I had a dream where I was playing the Sims and there was an orange emoticon, it looked similar to the possessed one but in reality it’s entire body looked toward me and the emotion was “suicidal” and soon later, that sim died by walking into a zombie hoard. I think about that dream everyday.

ik this has been said before but the amount of effort put into the sims games is really outstanding like besides the animations they even had time to create the score for it

Is it just me or does very focused sound like something negative happening? The first time I got it, I thought that someone set off a fire or that something happened to the family cat.
Some ideas for other emotions: Level 3 sad: miserable/inconsolable - sims lose almost all will to do anything and can die from a broken heart if it gets too high Level 2 and 3 dazed: very dazed and stupefied - sims will vomit from dizziness and fall over and be unable to do most things, and become basically comatose in level 3 and can die if not given medical attention, the threshold would be much lower than with other emotions since dazed is a very rare mood Level 3 happy: ecstatic -they become so happy they feel like they've died and gone to heaven (they might!), they may die if it reaches a very large amount Level 3 confident: hubristic - sims will become unbearably confident and get on everyone else's nerves. They will act very obnoxiously unless they have certain traits like Good or Loner. No chance of death but they will be very insufferable to be around Level 3 energised: frenzied - sims cannot stop moving in this state and can die from overexertion Level 3 flirty: lustful - sims are so hot and bothered they are basically in a sexual frenzy. They will refuse to do basically anything that isn't in the romantic category of actions and may hurt themselves from woohooing too hard Level 3 focused: Obsessed - sims that get too focused will have to be physically pulled away from whatever has so much of their attention. I think it's weird that sims never really want to just sit around and do nothing unless they have the lazy trait. Relaxed sims will not want to move around and will become sad, tense or angry when their relaxed state is interrupted by any unwelcome stimuli like work or needing to pee
adding onto the relaxed and possessed thing, starting with relaxed, maybe when the moodlet of very dazed or dazed expires a sim will experience the moodlet popping up (kinda like they’re still recovering from being dazed)? or when energized moodlet expires the relaxed moodlet could also appear, specifically when your sims do something like working out a lot, and want to relax after a good workout kinda thing. sims could also maybe die from being level 3 relaxed, mainly because they might neglect their needs. onto possessed and sources for that popping up, i feel like possessed would be a very rare moodlet to pop up similar to dazed, so i’d imagine it only occurring in situations with ghosts or vampires. like, a ghost possessing a sim, or a vampire making a sim not opposed to having their blood sucked(forgot what the interaction was called). maybe if multiple ghosts possess a sim, or depending on how long they’re possessed for, the moodlet might increase in intensity, and then a death via possession would occur? like, it’s kinda like a body-swap of sorts, where now your sim is dead, and the ghost who’s in your body now is alive again. or maybe both parties are dead now, who knows?

My thoughts on the sounds: very focused sounds very negative Possessed just creeps me out, the sound for it also helps make it sound creepy, same with dazed and bored.

Never. 0:22 my young sims when they have a shower. not sure why. kids think of showers like a chore IRL. (And the rest of us view it as a break or a time to contemplate the meaning of life) 0:26 my sims at the most random times. 0:46 - my children sims when they come home from school (the good ending) 1:47 my children sims when they come home from school (the this-always-happens ending) 1:12 my sims when I make them get engaged, woohoo, get married and then have their first kiss afterwards all in the same day. 1:40 sims 23/7. Seriously. This sound haunts my life. 2:06 my sims when their second-cousin-twice-added-removed’s dog dies.
Mortified and terrified sound semi Stravinsky-like and I appreciate that. Some of them don't change that much from the default. Nothing is as epic as the burglar theme from Sims 2 though.

I’m surprised you’ve never gotten bored or scared, they’re both pretty easy to get. Possessed comes with StrangerVille, and some of the higher-up moodlets (like hysterical) can be pretty annoying to get.

Honestly, I wish ghosts could possess Sims and not only objects. They would get the possessed moodlet and would turn on full autonomy, unable to be controlled. (Like when you can’t do almost anything while you’re sad.)
Holy shit I’ve been playing sims 4 for almost 4 years and I never realized what these random musical cues were supposed to mean. When the “very uncomfortable” one played I thought it meant an NPC died lmao. I always just have so many sims in my households I never really keep track of their moods.

adding onto the relaxed and possessed thing, starting with relaxed, maybe when the moodlet of very dazed or dazed expires a sim will experience the moodlet popping up (kinda like they’re still recovering from being dazed)? or when energized moodlet expires the relaxed moodlet could also appear, specifically when your sims do something like working out a lot, and want to relax after a good workout kinda thing. sims could also maybe die from being level 3 relaxed, mainly because they might neglect their needs.
onto possessed and sources for that popping up, i feel like possessed would be a very rare moodlet to pop up similar to dazed, so i’d imagine it only occurring in situations with ghosts or vampires. like, a ghost possessing a sim, or a vampire making a sim not opposed to having their blood sucked(forgot what the interaction was called). maybe if multiple ghosts possess a sim, or depending on how long they’re possessed for, the moodlet might increase in intensity, and then a death via possession would occur? like, it’s kinda like a body-swap of sorts, where now your sim is dead, and the ghost who’s in your body now is alive again. or maybe both parties are dead now, who knows?
The “tense” sound always makes me think of a tune in a horror film…like when the character is being stalked.

I’m surprised you’ve never gotten bored or scared, they’re both pretty easy to get. Possessed comes with StrangerVille, and some of the higher-up moodlets (like hysterical) can be pretty annoying to get.

Holy shit I’ve been playing sims 4 for almost 4 years and I never realized what these random musical cues were supposed to mean. When the “very uncomfortable” one played I thought it meant an NPC died lmao. I always just have so many sims in my households I never really keep track of their moods.
The sounds that I most identify with are:

Very Uncomfortable
Confortable
Sad
And Very Tense
Uncomfortable and very uncomfortable is Sound that rings my ear every now and then when i play TS4
