The original song is a cry by black South Africans asking why are they being killed by white people. Asking what have they done (Senzeni na) my mom used to sing this song at home and you would be emotional.

I dedicate this song to those that fought and died for the freedom I enjoy today. I want them to know that I am grateful 🙏

This reminds me of the apartheid days - we would sing this song in the burial of those who died at the hands of police. Our old church walls know this song very well. Today it's a memory of an unanswered question. Without doubt, Faith in God kept this nation sane through it all.

What a voice from a lead singer
I first learnt this song many years ago outside the South African House in London during the bad days of a cruel system that operated in SA. People did do things to bring light in the darkness, In London a brave and determined group of comrades held a 24-hour 365 365-day ongoing picket outside the embassy of South Africa. I hope that one day there will be no need for protests and we all live as one. Sometimes you can be carried by the music that is born out of oppression yjay you do not need to know all the words, When the soul hears the body follows and so does the mind. I do miss all my Comrades today.
To every soul in South Africa and beyond that fought, wounded and died for the Freedom of South Africa I dedicate this everlasting song.
The power of one funeral scene really emotional moment since watching it as a young man it has played in my head, it's only now I know the meaning.

So beautiful and even more beautiful to see it sung by young South Africans who at the time of Biko would have been divided by unjust laws.
