- I've had a few companies offer me free Products for review, some I have turned down, some I have accepted. Got some nice Boots from Brunt and a cool mini Chainsaw from Taranzy. What do you guys think? If I take on some of these Partnerships and Affiliate Marketing programs for Products I would probably use myself, does that make me a sellout? Would you guys think less of me? Let's talk about it😊

There is nothing wrong with getting an affiliation. When companies reach out to you, it is because you are doing something right. I will not fault you for your decision.

I have a small channel so far with just over 500 subs and I try to feature mainly saws and logging which are how I make my living and I dont think most people realize how hard it is to fit these vids in my 60 to 70 hour work week. I feel what you are saying! I think where we should draw the line is making false claims about products for people. As long as its honest reviews I can dig it!

Nice!! That's awesome that companies are approaching you. The only problems I've ever had with this sort of thing is a couple bigger youtubers have got defensive in the comment section with some opinions being voiced of the products they were showcasing. Those guys were definetly sellouts! Then there are guys who claim they've paid for a product themselves but are clearly getting paid to promote it.

perks for all the work you do , use them for a bit, if you find them to be good put a shoutout on your channel , nothing wrong with being compensated for all the time spent, those calling sellout need to get on patron and put there money where there mouth is, as for me love the vids you spend time to make, and all the interesting old stuff you collect and rebuild

Nothing wrong with it at all. I do it right now and make more money off that then I do on YT vids.
I just do Amazon links and mostly just chainsaw/side by side parts and I only post the links if I tried them and they work good. Anazon accociates its called.
The cool thing about it is if somebody clicks on your link but finds a cheaper or different product you still make commission on that plus anything else they buy while they are shopping.
If you watch YT vids lots of big creators make more off links than the videos themselves so having both is nice.
I love experimenting and testing products on my own anyway so if someone offered things like they have to you i’d be all over that.
I think people don’t like it when you make a video about chainsaws then in the middle of the vid you start promoting some online scheme to make money. I think that’s more of what annoys people but if you are promoting things like tiny saws,paint pr anything else related to your channel it should be good.
As for t-shirts they have that “Tea Spring” ( I think it has a diff name now) anyway you build a T-shirt with your ideas and zero cost to you then you have a store with a bunch of shirts and when people buy they build the shirt and send it etc so you do nothing but design shirts online and collect your money from sales which are really high margins compared to affiliate marketing.

Nothing to be ashamed about. 75% the people that complain aren’t even subscribers to a channel! They just pop in to flex some of their internet muscles and you never see them again.
