with this I can finally become a brazilian arms dealer
This is a very good idea if you're a big country and have a lot of civilians but have a big deficit the only problem getting equipment from the countries is that their non-aligned or democratic and you're probably non-aligned fascist or communist
Exactly.
@@404killer and also together for victory already has a request equipment feature so there's only one point for it which is if you don't have together for victory or you really don't have political power
Authoritarian nations being terrible at international trade is historically accurate.
That's exactly the idea.
Seems like america is gonna dominate the market and become more OP
I'm honestly so sad that you can't sell ships other than convoys. I would really like to sell my old pre-dreadnoughts to a minor nation as germany, or buy more screens for example.
AI woud probably end up selling their most modern carriers, you know, knowing how ba the AI is at its own game
they could just disable ai doing it, like what they did with the "become spy master" or steal navy@@simpli_histori
There'll probably be a mod for it
Maybe there will be ^^ @@ashyahardan
That's due to how they designed the ships system makes it harder to do this stuff.
Very interesting feature, looking forward to being a gun dealer 😎 I was just hoping that we could set custom price
No ships on the market, very interesting indeed. I predict 15 guns from liberia as the only avalaible
@@SlyCrow a shame really, wish we could arm our Allie’s with warships as the US
@@SlyCrow It seems like it's just going to be like licenses in single player - useless. Maybe useful for large nations with plenty of civs to spare like some others have said but really all you're doing when you buy something from the market is just trading a civ for a mil temporarily.
My god. Imagine a Mod like TNO implementing this Intl Market in their mod.
TNO used to have a market but they removed it for performance. Hopefully they add it back in with an official one being released, building good units as a non-superpower is so difficult in TNO
would propably take weeks to add and make it work but i would wait months just for this
brittany black market is reborn
They will
They are actually currently working on Implementing it with early access for a Day 1 release!
Time to play as the uk and just give everyone guns
I’m on same wave length (guns for tank)
GUNS!?
YOU GET A GUN, YOU GET A GUN, EVERYBODY GETS A GUN
I gotta make this meme now@@temblorjamesronald9427
@@HeartsOfIronOfficialmake the meme
"Here have some weapons"
Finally a place to dump off my trains that I refuse to take off my production line.
India could use them. They start off in need. China could use them too. No factories available for such a luxury.
And that's what I like to call war profiteering, very nice
Finally! Hoi 4 Added Arms Convention
This makes far more sense for when a smaller nation needing to get your hands on some Armour or decent planes and also getting rid of old stock when your a larger country
Perfect for those thousands of austrian guns I get after the anschluss that never end up getting used for the entire game
Dont you send to italyy ??
@@calakask5485 But then they'd become a liability for the whole game
@@moishesdeluxeshekelshack8576 if you provide air support to italy they can handle it.
Glad they took inspiration from the international market mods, one of the most helpful for low-industry countries. Can't wait to try it out.
Will Czechoslovakia get some changes to some of their focuses with the new DLC? Seeing as they have some about selling arms, would be interesting to see that like them being able to sell them to more countries or even an open market
No changes are coming in this update. But feel free to throw in some suggestions and we might be able to have a look for a free patch! forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/hearts-of-iron-iv-suggestions.953/
//Katten
God I can't wait for this! Looks good!
this is gonna be interesting to see in mp
Itl be very interesting to see how the meta changes ^^
//Katten
Aside from larp games, it won't be useful in serious MP games imo
@@BobbiusRossius The construction speed will be very useful
@@LT_Silver Its not useful in serious mp games because
1. AI nations are removed for performance, so no one will buy the equipment
2. Civ boosting is already a thing
3. Selling to your allies is stupid because just lend lease them lmao
I say it would be useful for Nations who don't have the industry to produce tanks
Very exciting!
So I can't sell my Yamato for an equivalent of all South American factories?
Unfortunately no
You guys are amazing! Thank you for keeping this game so strong.
can't wait for the Iran-Contra mod
very good feature
Nice amount of deliveries there.
Nice feature
this is a good update i llike it a lot
Finally, arms trade update
i'd love to see a meta in MP historic games where sweden becomes a country where you can gravitate towards either the axis or the allies and sell high quality equipment to both sides for civs, it seems like a fun idea that would add more fresh metas and content to historical mp games
this dijon guy is very smart and inspiring
He is indeed!
thanks dillan
I sure hope the AI doesn't drop ridiculous sums of its precious stockpilesmid war on the market.
if you read the dev diaries they've talked about this, they've really made sure the ai doesn't use it like a complete retard
We have done extensive work on the AI for this, so itl work really well!
//Katten
Awesome
You guys think civilian factory only would be possible by buying all the equipment you need/can get your hands on?
America Players going full Capitalist
Great system, however I am quite sad that you can't buy/sell any ships other than convoys. Considering that many nations actually purchased their navy rather than make it themselves, this wouldn't be unhistorical.
I cant wait to play as Norway, take 1 look at the focus tree, get confused as fuck, try and figre out the delivery system, buy loads of submarines and add them to the navy idk how to use, then realise that its 1939 and Germany is on my ass as soon as im about to actually do somthing good on the new focus tree. I LOVEEEE HOI4
Will this be in an update for the base game or is it added through the DLC?
FINALLY! No more train deficits!
Game changing feature
So i can become an arms dealer. Awesome
Finally i can play as switzerland international arms dealer
Agreed the Swiss are gun running now.
Secretly growing your military and then striking when everyone is weak
This is going to be op in pvp
3:21 nice amount of deliveries
Lord of Arms against Tyranny
Now that is a clever pun ;)
//Katten
this reminds me hoi2. good old days :)
can't wait to see this system implied in kaiserreich mod
They are currently working on implementing it for a Day 1 release!
//Katten
Germany early game could now build more tanks and planes and import guns
Interesting.
Does selling arms only applied on menu wise? For example if I sold P-40 Warhawks to UK will they be default plane model for UK or will it be the new model?
Is there an update to the in game tutorial that includes the new content?
Should enable the option to sell ships, maybe limit the amount you can buy to the amount of dockyards or ports you own for balance.
Nice
Thanks for adding a feature that Millennium Dawn has had for all this time
It's way better here than in MD, in md only a few countries sell equipment. But that money goes nowhere, the countries won't get the money, and they won't even need to produce said equipment to sell, they have infinite stockpiles
While playing as these nations you can't even sell anything
This system is much better
here comes the money
Really nice if you're playing a country like China. No need to research armour or planes, just get cheap ones in the market.
What would be nice is some option to automatically put on market foreign equipment. All of it, all the time.
With these new diplomacy and trading systems is there a possibility for HOI4 to turn more towards politics, internal and external issues as well as international relations?
They said that to simulate an actual economy system in the game is impossible due to the game simply being too short
@@SPIKE-ym2uq Possibly something for the Road To 56 team to implement.
@@SPIKE-ym2uq TNO managed to do a simplified version of an economy.
Paradox could potentially do a slightly more indepth version of that?
@@historyman9436TNOs economy is garbage, its just an annoyance that barely makes any sense. I'm more than fine with hoi4 not having a economic system since its a game focused on ww2 combat not economy, just play vic 2 or 3 if you want an economy
@@historyman9436tno also takes place over 20~ years vs 9 at most for base game
this is what a tutorial is supposed to look like
Can’t wait to see how this affects mods like road to 56 & last stand
Road to 56 are currently working on implementing it with early access!
//Katten
What’s gonna happen with lend leases after this comes out are they still gonna have a use or are they getting swapped out
does this DLC also work for millennium dawn?
Is possible to raid it from navy mision?
I hope this system can be modded to use other currencies, so that the guys in Millennium Dawn can adapt it.
Finally I could play as Koko Hekmatyar 😎
Finally
Finna gonna start the game as Poland with +10k infantry equipment
Can’t wait to play, I just want to know what will make the ai more willing to purchase it? Will it be once they are in the negative number of equipment or if they “think” the deal is cheap enough? Also if you go to war with a country whom you have a deal with, will it auto cancel the deal or will it keep going until you cancel it?
It would be funny if you go to war with a nation whom your selling to, and take part of their industry while giving them cheap and outdated crap
You should check out our Tech DD where we went into detail on International Market AI!

What about the lend lease?
I have been playing HOI4 for so long yet I still don't understand what the Industrial Capacity is.
Wish i could sell the Yamato to Luxembourg.
My Stellaris MegaCorp isde is acting up.
So now we have to figure out how the hell IC works like in hoi3
it's really simple though? 1 factory outputs X IC depending on bonuses
Finally this is a thing. Now we just need the ability to split factories for minor nations.
We can sell only convoys?
Is it possible to sell warships in future?
Currently we have no plans to add that.
//Katten
It would be broken, make a fuck ton of subs and sell them for free civs
Time to become an arms trading empire as America
will the non-intervention pact in the Spanish Civil War prevent arms sales to the republic or the nationalists?
does this new market mean that there will be no more land lease? or do you keep them in the game?
At 1:09 you can see that the "Start Lend Lease" button still exists. So I am guessing they won't take it away. After all Lend-Lease is like donating weapons to a country, rather than selling it.
Lend lease is technically free of charge. At 1:10 you can see the option to request and send lend lease is still available.
Lend Lease is still in the game!
//Katten
Can you buy or sell ships or is it just convoys?
Only convoys. :)
@@HeartsOfIronOfficialThis makes me sad. I have so many old ships I have no use for, which are just wasting my fuel.
Can you also make so that i can filter it by faction. In case i want to support a faction by buying their stuff?
What about countries which can gain purchasing desicions like Bulgaria
I'm guessing some Vic 3 devs have been moved around
No developers from Victoria 3 has been moved to Hearts of Iron IV. :)
//Katten
If youre Land locked you cannot buy and sell? Why not add trains instead of convoys?
Can't wait for spiffing brit to break the market exploit.
YAAAY
Will the purchase of new weapons have an impact on research (reverse engineering)?
Currently, no.
//Katten
This could be good for AI sov
Kinda sad you can’t buy/sell ships since many minor nations buy ships from other countries or have their own ships constructed there
3:26 2070 days for the delivery of 1580 small arms, that's just fucked up.
amazon update achieved
I cannot imagine this being balanced.
My thoughts exactly. Unlimited equipment exploits will most probably be a thing immediately.
Can't wait for Antasil, Hatlesspider, Feedback, etc to have field days with this lmao
We will do our utmost best to balance it, and will release patches after the release to take all the feedback from you playing it to perfect it. :)
//Katten
I saw 3D models made for America in this dlc, were they cancelled?
They were not! They are apart of the Special Forces feature.
//Katten
Imagine you're Turkey and you buy tanks from the USSR, then sell them to Germany. The Wehrmacht storms Moscow with its T-34s.
outdated equipment toggle for aircraft deployment please
Why did you make Zara with a majority Italian population an occupied territory with resistance and South Tyrol with a majority German population and notable historic resistance movements a core state? Should be the other way around
This game is more than a simulation!! ❤
Its a Matrix!
i hope xou can sell ships and not only convoys
In this update, that will not be in. But like anything, It doesnt lock the door forever.
//Katten
Bet youtubers will come out with "no producing, only buying" challenges
I am sure they will!
//Katten
damn this is actually a nice feature for once, hopefully the ai actually buys ur shit
We have done extensive work on it for this feature! So itl actually buy and sell properly
What is industrial capacity??
What happens when a nation has a civil war will there be two of the same nation in the market
I hope 69 deliveries doesn't also take 69 months like the old system. It takes forever to transfer any appreciable quantity
he literally says you can commit more CVs if you want to speed it up
Soviets buffed to oblivion 👍
