I really love the chemistry that Watanabe/Higashino have...they look so comfortable playing with each other and seldom ever get upset with each other. Even in the matches they lose, you can see them always encouraging each other. Everyone should model their attitudes after them! CONGRATS to the back to back ALL ENGLAND CHAMPIONS!

I knew Higashino could still improve a lot and she prove it in this tournament. This Japanese pair will be the pair to beat in the next 3 years, and with Watanabe has stopped playing Men Doubles, they can totally focus on mixed D and become the new legend, I have faith in them.

Yuta Watanabe is amazing, but Higashino is the star for this match.. She is extremely fast and furious
Honestly, she did good, but that should be expected of her. Among the top 4 XD pairs, higashino is literally always the weakest link.... look at dongping and HYQ, they literally play like men.
So, for higashino to perform like this is what should be expected.
Remarkable game and pure pleasure to watch my two fav pairs. My heart dropped down and bounced back so many times. Higashino was the ⭐ of the day. Great spirits all four of them. It's important for us as audience to enjoy the game but to me, it's even more important that the players can enjoy themselves playing it. And as I saw today, they did.
Higashino net play and defensive improvement are the keys today. Such a wonderful and intense match.

Arias higashino’s defence really improved in 3 months. She was very fast on net and her jump smashes as usual was very good. She was the MVP of final. Yuta won 5th All England in total. That’s unbelievable.

Idk how Watanabe/Higashino, esp. Higashino, can always turn to a beast mode when it comes to All England Open. They usually have difficulties and have lost many times to the two Chinese pairs in other tournaments, but not at the All England.

Hawkeye seems really untrustworthy of late. If you look at YW's shot at 22:08, no way that is that far out.
It honestly looks like it clipped the edge...and Hawkeye has been wrong many times in the past!

Looked a lot closer than the hawkeye image. Great rally that deserved a brilliant winner. I'm glad this decision didn't make the game result change though. What an amazing final.

He had done it at least 2 times I think.
It doesn't have much affect on the game or whatever

Yuta focusing on MX must be a big factor of that improvement since his smashes are sharp and strong.
Attack variation, speed and coordination is what set them apart.

I think Hawkeye needs an upgrade! 🤣 Freeze the frame at about 22:08, and it's nowhere NEAR that far out. Even when the shuttle bounces up, it's further in before it falls outside. Good game.

True I kept replaying it and pausing and it was very hard to call but it looked like it grazed the line...as Gill said would've been the shot of the tournament..

Hawkeye is such an overspec'd yet inaccurate system because it uses sophisticated technology to produce 'predictions'. They should just resort to high quality slow motion cameras and it would be a lot cheaper and a lot more objective.

Gill clark says its wang who is better between him and zheng, because of his ability to play better below the tape. But thats possible because of his height. Wang and zheng both are talented players. But the fact that makes wang more flexible and destructive in the backcourt is huang dong ping. Shes really aggressive in the front,takes most of the shuttles early and above all she has a metalic defence! Shes the best among all the female players in XD.
Is it just me. OR does hawk eye not work very well? 21:45 - 22:17 . no way in hell it was that far out from hawk eye. I even put the playback speed on 0.25 and constant paused to try to get a better picture. And in my eyes that was either IN or hella close at least. And certainly not that far out at least

For those of you who weren’t there in person, an audience, I would say he/she “deliberately” took a photo with flash and it literally messed with the Chinese pair. It isn’t shown in this stream / video. This was between 18-17 to 18-19 in game 2. A lot of people noticed it, but Ive noticed they actually don’t do anything about the flash photographies. The judge just announces it, and someone walks over but nothing is done about it. This person has been take photos with flash throughout the entire finals today, even in Viktor’s finals.
Not sure if this is related to her being called out for misconduct because I wasn’t paying too close of an attention and the judge suddenly announced it.
Thats sad, if thats true, but cant just discredit the players of their victory just because some random bloke tried to interfere one point or 2 during the game,,,, the plAyers gave their all but today, higasgino played very well, and of course as usual, watanabe... all in all, the japanese pair outclassed their chinese counterpart for todays tournament.... and we should not find any excuses as to why the chinese pair lost..

Can't really tell what the misconduct was about but she was very frustrated with her partners shot selection most of the time that got her in trouble..she got hit by the shuttle many time by her partners poor shot selection
