I always liked the theory Q is actually G, defeated by Gill in SFV, returning in SF3 as a distorted version of his former self.

@@daison96 3rd strike he says something along the lines of "even I in all of my glory am at a loss, who are you?" And urien has one too where its something like "I could give the the faintest interest of your true identity " but twelve has one which is "it can't be?!" So it's probably something going on behind there back of the leaders which it pretty cool

G is one of the most fun characters to play in Street Fighter V. His whole concept and look is just rad af. Great mechanics.

honestly Necalli should have been made the last boss of the arcade , while he was a pushover story-wise that shouldn't have been an excuse to not make him so, I mean Nagoryuki from Guilty Gear strive wasn't even the main villain in the story mode, that didn't stop him from being the final boss of the arcade for all characters
The final boss would’ve been Happy Chaos but he was dlc before being added to the base game

Street Fighter V should've had two more story modes after "A Shadow Falls."
With G & Kagé as the main antagonists of SFV: Arcade Edition's story, followed up by Gill & Seth for SFV: Champion Edition's story.
I guess the Top Hat Gaming man being the final boss of the game completes the full circle of inception.
I hope Street Fighter 6 give us more details on Q and confirm the theory that he was the alter ego of G the whole time. If the developers have to disconfirm it, they need to do it in a clever way. For examples: Q being an alter ego of someone else obvious or turning out to be an android of different organization.
Capcom has been very lazy with these alphabet characters. No backstory, no details and they just keep introducing them. Without any information. It's getting irritating.

I love G. He is definitely my favorite character from Street Fighter 5 because he has personality, a cool look, awesome moves, and the more we learn about him, the more we want to learn.

We we know G a powerful character I don't know what's he's planning and he won't be in 6.
G and Q and their mysterious backgrounds make them the most interesting and intriguing SF newbies Since the original road warriors IMO
I actually thought that G was captured, tortured, experimented on and transformed into Q by Gill.

Kinda feels like Capcom can't decide whether G or Gill is the main big bad. Heck in the new Street Fighter 6 leaks there's a character named JP who looks like the boss character of that game and he has psycho power. So really the main villain is a mystery.

still think g is the previous leader of the illuminati(especially with how in 6's trailer the image of gill's speech to yun/yang appeared on a building possibly meaning they may become more active/wonder what karin will be doing with how big she was in 5.) before gill took the emperor title.
though it's kinda hard for me to view him as a true villain as while he's definitely unsettling with how he bring every talk back to him wanting to give power to the people and could be ambiguous as to whether he'll help the fighters take on gill,be his own force(possibly the earth's astral projection like what the comics tried to do with necalli despite being even more pathetic.) or be one of the antagonist he feels more well intentioned(with how funny his involvement with rashid & menat is.) than gill who honestly leans more to evil(even gills counterpart jedah feels more closer to neutral than him.).
also while i think he has ties to q(possibly with g starting the "g-project" ibuki was hunting gill for in 3rd strike using q as a living subject or the twelves being used to recreate the world with how gill's 3 ending/rose prediction says the world will be destroyed.) in the cfn it's stated q's still around as he's the reason c. viper's not playable outside cameos as she's hunting him.
So his a final boss who you don't fight as the final boss. Was that dude at Capcom high when he said this. And by the time he reminded what happened; it was too late? Because WTF

I do occasionally, there are episodes on Morrigan, Terry Boggard and Shao Kahn for example.

If SF6 allegedly takes place after Third Strike, does that mean G would appear in the game as Q?
No one really knows if the two are the same person or if they are related at all
I like to think both G and Q are part of some organization or group where each member has a different letter for their name.

G appears to be missing from the leaked SF6. I’m hoping that leak isn’t complete, because leaving G out of SF6 day one seems like a mistake with all the build-up. It’s very disappointing that G isn’t the final boss in most Arcade arcs in the SFV path, and he HAS to have focus and playability upon launch.
G just has to be connected to Q in some way beyond the name theming. There’s just too many similarities. Similar builds, similar abilities and moves…
Totally hope for more lore on G and Q. So much potential to just let go to waste

G is a wild card and the story costume is (wether people like it or not) a connection to his turning point to Q. Capcom is very deliberate and would not have done that if the two characters weren’t the same. Nothing can prove why Q doesn’t have the same powers as G but can be assumed that he either lost the powers due to brainwashing or chooses to hide his abilities so that he can emerge as the villain in a future street fighter game. Personally he gives off Pyron vibes.
A lot of people love Q because of the mystery behind the character and simply don’t want there to be an answer to who he is. If that’s the case then Q should never come back to the street fighter franchise. His story can never be interesting without the chase of his identity.

I thought Super Necalli with the Psycho Power/M.Bison soul absorbed was supposed to be the original final boss for SFV. 🤔 It would have made a lot of sense.

I'm curious how G relates to JP, if he does. I don't think G is secretly the boss of SFV; I think they're teasing that he's the boss of SFVI.

Sweet video. Good stuff as usual but I am kinda shocked that people still question the connection between G and Q. I mean it is very obvious.
And no G is not Q.
When I read articles from "journalist" trying to convince that lie, I'm reminded that they didn't beat the game. In Q's own ending it clearly states that Q isn't a single person, but a collection of agents for an organization [most likely the Illuminate]. Chances are Q was the initial model to what later became the "12" model of fighters (which isn't a single person but a collection of agents). The similarity between G and Q is on purpose-- much like the similarity between Seth and Gill/ Urien. Both G and Seth are allusions to what Q and Gill/ Urien actually are, thus giving them backstory without going deep into it and filling in loose ends in one fell swoop.
And yeah G is (or later will become) the bad guy. Menat, Rose, and Oro's ending straight up tell you that G is the personification of the Psycho Power. Of the three, Oro's ending was smacking us in the face with it.
In SF6 there is a Russian guy that is said to have direct connection to the Psycho Power and he shares G's shape and design. Chances are this is G after his release from Illuminate.
Yes, release because in the trailer revealing G, he is shown facing off against Urien. Whether or not if Urien captured him or G went willingly is not the point, the point is that G was directly sought after and is the template for the G files (which by time of SF3 Gill no longer needs).
I mean it's not rocket science, especially when Capcom shove it in your face.
