I'm honestly surprised at your channels quality. Finally a motovlogging channel that goes straight to the point without rambling on about something literally every 10 seconds. Quick and concise, great audio and video quality, different angles... Props man, I really appreciate it. Please keep it this way! Also, nice video regarding the mods! I'm keen on buying one maybe this year and definitely want to buy some mods for it.
I like the tank pads. An easy 5 mods to do and none are very expensive. For performance, I would recommend the following. ECU flash and tune, exhaust, upgraded brake pads. There are other mods of course, but these tend to be the best bang for the buck.
I don't know if people are aware, but aftermarket plate holders have one drawback. They don't catch the crap the rear tire flings up (especially on wet days) as well as the stock ones.
The holder I have from yamaha can be used with and without an extension for that reason. I think the levers are aligned, the brake lever looks like that because the mount is actually longer outwards towards the front.
@@Moztreet Ah ok, in reality they're angled about the same then? I personally like yamahas tail tidy's. If I get an R7 in the future, I'd probably get one from yamaha if someone else doesn't sell something similar for less money haha
here in Brazil this new version of the MT 09 has not yet arrived and the public is very divided regarding this model that we call here futuristic. Brazilians are in love with the previous version, I'm particularly looking forward to seeing this beauty on Brazilian soil.😍😍😍
This vid hit just the right spot and made me subscribe 👍 No fuz informational, just the way it should be and you're voice is very easy to the ears 😆 Keep up the good work and ride safe 👋
Consider a radiator guard, it only takes one stone punching a hole in the radiator to ruin your day. Bar end mirrors look great , but can vibrate and ruin your rear view...I would rather be able to look way back behind me for the ol' bill before I drop down a cog and give it handful
I did consider one but most of the roads I ride on are paved. I may install the evotech guard for the looks. Surprisingly, the mirrors do not vibrate to a point where I can't see through them, although the stock mirrors have a better field of view and alot easier to use. I have to move my arm each time I want to check.
Graves full exhaust, of your going to put on an aftermarket exsaust buy graves with an ecu flash. I really enjoy mine, and it feels like a different bike. And it's sounds awesome
Whats poppin G...shout out to Michigan..i have a mt09 22 myself...i noticed u dont use traction control..i turned off the traction myself the other day and i looped the bike..crazy...i wont lie i push it maybe harder then where my level is ..i want to do the power wheelie without using is much power..ya doggy noone here in Toronto has a mt09 cam...coming soon...DDG
the minimal frame slider scares me! I worry it could easily damage the frame in a crash! What would be the point in saving a side cover at the expense of the entire main frame! That aluminum is SO thin and basically unrepairable I would only feel good about using the three point frame sliders personally although damn I hate adding all kinds of weight to a motorcycle expecially one I have heavily insured anyway
Thanks for the vidéo,i got my mt09 last week,in black...I just fitted a windshield from Puig(Don't know if you have this brand in U.S)...It look great and offer a bit of protection...I agree with you, these tyres are amazing...
Great review 👍 I would go with road 5s when ready to change as I love the wet performance 👍 Was the Yamaha tail tidy easy to install or the same as any other 😉 I really like the way you have it with the mounting arm.....
Thank you for joining the channel! A steering damper isn't a must but if your hands are heavy on the bars, get one. I never felt the need for it personally.
Thanks for your sharing. I have a question, you mentioned getting a screen protector, but why not consider wrapping ppf on your entire bike, including the fuel tank. I think the fuel tank is also very susceptible to scratches. I plan to get a new bike and I'm considering either wrapping PPF on the entire bike or simply getting a screen protector like you. And I'm considering whether to install frame sliders or a crash bar on my bike. What's your opinion on this?
Thanks for sharing. Appreciate the time you put into this video. One question if you don't mind. Everyone with deep pockets is pushing the SP model, do you regret getting non-SP for city and odd out of town use? Seems like "base" already has up and down quickshifter and everything but suspension and cruise control for a good bit less. Thank you.
Almost 90% of people who buy bikes with upgraded suspension do not use them as intended, meaning, properly tuning them for specific use on track. The base suspension was great for me on road and on track, never felt the need for more, unless I wanted a track bike. If you have the money, sure go for the SP it looks cooler.
Agree on SP looks. Having said that I got "current" base MT-09 in the end and I'm over the moon with it. It's a dream machine. Thanks again for the video, I have sliders and bobbins coming in. Bit on the fence for tank pads as they're a bit pricey. As for my own tips - get some plastic polish from reputable brand. Don't need a machine for the likes of dash, can buff out with buffing pad and clean up with microfibre cloth. For general clean looks especially for black colour model use ACF50 after wash, every 3-6months or so. It protects all metal from rust and safe on electronics and plastics and all black bits come to life and stay this way for a good while. Last but lot least get a cheapest adjustable set of crutches, cut off and use small adjustable bit and rubber ends to prop up on rear swingarm for easy wheel and chain clean. I usually use kerosene for the latter. The tool itself easy to store on the go and works on front fork to lift the wheen too. No need for paddock stands.
Me a 16 year old just waiting for the day I'll own one of these sexy beasts, first the MT-03, then an R7, then and only then the MT-09 will be in my grasp

Apart from setting up the suspension properly these are the most useless mods I've ever heard of. Frame and wheel sliders are irelevant if you keep your bike upright, a tail tidy is nothing but cosmetic, and I've never had a problem with scratched screens. Tank pads are optiional, I removed the ones the previous owner put on mine.Save all that money and get an ECU flash and dyno tune to make it run like GOD intended it to.

Also if you look at 4:28 it seems like your levers aren't aligned correctly, your brake lever is tilted higher than the clutch.
The holder I have from yamaha can be used with and without an extension for that reason.

Gotta do the -1, +2 sprockets!! You don't need 150MPH.. 120 is more than plenty too much.

Make sure that right engine slider has a washer pushing the new spacer in. The spacer wasn't there on previous gens. Other than that it fits

Not sponsored but love riding and ain’t rich….so I’d like to throw out excellent CHEAP tires. Mitas (Italy) and shinko’s. Both great tires choices.
You need an exhaust before all of that imo. Great video though.
Working on it!
It has an exhaust look underneath, nice design right? you didn't even know it had one
An exhaust and a tune will be more expensive than all of these mods combined
@@chrissmith6478by you need an exhaust he means a aftermarket one like a akra or a sc project because the stock one is quiet

Imo bigger bikes don't need an exhaust, they usually sound pretty good stock. But a good aftermarket slipon alone, refines the sound.
