It really doesn't have to be in a smartphone, nor small, to be life changing. Artificial noses could very well be the revolution Theranos pretended to be. Put one in every pharmacy and doctor's office and you would just have to take a 15 minutes appointment every 6 months to get "sniffed".
In fact, I'm surprised we're not already training dogs to do just this, at large scale... Prevention through non invasives techniques like this gotta be cheaper than treating patients, I would believe.

I can smell it too, I know my ex husband will have Parkinson’s dementia later in life. For me the musky smell is so strong I could barely even sleep next to him… the pillows, his clothes. You should work with scientists to try to isolate what chemical is triggering that smell. There are robots that can smell (detect chemicals) and if we can build ones that have this ability it will help many people, and could possibly lead to early care that can slow the progression of it.

I can smell ants and when i told my family they didn’t believe me then when i got in college i discussed it with my biology professor who explained ants release a scent for each other to follow. She believed me.
I can also smell something that’s not body odor but an internal odor that can’t be washed away. The smells are distinct but all are foul meaning some people have this foul smell and others have a different foul smell.

I love onions and eat them quite a bit but now I hate them because they have a taste I identify immediately. I tried an energy drink and also immediately tasted that same putrid smell/taste. Then, I had an organic onion just by chance and that nasty taste was gone and the organic onion brought back that taste I once loved. Idk, I think I have something wrong with my body.
