- Inside of Castle Krake, our heroes discover skullduggery - Red Skullduggery. The crimson creep has surprises a-plenty up his sleeve. Not only has he recovered the Tesseract from the Hydra Stomper armor, he's retrieved the armor itself, as well as the tiny kid from Brooklyn that once piloted it. He opens a portal, summoning a Lovecraftian horror from beyond the veil of existence to bring about Hydra's reign of terror. The terrible beastie has more than a little in common with the classic Marvel monster Shuma-Gorath, minus the giant eye and with the addition of a "Stranger Things"-style Demogorgon mouth at the center of its writhing self.But as has often been said, he who lives by the unspeakable cephalopod abomination must also die by the unspeakable cephalopod abomination, and the Red Skull gets smeared into a Red Paste, hoisted by his own extradimensional tentacle. Stark does like a good sci-fi super scientist is supposed to do and hits some buttons, trying to reverse the polarity hard enough to make the rapidly-expanding squid bits go back to where they came from, but to no avail. Steve Rogers, now rescued and back in his jury rigged, patch-job-powered armor, runs out of juice before he can make much of an impact. The only solution to the tentacle problem is for Captain Carter to personally shove the eldritch horror back from whence it came. She disappears into the unknown, promising Steve a dance on her way out. Everything fades to black. Marvel Studios' What if...?. #Captainamerica, #captaincarter, #whatif, #mcu.

2:30 I like this concept. It gives not only Carter a way to shine, Union Jack an alias that people would actually prefer, and Steve a way to show his heroism in a universe where he gains no powers. While he doesn't have the intellect, he's a man clad in iron with a heart of gold. I think that means something.

No-one talks about the oddest power the super soldier serum grants - superpowered mental geometry and physics calculating skills.
Steve/Peggy can subconsciously figure out the perfect angle to throw the shield to make it bounce off ancient Roman concrete (had a different density because it was made with volcanic ash) at a 45 degree angle and smack someone hiding behind a pillar and bounce back to Steve/Peggy. And off a person, drywall, and a 3 decades old brick bridge with severe weather erosion, and anything else.
It's even more impressive when Bullseye does it though, because he does it with anything, not just a shield.
He has to figure out how to throw knives, shoot bullets, or toss an art pencil that has been sharpened twice and the eraser is half used at the right angle to bounce off a mirror and embed itself in someone's eye.
Love how Red Skull is built up to be that über-scary villain like he was in the movie but then Cthulhu over here takes him out like a punk.
Be careful for what you wish for, Red Skull. Or else you might get it.

Y'know this makes more sense than Steve not jumping of the plane before impact. Carter actually had a somewhat valid reason for disappearing with the....thing.
Steve had a perfectly good reason. He was crashing the plane.
If he wanted to jump, he would have to find an exit, and the autopilot might kick in again. Better to "jump on the grenade" and save New York instead of trying something riskier.
And the safest place to be in a plane crash is usually *inside the plane* . Which actually worked.
I always argue about how that shield is inconsistent.
There's no way in hell you can throw that frisbee that makes it either bounce or slice through with the same trajectory.
In the Comics it says that Steve has the ability to calculate the exact trayectory and therefore the exact force necessary to bounce or slash ( sorry for my english im not a speaker)

@@Pro_Butcher_Amateur_Human my doubt-fueling scene is when Cap threw it at Batroc (who I believe is just a human soldier) and the shield went through a glass shield and got stuck on a metallic wall.
I was expecting to see Hive from Agents of Shield, not a Chuthulu

The serum didn’t work as well for Skull as it did for Carter and Rogers

what if boar had absorbing man powers? if got loki and loki granted god like powers that mean they come a god right? boar hite things head like ram. so touch realy hard make hite hard. then what if gravitone that gave graviton his powers odion invention. what used to make things fly? asgurdain ships and hammers and other things. way odions powers gited another avenger enemy. graviton killed everyone els but guy became bad guy had neck lace that said odion on it in asgurdain.
Disney finally making a great woman hero figure after mulan. They managed to save Rey by bravely regoing to the original plan of her being a palpatine, captain marvel by giving her reasons to be petty and emotionally dry, but mulan and carter, steve rogers are just great.

In theory yes. In practice no. The serum enhances everything about you. Including what's inside your heart. While she was good and became great. Steve was brave, selfless, had humility, and was willing to do what was necessary to complete the mission. All before the serum. It's what made him worthy
@@Phantom9000000 Yup, Carter would be fine at first, but we saw her jealous streak in the movie, and if this Peggy has even a hint of that jealousness, the serum would amplify that to potentially dangerous levels, even if it is just a misunderstanding like in the movie.
