@@anas8682 Noémie's delivery has better technique/skill witha good personal timbre but Geike's depth on her interpretation is way difficult to reach, and the years only have improve it on her. She could whisper the supermarket list with no vocal acrobatics and could make someone shivers.

You people will never really get what was Hooverphonic when Geike was there for 11 yrs and 6 albuns before Noemie. Yeah... 6 albuns!

Because seems to me that some few people, probably the ones that got to know the band after 2008, doesn't know or ever cared to know that Geike was there before anyone else that replaced her, and doesn't matter how great Noemie or Luka can be, Geike's importance to the group cannot be ignored and neither be replaced. Every different singer that has contributed to the band has their own importance, but along with the talents of Alex Callier and Raymond Geerts, Geike is a very important part of the success they've achieved. 11 years working together is a lifetime, a lot of bands doesn't last half of that. Geike got into the band when she was 17, it was necessary for her to leave at that time, otherwise she would still be there. So her comeback is meaningful, and it kind of reminds me when Skye made her return to Morcheeba. It's nonsense these people make comments as if Geike is "stealing" someone's place when it's obvious now that the place was there for her all that time, only waiting for a future decision. It's kind of disrespectful for her and for the band's bio. For example... How can someone make negative comments about Mad About You 2020 or attribute its success to Noemie when one of the band's most classic tracks is originally performed by Geike? Or a recent comment about an old live performance and the person asking "what happened to the other singer?", probably refering to Noemie or Luka. It's crazy. It's like ignoring that 2Wicky is performed by Liesje Sadonius on their debut, something that people who knows the band since the beginning or care about their story would never do no matter how great Geike or Noemie could perform it. People are free to have their own preference, but they should be more respectful when publicly doing that due a decision the band now felt comfortable to take and also leads them back to their most iconic formation. A long time waited reunion that none of their fanbase expected. And as a die hard fan of Geike as you said, I think you will understand my point. Nice to read your comment though. I 100% agree with you.
