The Seventh National Jazz & Blues Festival 1967

1967, and I was really missing my Victor 16mm movie camera for all these London discoveries - but in this case Super8 Kodachrome just had to do. This footage of the Jazz & Blues Festival at Windsor's Balloon Fields was really to give the family back home in New Zealand an idea of what I was discovering on the other side of the world. Reading my old letters home again today it seems as though I may well have been suffering from a secondary smoke effect: these wafting “grey clouds” could well have been smoke from the burning substances of the beautiful people ... What must the parents have thought!
