  • This is my second Casablanca Zephyr and the first ever variable speed ceiling fan in my collection. This fan dates to July of 1981. It is black with polished brass accents. The blades have the Casablanca logo on the tip. I never had the chance to flip them over. It uses Slumber Quiet (potentiometer) for variable speed. I know it is not a reliable system but this one it seems to be fully functional even though the fan is in its 40s. This takes my Litex Ellington Deluxe's title of oldest fan in my collection. Since it is from 1981, the original hang tru was recalled so I used the bracket from my Litex Ellington Deluxe and the canopy off my Harbor Breeze Builder's Best. It has some serious power and a lot of wobble due to the mounting I am using and the rig's structure. RPM estimates are approximately 30-200. This was a marketplace listing I almost got for free but I decided to pay the seller what they originally asked for which was only $20. Sequence is Fan-Light-Light and Fan-off.
