I love how his CA is basically Akuma being pissed about his opponent blocking the punch, so he forces his hand through the block anyway but doesn't punch his opponent instead he charges a fireball and blows their face off! as if saying "You should have taken the punch lil boy" It's sick!
I was expecting him to just punch them anyways. Nuking them was a pleasant surprise, and left me quite happy! :D

@@hotox23-56there is no specific super when it kills the opponent. You can hear the difference of the tone in the beginning of the super that it's a CA

It’s great to see so much passion and attention to detail put into this game. As much as a large portion of fighting game fans tend to hyper focus on the competitive side, easter eggs and alternate game modes are what really make a fighting game more than just a combat simulator imo and unfortunately stuff like that tends to be underappreciated.

Gouken for season 2 DLC quit playing Capcom
For those wondering why you'd ever use his CA instead of Raging Demon, since they both cost 3 bars and are only available at low life and Raging Demon (presumably) does more damage, Sip of Calamity will probably combo in situations where Raging Demon can't.
For example, Akuma can combo into Sip of Calamity from Light Tatsu into Heavy DP, whereas Raging Demon will probably whiff in that situation since it only works on grounded opponents.
When you combo with special moves that keep the opponent grounded, like Gohadoken or Adamant Flame, then you'd probably want to cancel into Raging Demon instead of CA, if you can pull it off.
Plus, Raging Demon is a command grab, so they can't block it, wheras CA is a strike that can be blocked.
Raging Demon is also *only* projectile invuln, so you will need Level 3/CA to beat strikes
I wasn't incredibly impressed by his regular 'Sip of Calamity" Level 3, at first glance, but the cinematic CritArt version completely makes up for that. He's awesome looking, overall.

Well Gen is no mere mortal. Not immortal but he might as well be because he has leukemia but pretty much just postpones his own death from a disease that would normally be fatal just in hopes of fighting Akuma and having him finish him off in a fight to the death instead.
It's amazing how they make Akuma look so powerful yet at the same time so like a husk that's struggling to keep itself together, Max was right on that. Also ok that's cool that the KO version of Raging Demon has Akuma speaking so if you think it won't kill but you hear Akuma talking that means it's 100% a KO.
-No air grab from demon flip but demon into air fireball and tatsu gain free OD
-Red fireball is now a lv2 charged fireball
-Ashura Warp can be hit out of but gain command grab
-Raging Demon can be combo into
That's alot of trade off. But I do love how they turned the animation and time needed to activate the red fireball into the charge time instead. I'd say it's a rather efficient change. Not good, not bad, just efficient.
I like how you can actually combo into Demon now, without having to Kara.

@@yourstillwithme Not agreeing or disagreeing with you but that's the price to pay for going competitive. This iteration of raging demon is no longer super fast or invincible or dealing tons of damage. So it's kinda alright to ease up the skill requirement.

I think I can see what actually had happened in the fight between Akuma and Kazuya by looking at Akuma's Critical Art Level 3. Akuma thought he finished Kazuya with that attack and left. Kazuya survived the attack, but it costed him to lose his True Devil Kazuya Form. That's probably why he needed to summon Azazel in order to get his True Devil Form in Tekken 8. 🤔

@@GoldGuard Whether you like it or not, it's not really a mode you go back to once you've finished it, outside of the dlc characters (which take about a half hour to do, generally). So it's still bad that they're focusing so much on it for long term content.

@@ezelalia5739Not really, because of its grab properties, in previous games it simply would not work if you cancelled into it because you can’t grab someone in hitstun generally. That rule seems to be completely gone for SF6’s Demon however, similarly to how Kage in SFV could combo into his Demon.

After seeing Akuma, I know Capcom will do the right thing and put Kage back into SF6 in season 2. Also it fits the narrative in the sense that Ryu abandoned the Satsui no Hado, but now look at him...bottom1 trash getting cooked. Kage/Evil Ryu returning makes perfect sense.
