nah a LOT of great music out there - you just gotta actively search for it
what I adore about Goldfrapp is that they have killer singles... and almost no filler on their albums. Crystalline Green', 'Stranger', 'Faux Suede Drifter', 'Tiptoe', 'Deer Stop' and so many more are absolutely great songs - same goes for ''Time out from the World', the whole thing is just MAGICAL!
Masterpiece! How this was not used in a Bond movie is beyond me. When I think of recent Bond themes this really is so much more.

First time I heard it I thought it sounded very John Barry (with the chords I and v, ie major 1 and minor 5). Take 'You Only Live Twice' for example, same first two chords in the intro/chorus. As soon as the strings play that minor v, it screams Barry!
