Any person with simple understanding of religions understands that the last thing you want to do is to choose God based on people as people are sinful and lost. He has another agenda.

@@dreamnathersuck9677 I'm a Christian my friend, after you get saved by repenting of your sins and believing in Jesus that He died for your sins and ROSE FROM THE DEAD and still is living (which no one did) you have a lot of things to do. For example, preaching the gospel to unbelievers. Maybe they don't want to hear about God, but they still had the chance to but ignored Him. Glorifying God by the things you do and living for God (not the world) is one of the works to do as a Christian. I wouldn't say a 'work' but it's a lifestyle that the Holy Spirit helps you to do. I pray that you and anyone seeing this believes and repents under God and start living the righteous path.

When someone slaps you in your face, turn you other cheek towards them. Fighting physically or mocking isnt converting anyone. Since God already has a plan for their life, the right thing to do is pray
how can you guys not understand what this means, it does not mean he doesn't believe nor does he refer to the strength of the culture, he refers to the strength of feeling god is in fact there, he refers to the strength of god's presence. Also you try to separate culture and religion which are two things very close to each other, the islamic religion is englobed inside the culture of the islam and therefor when he says "a strong culture" he refers to a strong religion or a strong faith surrounding these.
Agreed. Both religions have good teachings, its just that for Tate the culture of Islam makes him feel God exists more strongly. Their way of praise and teachings make it seem like God SHOULD be feared, whereas Christianity does the same but in a more forgiving manner. Where God forgives if you repent, making him seem more nonchalant or docile in a way.

In Christianity, culture and religion are completely different things. The Church accepts everyone of all cultures. The only requirement is that you make an effort to turn from your sin and dedicate yourself to following the true God.

It says that in the Quran too what’s crazy is we have the same religion but one of the prophets of Islam has companions that loved him so much and I think something got misunderstood and ppl started taking the prophet as god.If you compare the Bible and Quran a lot of the general ideas are the same. reading the comments i think a lot of people misunderstood rates point. tate didn’t choose to debate why Islam was right but rather focused on why christianity was failing. he brought up a point which wasn’t too critical of christianity as to not get into a debate with the women(don’t know her name) and so he didn’t go into that stuff. people are misinterpreting this as him only belting in islam due to its culture though he only mentioned it to show it’s strength. interestingly in christianity it says to unite in times of struggle like today but they fail to do so while muslims succeed. maybe that was a point tate was also getting at

Nice to see you've concluded that he chose Islam purely because of the people not following Christianity properly. The majority of Muslims aren't following Islam properly nowadays. Otherwise, we wouldn't have been buried by propaganda. But the idea that the religion itself is strong enough to preserve its culture despite the fact people are not following it correctly is something to behold. And aside from that, he was getting to the point that Candace made: that Christians have failed their religion. Also, you're completely disregarding the fact that Andrew has read both the Quran and the Bible, and he made his decision for himself. So instead of trying to throw words at Islam for being wrong, understand that unlike you, that's a person who made a decision after properly looking from both perspectives.
I think Christianity isnt failing, i think the world is failing. Sadly, there isnt such a thing as a true preserved Christian country anymore. We unite in the churches and Christian youth groups where we really feel God's presance, but we just arent in the same position as those preserved Islamic countries. The western world separated countries and cultures as a whole, whilst advertising for "being a country together"

Here’s what I will say. In the Bible, it says we are given free will and Jesus dies for our sins, but that doesn’t give us a free card to do whatever sins. If that is the truth, then evil has taken over and Satan has gained control. God wants us to be good people and forgives sins, but if we keep on sinning knowingly and think that we have a free card from sins, then that displeases God.

I’ve read the book and it wasn’t like I learned anything there I already kinda knew that from life . I grew up with a single mom and 5 siblings my brothers on my dad side grew up rich and traveling and doing what they want . There’s a level of they could never beat me if a fight if they tried and they are all older and just overall toughness it’s way diff I can do pretty much anything and not complain they have to be in perfect circumstances I can be sleeping on a floor

In Islam we believe in balance, we fear punishment but we have hope that God (Allah) will have mercy upon us. Too much fear will destroy you, as would excessive hope and joy.

It is forbidden to be racist to a person due to cultural/religous reasons. If you actually do research, you will see islam lets jewish and Christian people live there. I lived in Jordan a few years ago and I had a christian friend as a neighbor. Never did they complain nor kill or torture them due to religion. Look, I am a Christian, he is right that we all live in a fallen world, even the most righteous places on earth are in a fallen world. God didn’t create the world this way but Adam and Eve sinned and made it into the world that it is today. So he is right that we all live in a sinful place, but I believe that Christian’s like myself are trying to make the world ready for Jesus to come back and bring us into a perfect world without sin.
