I have never heard a song give off the heart, soul and energy that Kanye gives off on Through The Wire. The man is a Jedi, one of the greatest artists of all time.
I'll never forget the first time I heard this song. I was 15 and just got home from JV bball practice. I put on MTV and this video came on. It had just been released. First single. Then I bought College Dropout, still one of my favorite albums of all time. I literally wore that CD out! I really miss old Kanye West. He was real.
The reason Kanye is so loved is cause he was our everyman...not a thug, drug dealer or hustler. He was one of us with mega passion. Anyone with drive and willing to risk it all for a dream is Kanye. This is the reason why he is so inspirational and why he influenced artist such as Drake. You don't have to fit into a stereotypical category to be a hiphop artist or anything...you just need drive and unlimited fuel to create your own lane.
Kanye West is LEGENDARY. Those who haven't followed his works and achievements since the very start wouldn't know how big he is. One of the most underated artists of all time.
Now i admit when this album first came out i bootlegged it but i realized how real his music is and straightened up and bought Late Registration and Graduation. Later on to buy College Dropout again, just cause its that good!!!! XD
