Your Mom has a lovely headstone, Jeff. A nice peaceful resting place. We lost my Mom back in '75, and at 71 I'm still asking questions, wanting her guidance, feeling that anchor. It's good. Thanks for sharing, Sir. Good memories should be shared....

Both of my parents were cremated, so I don't have any graves to go to. But I admire the fact that you are able to spruce up your mother's final resting place.
Morning Chef! You brought back childhood memories when you were talking about the old church. I remember my great grandmother, aunts and cousins making their “Box” for church anniversary and homecoming services. They would put everything in their boxes before going to church and it would be hours later before eating. The food never made anyone sick.

Good morning when I was coming up my grand parents and family would go out and visit the graves of family members and clean them off put flowers on some come back and then Grand mother would have a barbecue really enjoyed she made the best barbecue chicken and homemade root beer back. Then they called it birch beer. Now the children didn’t get to eat any of the chicken you got a hotdog or hamburger.Yes that was my grandmother L. Williams. People don’t do that too much today as the grave sites

Chef Jeffery, is that strictly a family cemetery for your mom’s side or are non-relatives buried there, too?
My family who live in the country/rural areas have family cemeteries that go back to right after the Civil War (I trace genealogy so this video you posted really is fascinating to me). Thanks for sharing some of your family history with us.
