      Thanks for the nice words! Abu Dhabi had even some more attractions such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Louvre, Yas Waterworld, ........ we didn't have time to visit all of that, so we'll have to go back for the rest ;-)
      I see you had a great time in the Philippines! This is still on our travel list. Maybe this year. ;-)

      Hmm... hard to get a feeling for the size, when I watch your video. Mine has the height of the birthday card, so probably around 15 cm - you also got the same card. :-D

      I received your question on the different rooms, but either you or CZcams deleted it unfortunately :-(
      "GaJaDreams com i go in 2 weeks there and i am not sure which room categorie i should book, i am just Hilton Gold Member and i am not sure if i will get upgrade to a Level 45 room, i think about 3 options No1 take KING GRAND PREMIER ROOM WITH SEA VIEW and see if i get upgrade to LEVEL 45 room No2 take KING CLUB ROOM - LEVEL 45 and see if i get upgrade to KING JUNIOR SUITE - LEVEL 45 (which looks like Grand Premier room) No3 take KING JUNIOR SUITE - LEVEL 45 and hope for an cheap payed upgrade to ETIHAD SUITE - LEVEL 45 not sure what to do 😅😭 do you have any advice?"
      The general policy is that NOBODY will be upgraded to a Level 45 room. The concept is similar as in the Waldorf Astorias where they named their lounges "xyz Club" and don't upgrade into those categories (e.g. Imperial Club at Rome Cavalieri or Pearl Club at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah). Of course there is a super small chance that someone upgrades you anyway (as we had the honor at Waldorf Astoria Kuwait to get a 160 sqm suite + Ikaros Club access - but only as the hotel was almost new and they wanted to promote the location and the hotel). But I wouldn't bet on that. The reason for this policy is that the offers in those clubs are also more than a standard lounge as you get food and alcoholic beverages throughout the whole day.
      So option No 1 is highly unlikely.
      No 1a: You can also book any room and ask the hotel for the price of Level 45 access. Might be another attractive possibility.
      No 2 could be possible. You definitely get the Level 45 access by that. The official policy for gold members excludes suite upgrades, but that's not uncommon that hotels do that anyway, particularly to Jr. Suites.
      No 2a: You could book it through a provider of Impresario, which will be a bit more expensive, but then the upgrade is a must, as long as there is availability (e.g. www.qxtravel.io/properties/conrad-at-ethihad-towers-hotel#rates). Impresario rates will add up to your normal status, so you get all your points + double points + upgrade + 100 USD in credit for food & beverages. More safe to play.
      Might be interesting in general, as this hotel still has the 4th night free promotion on Impresario rates. Normally, those rates are a bit more expensive compared to the lowest rate, but with the 4th night free kicking in, it might be even cheaper and you get more benefits on top. Normally, QXTravel respects these kind of things, but I'm not sure, if the price shown on the website does so. You would have to request an offer by him before he books it for you and then it must be part of the offer. Another site is www.classictravel.com - here I just checked it and the prices shown are based on the 4for3 offer. But should be the same prices in the end on both platforms.
      No 3: Just tried that out and booked the Conrad for 8 nights end of May (with cancellation possibility ;-) ) - the only thing which came up in the "request upgrade" section was a "one bedroom apartment" for additional 385 AED per night. Offer was better than booking that one directly, but it wasn't the Etihad Suite. :-)

      Impresario bei Conrads, Waldorf Astoria oder LXR ist ein No-Brainer, wenn die Preise gleich oder niedriger sind. In der Regel hat man damit auch Stornomöglichkeiten bis 1 Tag vor Anreise.
      QX Travel haben wir selbst oft genutzt. Seit kurzem erst zeigt er Preise online an, aber man bekommt trotzdem im Nachgang erst per Mail ein Angebot (mit dem dann richtigen Preis) und dann kann man erst buchen.
      Viele Grüße Alex und Marcela ;-)

    Truly impressive, the Conrad most of them. The hotels on Yas Island seem also very nice, worth a visit all of them. Checking the locations on the map, I realized that the international Airport is quite neat to Yas. Did you experience any extreme/annoying noise by the planes flying in/out?

    • @GaJaDreams
      @GaJaDreams  Před rokem +1

      Yes, that's true... Yas Island is close to the airport. But it wasn't really annoying. I mean... particularly at the Hilton when sitting outside for example at the outdoor bar in the evening, 3-4 times per hour a plane was visible, but had its route somewhere behind the hotel. So you slightly heard it, but as they don't fly directly over the hotel, it was absolutely ok.
      So next time in UAE, I guess we meet there ;-)

    So beautiful! It seems there is a lot to do. Happy Belated Birthday! It is too bad diamond members don't have access to the executive lounge. What kind of room do you have to book to get access?

    • @GaJaDreams
      @GaJaDreams  Před rokem +1

      Haha, thanks for the wishes. :-) In the Conrad you get access to "Level 45" when booking a room with "Level 45" in the name. :-) But also the evening snacks and drinks for diamond members in the restaurant were highly appreciated and a good selection.

    Do you know if a Junior Suite Room customers get access to the Level 45 lounge at Conrad Abu Dhabi?

    • @GaJaDreams
      @GaJaDreams  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the lovely feedback! :-)
      All rooms with "Level 45" in their names do get access. The Jr Suite is one of them: "King Junior Suite - Level 45". Next time I'll have to try out Level 45 myself. :-)

    • @edwardkim1330
      @edwardkim1330 Před rokem +1

      Thank you for a quick reply. I requested an upgrade using the Hilton App, but the app’s upgrade request function only said “junior suite” and not “level 45” next to it. I will be there in early April (also Hilton Yas Island, too) and definitely want to check out the level 45.
      Will you do in-depth review of both of those hotels in Abu Dhabi?

    • @GaJaDreams
      @GaJaDreams  Před rokem +1

      Ah, I see. I checked the room categories on the Conrad's website and there is only one Jr Suite, which definitely has Level 45 in its name. So you should be fine with the upgrade - just to be sure, ask at check-in if the upgrade includes the access. In those kind of hotels you can usually also ask at check-in for the price of the club access (without room upgrade necessarily). Didn't ask here, but already did in the past at some Waldorf Astorias.
      Enjoy your trip and please tell me after that if Level 45 is worth the price premium. :-)
      Tried to do a combined shorter review as my backlog is increasing faster than I can create the videos. :-D I'll try my best to also get out an in-depth review of those two hotels.

      @@GaJaDreams Thanks Alex. I will definitely let you know how level 45 experience is, if Conrad Abu Dhabi grants it to me. And I cant wait to see your other upcoming videos. I am also hoping I will receive an offer to upgrade my hilton surpass to aspire card this month, as I will hit my 12 month mark in the next few days.

    • @GaJaDreams
      @GaJaDreams  Před rokem +1

      Yeah... life is simply better with an Aspire card. ;-) Good luck with the upgrade!
      I just realized, I talked a lot about Level 45 in the video, but the images are from the diamond happy hour. :-)
      I assume the Level 45 area has all day snacks and drinks and not only just the two hours. But even the diamond treat was pretty nice. They were absolutely correct in the hotel, so I'm sure you'll get access.
