirds of that time, at which point he'll be eligible to apply for parole. And if that works out for him, he'll spend the first six years of his release watched closely by the authorities. But we're not even at the halfway point now of those two thirds of his sentence. Regardless of how it turns out, I imagine he'll be less safe out of prison than any families with children who he might live near, after what he did. He'll still be universally hated and even wanted dead by some people. And his high profile won't make it easy to avoid that.
